As Xavier and Navy looked for Alex, they could not find him anywhere. They were at the meet-up spot the whole time.
" Where's your friend?" Navy asked.
" Alex? I have no idea, his memory is almost worst than an animal's." Xavier said.
" So he's lost?" Navy asked.
" Definitely."
Xavier then walked away before being stopped by Navy.
" Where are you going?" She asked as she placed her hand on his shoulder.
" I'm going to look for my family and the others, maybe wait here for Alex."
" You can't leave me here, as you saw its dangerous because of the number of enemies strolling around the place. Take me with you, Imay at some point meet back up with my family."
" Fine by me," Xavier said.
" That's fast."
As they were walking around they saw a man but could not see who it was as it was dark jumping through a window. As Xavier got a closer look he saw the mayor being held. Xavier then reached out to the mayor but was too late.
" Damn it! What happened to dad, wasn't he protecting the mayor?" Xavier was confused.
It was indeed Feran but Xavier mixed him up for an enemy as the shadows made him look as if he was dressed in black. Xavier then saw an arrow at one of the few columns in the room. The whole was spread out and wide, chairs were everywhere and there was a stage. By the stage were a window and two columns to the sides. It was the very window Feran jumped through.
" So we trail them through the window?" Navy asked.
" I don't know how to climb on a roof, I'm not a ninja, you know!" Xavier complained.
" I can."

" Ahh!" Xavier shouted as the ran and jumped from one part of the roof to another.
Navy was carrying him as only she could climb and keep her balance while Xavier couldn't do such things.
" Slow down!"
" We're already here," Navy said as she let go of Xavier.
" You're a monster of a girl you know that?"
"..."
" You're not even going to talk back? So be it!" Xavier then fit his thin body through the window before reaching out to Navy and pulling her through. As they made it inside, they could not see the mayor or the shadowed man anywhere.
" They must have moved away as soon as they dropped in." Navy pointed out.
" You're right.
They then looked around for any traces of where they could go.
" Here!" Navy shouted.
There was a hallway with two different paths. This made it even more confusing as they had no idea which direction they went.
" Which way do we go?" Navy asked.
" It's better going a direction than none of at all."
" Random?" Navy asked.
" You read my mind." They then went in the shape direction of left. As they walked through the hallway, they saw a huge hole through the wall and an unconscious masked figure on the floor. As Xavier peeped through the broken wall, he saw a lifeless man on the ground.' Must've fallen off from here.' He thought.
As they went further down the way, they saw more dead or unconscious enemies. It was from Vivian's wrath, looking for him.
" You think the shadow guy did this?" Xavier asked.
" He wouldn't attack his allies. Is he even allies with them?" Navy asked.
" If he isn't allied with them and is carrying the mayor, he can only be one person, Feran."
" So this whole thing was worthless?" Navy asked.
" Not everything is worthless, we keep going."
Navy then sighed," Fine."
While walking through the hallway they felt two presences of strong mana in the area. In the darkest corner of the hallway, one could see glowing bloodthirst eyes. Coming from the shadows was a wild mana beast. It was a deer wolf, a hybrid between a wolf and a deer. It had long horns, sharp nails, and sharp fangs. Its head was that of a deer but still similar to a wolf's and its tail had sharp clear spikes. It then leaped with great speed to Xavier. As it snapped its fangs at Xavier's neck, Navy tugged the back of his clothing and pulled him back. She then conjured a small gale of wind in her palm. As she smacked the deer wolf with the wind spell, it was pushed back. Xavier drew his dagger and approached it hastily. As he slashed his dagger at it, it swagged its tail and hit him back to where he stood before.', Stupid bootleg werewolf.'
" Damn it, it's hard fighting with one hand," Xavier complained.
" Let's just team up."
" This thing must've come here from the forest," Xavier said.
" There is no me guarding here after all so that's highly likely," Navy replied.
As Xavier moved towards the front, Navy went to the sides. The deer wolf had no choice one to choose which one of them to attack. It then turned its attention to Xavier as it thought he was the weaker one. As Xavier came within a hair length, he dragged its tail once again at him but Xavier was accustomed to its tail attack, and that allowed him to dodge it. It swung its tail at Xavier's low body, his legs, to make him lose balance and fall but Xavier jumped over the tail dodging the attack. He then flung his dagger at the deer wolf paralyzing it.
" Now!" Xavier shouted.
Navy dashed behind it and there was a high amount of mana around her fists. All this time she had been doing a spell, it looked like a strength-increasing spell. As she hit the Deer wolf, its body pounded into the wall. The Deer wolf then tried retreating after seeing the differences in strength. The dagger's effects didn't last long on it.
" After it!" Xavier shouted.
" Why?" Navy asked.
" Because if it escapes into town a lot of people would get hurt. I'm talking about women, children alike. And those useless guards and knights wouldn't be there to protect them as they can't even be here to secure the mayor all they do is drink at taverns all day."
As they kept walking through the hallway they came across a madwoman. Her golden blond hair was a mess and her white dress looked as dirty as the floor. The woman then turned to face them with the Deer wolf's corpse next to her.
" Mom?"

" Since I can't find anyone, I'm better off informing the knights about the situation." It was Alex.
When he had found the real meet-up spot, Xavier and Navy had already left. He thought telling the knights about what was happening would have changed the situation because of how many knights there were in the town so Alex had left the mansion. As he was scrolling town he could barely find anyone on the streets. He then stopped at a patrol knight.
" The mayor's settlement has been attacked, inform everyone about this."
The knight then scorned him and walked away," Kids these days."
" This is worthless, who's gonna believe me anyway? " Alex sighed.
As he walked away depressed, he heard the sound of laughs coming from the tavern. Xavier then approached it and opened the curtain, he was shocked and disappointed.
" Thank you, em, what's your names?" Nearly all the knights of the town buried themselves in alcohol to the point where some of them were even unconscious. Wine, whatever alcohol you name was all over the place and the tavern owner looked at them with despise as if they were pigs.
" Oh come on, we're buying you all how much alcohol you have to want in request for us not saying our names." It was the voice of two men.
Alex immediately drew his sword as these two men were from the enemy's forces, the masked figures.' I see, so they got the guards and Knights locked up here so that they wouldn't have the chance to protect the mayor. And just how dumb can these drunkards be!' Alex thought.
All the men then turned face to Alex." Hahahahaha! A toy sword!" They had no idea it was real.
" This place is off-limits for kids, all I can provide you with is water." The tavern owner said.
" I'm not here for that! As we speak, the mayor is being attacked and the only ones protecting him are holy knights Wayne and Feran. These masked men dressed in black are here to distract you!"
" Cute, imagination kid, real cute. Though, it's impressive how you know men like Lord Feran and Lord Wayne." They still thought Alex was lying.
Alex then placed his hands on the floor, he was casting a spell.
" Hey! I can't move!" One of the masked men shouted.
" I picked up something from one of your friends you know."
" Hey! This is one of the spells Jacob uses!" The other one said.
" That bastard kid!"
It was the quick-sand-like spell, Alex had copied it for situations just like this. It was the perfect spell to capture enemies.
