Later at night, Camellia walk mindlessly around her room. She was so anxious to start her mission. She need to go to Jessica's house for more information. She can't just sit idly in her house hiding from the world when they need her. She need to give justice for everyone. And her first move that she should do for that exact moment is to sneak out and collect the truth.
After all, Jessica love gossiping around so she must know all the information she need. It just the matter whether all the gossip she have is useful or not. Whether she want to hear about it or not and of course in the current situation, she need them and want to hear about it so much for her thirst of curiosity and to save the innocent people.
While waiting for the time she need to leave, Camellia prepared herself as the night that weather is getting colder and the winter is approaching. She wearing a little thicker clothes from her daily outfit. She wear a brown colour knitted sweater made by her mom that almost fade in their colour and another layer of baggy sweater she bought from the thrift market. She also wrap a dark blue scarf around her neck as she still don't know for how long she will stay in the cold to collect enough evidence.
As soon as she saw the clock hit the ten o'clock at night, Camellia walk on her toe out of her room to avoid making too much thumping on the floor. She peek inside her parents' room between the cracks of the door to make sure that they were already asleep as soon as she arrived in front of the room's door. But all she can see is darkness. So she put her right ear on the wall to make sure they were not talking in the dark and there is no sign of any movement to leave the bed only snore of her dad can be hear. And soft breathing from her mother.
She proceed to go out through the back door as it is further from her parents' room and it produce less squeaking sounds. She walk around carefully avoiding every furniture in her house based on the low light coming from the moon. She need to reduce her chance bumping on the furniture that will make noise and raise suspicious from her both mom and dad. Camellia open the door slowly hoping the sounds would not waking her parents from their deep sleep. Or else all her plan will fall into the gutter. These is only the first step in her plan, so she need it to be perfect in order to proceed with the rest of the plan.
As soon as Camellia succeed in taking her first step out of the house and close the door carefully, she walk stealthily like a house robber towards her friend's house hoping nobody already asleep and they will not recognise her in the dark night. With the help on the moonlight, she reach Jessica's house in no time. Walking around the house to where she know her friend's room is. When she arrived to the spot, Camellia make a soft knock on the window.
"Jess. Jess, are you asleep already? Open up the window. It's me, Camellia." Whisper shout Camellia from the outside of the window. "Jessica, wake up. I need your help." Continue her again a little bit louder. A dim light come from the inside of the room and rustling sound could be heard.
"It seems like the night owl like Jess already falls asleep already today. That's weird. I wonder if that ever happen before." Thought Camellia in her mind.
"Hey, Lia. What are you doing here? And it is already in the middle of the night? Why are you out here at night all alone?" ask Jessica as soon as she saw her friend. What's more shocking is that she is standing all alone in the dark out of her bedroom window. "You are a girl. You are not supposed to be here. Late at night, all alone." Blabber Jessica.
She just about to fall into her dreamland when she heard the knock. Even though it is not loud but she can hear the knock and her name being called clearly from the outside. At first, Jessica decided that she want to ignore the knock but after she hear her name being called she make the decision to left her comfy bed. And forget about her beauty sleep to have a look at the person who dare to disturb her.
"Shhh… lower your voices. I sneak out of my house just now. I don't want your parents awake. But I really need your help right now. Can you do it for me?" whisper Camellia to Jessica.
"Okay. But I need to know about what kind of help do you need from. Is it that important? Can't we discuss it tomorrow?"
"Yeah, it is important. And no. It can't wait for tomorrow. But can you let me in first? It' kind of chilly out here. I'm freezing."
"Oh, yeah. Okay, come in. Do you want to climb through these window or do you want me to open the back door for you?"
"It is fine, I can come in through here. Back off a little bit, please." Plead Camellia full with determination. "One, two, three …aaauff…" climbed Camellia with all her strength to make through the window. "Okay. That's really harder than I expected. I almost slip on the rocks." Complain Camellia even though she successful step in the room.
"That what you get for acting all high and mighty. But now, I want you to explain to me. What makes you walk here all alone at that in the middle of the night? Do you realize that we have school to attend tomorrow? Better explain now quick, short and clear. Make me understand the level of your important." Demand Jessica.
"Oookay. So, it is a matter of life and death actually. And I need you to do me a favour to tell me what is happening out there. I mean the war that happen in the last few days. From what I heard the government is looking for a girl from a sketch through news and flyers. If possible I want you to help me by bring me the flyer for me. I need a confirmation myself. And I need all the information about it. Can you do it?"
"Huh? What do you mean? Why do you need them for? It has been three days since the last time I see you and you demand so much from me? What a weird girl you are."
"I know. I'm sorry about that. My parents does not allow me to go out of the house. Not even a step out of the house, okay. Can you do it? I will come meet you tomorrow night to hear all information you get. Then I will tell you everything you need to know. Okay? Deal? " Camellia scrunch her face and reply her with all her patience. Pouting her mouth with the hope Jessica will do it for her.
*Sigh* "Fine. Okay. It is the deal. You better explain to me. Or else I'm going to report your sneak out to your parents. Humfff…"
"Okay. Thanks, Jess. Good night. Love you." Reply Camellia before she climb out the window to go back to her house.
