Alpha Derrick was able to escape to Blood Moon Pack with some of his war wolves.
Witch Lana, on the other hand, became petrified at the turn of event. She never expected something like that to happen, for she thought the only obstacle hindering her had died. But it turns out it was rather going to be a long battle.
She should have known things will turn out this way, specially, after the night the powerful howl was heard. Not only that, she had suspected it was Maya, and for that reason, she sent some scouts to find out what was happening, but they came back with no news.
Who would have thought Maya was alive and assembling armies for herself.
Witch Lana didn't have to be told twice that Maya will be coming to reclaim her pack. This is a must, and she feared something has to be done very fast, else she will have to suffer the consequence of paying for the Alpha and Luna's death.
