Jake looked at the girl before turning her head and concentrating on the activities in front of him. He ignored her presence altogether.
The very next moment, a message appeared from the system.
"Emergency Combat Mission: The host is facing a strong enemy.
Survive through the match and try to defeat her.
Rewards: Agility +1, Strength +1."
Jake was shocked by the occurrence and turned his head to see a pouty girl beaming toward him with anger in her eyes. He was still in a seated position, and he slowly rose. It was a better vantage point for him to fight on. Once he calmed down and managed to assume his role, Jake looked at her. He didn't respond this time either.
" I don't want to ask the question again. Were you the one who did that to Axel?" The girl asked.
"What if I am?" Jake asked.
"He is dead for sure."
"He is quite gutsy to assume such an arrogant tone while confronting the red devil."
