Early in the morning, Peter, and Ben arrive infront of the Kent farm. Soon Clark Kent steps outside to greet them.
"Welcome." Clark says with a smile.
Peter looks around, and smiles at this place that is so different from where he grew up.
"It's so... peaceful out here." Peter says.
"Yeah, Ma and Pa always knew I'd comeback some day. This place been in my family since nineteen twenty. Mad it easy to raise an alien when no one's around." Clark says.
He then grabs the bags out of Peter's hands.
"Clark, I can carry those myself. I am pretty strong too, you know." Peter jokingly says.
"I know, just being courteous. The rooms are already made up for you guys, now we'll just wait on Lois and Andrea to comeback with information about who tried to have you killed." Clark says.
Meanwhile, Lois Lane and Andrea Watson wait at a diner in New York City.
"He should be here anytime now." Lois says.
She then notices a somber expression on Andrea's face.
"Still thinking about last night?" Lois asks.
Andrea sighs.
"He knew. The man knew about that he was going to be shot and it was like it was just another day of the week for him. Peter can do, all these amazing things, but it still worries me how much he endures. He always get back up, but what happens when he can't anymore?" Andrea says.
Lois gives her an understanding smile.
"I married the strongest man on this planet. Bullet proof, lazer eyes, faster than a speeding bullet. But I will never not worry about him when he picks up that shield. It's ok to worry about them. Just means we love them so much."
Andrea smiles, then Lois notices a man walking towards the diner in a hurry.
"He's here." Lois says.
The man barges into the diner in a panic.
"They knew!" The man says.
Lois puts her hand on his shoulder and guides him to their table.
"Benny." Lois says.
"I swear they knew!" Benny says.
"I need you to breathe." Lois tells him.
"I think they followed me." Benny says, looking back.
"Did you get it?" Lois asks.
"The way they were looking at me..."
"Benny, did you get it?"
Benny sighs and unzips his jacket, revealing a wire.
"Yeah. I got it. They said they had Parker shot. talked about bringing in more metas to make sure the job is done right next time."
He hands Lois the recording.
"I know this wasn't easy, but you did good, Benny." Lois says.
"I...I really didn't want people to get hurt." Benny says.
Andrea and Lois smiles.
"That's admirable." Andrea says.
Benny then buries his face into his hands.
"I knew I didn't belong with them. I just don't know how to get out." Benny says.
At that moment, Oracle talks through both Lois's and Andrea's earpieces.
"Lois, Andrea, two men are approaching the diner. Tap the table if you want assistance." Jill says.
Andrea and Jill look at each other, then two bald men come into the diner. The two men then sees Benny sitting with Lois and Andrea.
"Benny? What's this?" One of the men asks.
Benny freezes.
"Maybe it's a date." Lois says.
The two men laugh.
"Nah, both of you are way too good for him."
One of the men then take a closer look at Lois.
"You know what, bitch? I've seen you around the hall, asking questions. I think there's something funny going on here."
The two men prepare to get violent, as Lois and Andrea step up, holding their ground, while Benny cowers in fear.
"Damnit, NightDevil converge on the diner." Jill says.
At that moment, Andrea lands a palm strike to one of the men, knocking him out.
"You-"
Lois kicks the second man between the legs and punching him in the face, dropping him as well.
"Nice one." Lois says.
"Thanks. Been Kidnapped a few times, so I took a self defense class."
Lois chuckles.
"If I had a nickel." Lois replies.
At that moment, Dick barges in prepared to fight, but is surprised to see the two men already knocked out.
"We didn't tap the table." Lois says with a smirk.
Dick chuckles.
"Oracle, I've converged. Now what?" Dick asks.
"Benny, NightDevil here is going to take you to Commissioner Stacy, one of the best cops I've ever met. An actual superhero is actually gonna protect you until we've shut down your former friends." Lois says.
Later, at the Kent farm Lois and Andrea arrive and are met by Clark and Peter, they wrap their arms around their mutual partners.
"Jill said you two made Dick a bit redundant. What have you learned?" Peter says with a smile.
"It's a white supremacist cell of intergang with a sizeable war chest. They're not happy about Peter's refugee charity." Lois says.
Clark sighs.
"I spent so much time fighting Nazis, yet I still don't understand them." Clark says.
Lois puts her hand on the side of Clarks face.
"I know. That's why I keep you around."
Clark smiles at his wife, and Peter puts his hand on his shoulder.
"We'll flush them out. Tomorrow. Right now, I think Ben has secretly started cooking while we were talking." Peter says with a smile.
They all laugh, then go inside where they see that Peter was right, seeing Ben cooking food. They all sit together and eat, share stories, and laugh, enjoying themselves. Both Peter and Clark are two very different people, but at that moment, they were just two men, surrounded by the people they loved.
That night, as Peter stands outside, looking at the stars, Lois comes outside to join him.
"Can't sleep?" Lois asks.
"I tend to keep strange hours." Peter replies.
"Yeah, I'm a bit of an night owl myself. Clark does mornings."
"That sounds about accurate." Peter jokingly says.
"Yeah. Because of that, I wasn't all that surprised when I found out he was an alien." Lois says.
The two share a chuckle.
"So when did Clark tell you about my little secret?" Peter asks.
"Clark? No, he would never tell a secret, not even me. He's as loyal as they come. I just put two and two together. He's always talking about Spider-Bat, but took interest in every story about Peter Parker, and always looked proud when you were out making a difference."
Peter smiles, feeling a large amount of pride hearing that.
"Clark may be able to leap tall buildings in a single bound, but he thinks you can walk on water. I probably shouldn't be telling you this, but I'm pretty sure you're his hero." Lois says.
Peter's smile gets even bigger, as he looks up at the sky.
"The feeling is definitely mutual." Peter says.
