The energy bursting out of the Broadsword was powerful enough to intimidate Jake. He had to step back, look toward the enormous shiny Broadsword, and activate all his passive skills to their max to try and predict Erik's next move.
Weapon energy was a unique kind of energy possessed by a martial artist who used a weapon. Almost every type of weapon can be used with weapon energy given the user is able to gain a certain level of mastery in it. The mastery of any kind of weapon depends on the user's power and his ability to morph the weapon used in a way which is suited for him.
An energy which is unique to any kind of weapon is difficult to achieve. Jake had the desire to obtain that energy soon, but it was taking time because of him training all the prospects of his body. Since the opponent was going to use weapon energy against him, Jake decided that he was going to use something on similar levels. He decided to use the mana infusion in his weapons.
