In the cave, Peter sits alone, trying to decompress everything that has happened with the court of owls, Harry, and Felicia. Ben then walks up next to him, worried about the young man.
"Are you alright sir? I'm worried about the toll these past few days have taken on you, both physically and mentally."
Peter sits in silence for a moment.
"I have to be. For New York. The court needs to be stop."
"And what about Harry, Master Peter?"
Peter doesn't answer for a moment.
"I want to help. Make things right between us, but- I'm not sure that I can. Not right now at least. Right now I have to focus on stopping the court of owls."
"Understood, sir." Ben says.
At that moment Peter gets a call from Lincoln Smythe.
"Hey Lincoln. Sorry I haven't been answering your calls, I was-"
"Nevermind that, are you watching the news right now?" Lincoln asks.
Peter is confused.
"News? No, why what's going on?" Peter asks.
"It's Harry, he's lost it, I tried to stop him but I couldn't talk him out of it."
"Out of what?" Peter asks.
"Just- see for yourself." Lincoln says hanging up.
Peter quickly turns on the news in the cave and sees Harry talking at a press conference.
"Recent evidence and allegations have given me no choice but to seize the Parker Estate. So the corrupt wealth of New York's elite can go to the better purpose of protecting New York's common man. Parker has twenty four hours to evacuate his property and turn it over to the city- or he will be removed."
"This is ridiculous." Ben says.
"I knew Harry was upset, but to make a false claim like this. He's definitely fallen off the deep end."
"You can't let him throw us out on the street."
Peter thinks for a moment.
"I have to talk to him." Peter says.
"Alright, just be careful. He may not be the same friend you once knew." Ben says.
Peter nods and leaves while Ben looks at a picture of the two boys when they were teenagers.
Meanwhile Harry stands on the roof of City Hall, flipping his coin.
"I don't know if that was the right thing to do. Why did I do that?... Don't screw this up, Harry."
Peter then slowly approaches his friend.
"Harry? We need to talk." Peter says.
Harry scowls at Peter.
"If you've come to save your home. You're wasting your time. My mind is made up."
"Look. I am sorry about Felicia, but this is wrong. Falsely accusing me and my family, trying to take my home from me. I've always supported you. You were my friend, you still are."
"Tell me, Pete. We're you thinking about our friendship when you were screwing Felicia?"
"I get it, you're still pissed at me. But this has to stop, now."
Harry steps forward to Peter.
"New York deserves a mayor that can focus on cleaning up this city. That's why I'm taking everything from you. It's time you started paying your debt to New York." Harry says.
"You mean paying my debt to you? We both know these charges are ridiculous, I've done nothing but try to help this City."
Harry turns to the city.
"A strong leader doesn't back down. When they see an enemy- they crush them- without hesitation."
Harry pulls out a hand radio.
"What are you doing?" Peter asks.
"Sending a message. I made a promise to this city that I would make it better. That I would weed out the crime and corruption." Harry says.
"Harry, what are you talking about?" Peter asks.
"Ready to go." A voice from the other end of the radio says.
Harry smirks at Peter.
"Do it." Harry says.
Seconds later, an explosion goes off in the city. Peter looks at the damage Harry caused, in shock.
"Harry, what did you do?" Peter asks.
Harry smiles.
"A street gang were holding drugs in a wear house. I took care of it."
Harry then calls into the radio.
"Are the drugs destroyed?" Harry asks.
"Yeah but... That blast was way bigger than you said! We must have taken out a whole city block with it!... the apartment nextdoor... even our own guys got caught in the explosion!" A voice from the other end of the radio.
"The drugs are gone from the city. That's all that matters." Harry replies.
Peter stares at his former friend in horror.
"That's- what a leader does." Harry says.
Peter gets angry.
"Does a leader kill innocent people?! You're a murderer now. Just like your father." Peter says.
Harry throws his radio to the ground in anger.
"I am nothing like my father. Their deaths are unfortunate. But think about everyone those drugs could have hurt. Feels like an acceptable price to pay. I couldn't just destroy the drugs- I had to make a statement! I needed the court of owls and any other potential enemy's, waiting in the shadows, to know what I'm capable of. That I'll do anything to protect this city. That I'm the guardian of New York City!"
Peter hides his surprise about Harry knowing about the court of owls and faces his friend.
"That new face suits you. You're a monster."
"Sometimes you need a monster, Pete. I can see it in tomorrow's headlines now- hero mayor saves citizens of the city. Meanwhile, somewhere in the back they'll stick the article about Peter Parkers tragic suicide." Harry says.
"What the hell are you talking about?"
"These past few years have been- hard for you. The lose of your parents, the death of your true love, the overwhelming pressure of running Parker Industries. No one will question finding your body in crime alley, the same place you found your parents." Harry says.
At that moment Peter turns around and sees three of Harry's men coming up from behind him.
"Goodbye old friend. Say hi to Gwen for me."
Peter gets angry and punches Harry in the face.
"I hope that was satisfying. That's the last one you get."
The men then grabs Peter takes him away from the roof.
Later, Peter is taken to crime alley with handcuffs.
"On your knees, now." One of them say.
Peter wants to preserve his identity, and slowly does what he's told but tries to talk them out of doing this.
"You guys are cops, you're supposed to protect people. Keep them safe. Is this really what your badge stands for?" Peter says.
"Look we don't have a choice. This is how we keep people safe. If we don't follow orders, the mayor will tear this city apart."
"Besides, we finally have a leader who wants results."
"He murdered multiple innocent people. Your fellow officers. If he's not stop, more people will die."
"Enough of this, I'm done listening."
One of them puts a gun to the back of his head. Peter prepares to risk his secret identity, but that's when Catwoman drops down, landing on one of the cops. She then spinkicks the second one in the face, and grabs a gun to knock out the last one with.
"Ok, now we are officially even." Felicia says, making Peter smile.
She then searches for keys to unlock Peter's handcuffs, but Peter breaks out of his cuffs by himself with his strength.
"Thanks for the save." Peter says.
Felicia smirks.
"What the hells going on?" Felicia asks.
"Harry's gone off the deep end. I have to stop him."
"Well, good luck with that." Felicia says.
"You don't want to help?" Peter asks.
"Like I said, we're even. I'm staying as far away from Harry, as possible." Felicia says.
Peter chuckles.
"Fair enough."
He then jumps onto the walls and starts climbing up, making Felicia smile.
"Goodluck, Spider."
