when Frederick saw Lucas, he could feel a familiar scent around him, but for reasons he did not know, he couldn't well place his hands on whom the boy smelled like.
He has searched for Maya everywhere, but she seemed as though she disappeared away from the surface of the earth.
Where could she be? And what is she doing now.
Its been too long and he regretted stopping her from leaving. This is a battle that she cannot fight alone and that is the reason why he took his men into the woods to search for her. They have all paid their allegiance and vowed to protect her with their very lives.
The three werewolves he saved seemed to be good people, but he was going to ask them in particular why they were chased from their packs and what they did.
He remembered this was how Maya was almost killed, but she still can't tell them where she was from.
They only knew she was a female Alpha, but she will not tell them which pack she was from.
Frederick arranged to meet the new werewolves in their midst.
"You are once again very welcome to our pack, you can call me Alpha Frederick, though over here we don't go through the protocols you normally go through in your packs.
Nathan and Tania seemed to be mates, as they always held on to themselves and seemed to be inseparable.
Nathan was a good warrior, he could tell from the way he defended himself and also defended the boy who smelled familiar.
"Now you can tell me what pack you are from and why you were trying to escape from your pack.
Nathan always answered in place of the two, and so he answered him again.
He told Frederick the pack they were from, how their pack got infiltrated and their loved ones died, and also why they had to escape.
Frederick was speechless at everything he heard.
Never had he thought witches could possess such weapons they use in fighting.
Just how did they come about wolves bane, from what he knew as a rogue, wolves bane plant was never planted anywhere he had seen in the werewolf clan so who the hell could be that daring to make weapons coated with it.
These weapons were only used by the humans to fight off the rogues who infiltrate their community.
Frederick himself have never seen wolves bane or fought with a human who used it.
"Do you know the pack using this wolves bane, and you know such weapons can exterminate the existence of our race.
The Alpha must be very sick to possess such dangerous weapons, which could kill him as well."
Just as they were talking, Cedric came with news, telling the Alpha they still could not trace where Maya was.
Nathan was taken aback as he looked at his mate who was as shocked as he was.
Lucas was also looking very shocked. But they could not ask the Alpha questions when they are not even sure about the Maya they were talking about.
Alpha Frederick felt very pissed as he thinks they Scouter's and tracers were all useless.
They have been looking for Maya over a month now, how possible was it for her to disappear without a trace.
"How can she just disappears without a trace like that, she's not an object for her to just disappear"?
Nathan and the others were becoming very curious to know who they were talking about.
"Alpha Frederick, may I be so bold to ask whom you are looking for, perhaps we might have an idea whom you are looking for?".
Frederick looked at the three of them, who looked very expectant to hear from him. What if they really know about Maya, could they help him find her, or maybe they know about her?
He was willing to take the risk, so long as he could find her.
"She's a werewolf I found in the woods not too far from where I found you.
You can't imagine, how badly she was tortured, that was almost a hair's breadth from dying.
We took her to the pack where she stayed and recuperated, but a month ago, she disappeared in our very own eyes.
And since then, we have been searching for her".
Nathan felt horrified, could she be Maya?
" Is the girl you are talking about perhaps named Maya ".
The three of them chorused in unison and that stroke a cord in Frederick.
" You do know her ".
Tania let out a whimper as Lucas also cried silently.
" Alpha, Frederick, are you saying Maya is alive and not dead?".
"She was not dead before now but am not sure if she will be safe out there since she left."
That struck Frederick again, as he wanted to know how they knew about Maya.
"So, how come you know about Maya?".
" She's the daughter of our Alpha and Luna we told you about, and here is Lucas, are little brother".
Alpha Frederick felt mortified, for he never knew he could find Maya's family in the twinkle of an eye.
"So Maya is from your pack, and she happens to be the daughter of the Strongest Alpha?".
Now everything made sense to Lucas, for Maya's wolf does not seemed to be an ordinary wolf
Who would have thought she had greater powers, and she was special.
Presently he understands why her wolf could affect him since he was her guardian, though they haven't found the other protector yet, but that's not something he was going to tell her family.
Some things were better left unsaid to keep her safe.
Not because he does not trust them but because it might too much of news for them to bear because one they were able to know their Alpha was safe but then again she was out there in. the face of danger yet again.
Tania sobbed, and so did Nathan and Lucas. They all thanked Alpha Frederick for saving Maya and giving them hope again.
Nathan quickly made himself useful, as he joined the other pack warriors in their search for Maya.
Tania made food with the rest of the wolves as Lucas decided to undergo a better training, so he could protect his sister to reclaim the throne.
Frederick decided to have a talk with Nathan, so they could plan on how to rescue Maya and think of how they were going to reclaim their pack.
"Nathan, I want you to tell me everything there is to know about Maya, so it will help us on the search for her.
Nathan really saw how Frederick single-handedly took care of his rogue community. He can't help but feel ashamed of himself, for he thought this was what he should have been doing with his pack rather than betraying it.
Nathan told Frederick of how he was the reason his pack was attacked and how that led to tragedies befalling the pack
He assured the Alpha that he was going to try everything within his power to search for Maya with them, for he was indebted to her and the only way to compensate was to serve by her side and die for her if the need be.
Frederick was impressed at Nathan's mindset of fighting for his loved ones even if it meant him dying for them
This was the true heart of a real hero. He saw he and Nathan shared a common goal, and together they planned their attack.
Maya was the only way through which they can bring down the witches and their plans.
But foremost, she must be found and agree to fight for her pack and takeover as its leader.
Meanwhile, Lucas trained tirelessly when other's rested Lucas refused to rest, he wanted to become as strong as possible.
Tania visited the training site, where she saw Lucas giving hardcore trainings to himself.
"Lucas, don't tire yourself out now, you have plenty of time to train".
Lucas looked at Tania as he continued his training.
"You don't understand Tania, now that I know my sister is alive, I can't lazy about anymore, I have to train and help her reclaim our pack.
I can't continue being useless, and I have hurt her too much, let me train myself, so I can help her in the war, at least I owe her this much.
Lucas was right, ever since they all knew Maya was alive, they all felt their hope. Come alive, now they would do anything to protect her until she finally reclaims her pack.
Tania went back to continue her work as she smiled inwardly knowing they took the best decision escaping Blood Rose pack.
If they never decided to leave, they might never have known about Maya being alive.
The goddess must be giving them a second chance to right their wrongs by making Maya their leader, so she could lead the pack to eternal peace as every alpha was destined to do.
