Her mate was just being worried unnecessarily for her. If only he knew what she was capable of. But not to worry because mother time had almost come. She does not plan to hide her powers as the female Alpha, so there was no need trying to be careful about her identity.
While she was preparing for battle, her beta mind linked her, asking what she was up to and if he could come help her with what she was in for. Also, he informed her that the vampire king and Alpha Kenneth have been coming to pay her a visit, but they ended up getting disappointed as she wasn't around, and the fact that they couldn't reach her on phone.
Maya believed that her protectors were havimg the feeling that she needed some protection, for that was the reason they kept coming to the company. But not to worry. She wasn't goimg to out herself in danger, and besides, Alpha Greenfield was right there with her. Having one protector wasn't a bad idea.
