Chloe gathered her luggage and rushed out the door. Jax had volunteered to drop her off at the airport. Apparently, he was having a fight with his girlfriend and wanted to get out of the house and "think for a while." Chloe, of course, had no issues with that. He could think while she stared and drooled.
He was already in the driveway of Aunt Laney's villa and helped Chloe load her luggage into the trunk. Then, he stopped and was the one doing the staring. Chloe blinked a few times, trying to understand what he was looking at. She hadn't had a salad or anything that would get stuck in her teeth. Well, she hadn't even opened her mouth much since he had arrived for him to even notice if something were stuck in her teeth. Did she forget to part comb her hair again? She always forgot something when she rushed. She told herself not to rush so much.
