The two figures continued to attack each other at full force. They weren't stopping at all. Jake was gradually getting more and more comfortable with Axel's fighting style, but the cost he paid for reaching this stage was quite heavy. The entirety of his skin on both his hands and almost half his upper body was comoketekey charred. His underskin was visible.
If Axel had been able to extend the time of contact by some seconds, the only thing remaining would be Jake's skeleton.
After pouring a lot of effort into switching movement technique and attack pattern, Jake finally landed on punch on Axel's back. The situation slowly took off from there and Jake managed to have the attacks meet Axel'd body for the next ten attempts. Each punch was infected with mana and hence the force it carried was enough to crush Axel's bone. He had multiple cracked ribs and his left hand was almost useless at the moment. Both figures jumped back to get some space in between them.
