Chapter 7 - A Fated Encounter!

(Current Location -

Planet: Goliath

Time: She is in the process of tripping)

Despite the fact that they were soft and delicate, she felt safe, and despite the fact that she was in the embrace of a stranger she had never met, she wished for time to stop at this very moment and for her to stay in this stranger's embrace forever.

If his hands were soft, how did she know he was a man?, 'GIRL POWER'. (Don't try to make sense, no one ever has)

She had never had any physical contact with a man before, aside from the obligatory handshakes. As she felt the stranger's arms gently wrap around her stomach, touching her waist, she knew it was a first for her.

In her defence, she was falling and well, about to die after falling so perhaps not falling on her face and then dying would be preferable, and that guy,

(Don't even try asking how she was sure they were of similar age) ya so, she continues to think..

And that guy had just saved her from a face-slam on a rocky plateau planet with red soil which was wet due to the moist accumulating in the cavern to due to the shiny stalactites dripping water which took years for just a droplet of some strange chemical liquid which always turns out to be expensive to form just to be wasted by falling on the ground making the specially prepared red-paste soil dish ready.

She wasn't sure why she was defending him, but she was clearly enjoying her slow-motion time in his embrace. Was she always this way? Or was it something else she was feeling?, And since when did she have such a huggy personality?

Just as she was researching more about herself, assembling her thoughts to form an appropriate conclusion, her slow-mo sweet huggy time ended as she tilted her head around to have a look at the stranger in whose arms she was resting, unconsciously hoping to see a handsome face of a prince-charming hero but that was completely unconscious hoping, because her pride and dignity would never allow her to do so openly.

Oh, and don't mind the spiders; they're just into romance.

As she returned her gaze to her savior, she felt her exhaustion set in as the adrenaline in her body calmed down the moment she felt relaxed in the embrace of the stranger.

But her curiosity got the best of her as she pushed herself to the limit in order to get one last look at her savior, and then she saw it.

A small incident had occurred when she was a small 8-year-old child, and the girl had thrown a huge tantrum because she was stuck in her task and stubbornly refused to sleep until she could complete it.

Her mother's heart sank as she watched her like this. Her mother was a lovely lady with bluish eyes and long blue hair that hung down to her waist. She was in her early thirties, but her perfectly symmetrical face and bright soft skin were enough to melt any man's heart. Her name, 'Athena,' was as lovely as her appearance.

Athena walked into her room and climbed up onto her bed, where her daughter sat. She cradled her daughter's head in her lap and gently stroked her hair. as she told her, ""Difficulties are inevitable in life, and it is the challenges you face that make you stronger, just as a rough diamond must be struck repeatedly to reveal its true luster. Also, keep in mind that there is no problem in the world that cannot be solved "..

"Then what if I'm stuck in a situation that I can't get out of?" her daughter asked, a cute little pout on her face.

"Then you try your hardest again and again until you succeed," Athena replied, but was interrupted by her daughter's nagging question, "And what if I don't have the time to try again?"

As she said, "Then wait," Athena gave her a slight mature smile that was enough to shoot bullets into the hearts of many.

She was fairly surprised when her mother said her to wait in the face of difficulty but listened patiently as her mother continued, ""Wait for it to happen," she said, "for someone will arrive to help you and you will see a miracle in front of your very eyes, your perspective of the impossible will change and your thoughts will be stopped as if time has slowed, and when you meet that someone remember to never let go."

Yes, what her mother said was true, because at this very moment she was looking at a whole new world in those eyes. She locked her gaze on the green-emerald-like eyes that appeared to be made of glass. They glistened with purity and innocence, devoid of any hidden agenda or treachery far beyond her comprehension.

She could only think of one thing right now: losing herself in the depths of those eyes that seemed to span the abyss. They were delicate enough to be shattered by a single gust of wind, but she felt something else, something she had never felt before, not even in the presence of her mother, who was not an ordinary woman because she was on the path to being one of the greater beings.

Ah!, and then she realized what she was feeling: she felt like no one in the world, not even the gods, could harm her as long as she was with this man, because those same delicate eyes were far more dangerous than they appeared.

He was just a young boy, maybe even younger than her, but he was not at all ordinary, she sensed it by his hands touching her. Yes, he was far more powerful than anything her imagination could conjure up.

And in the midst of it all, she suddenly remembered the spider beasts chasing her and quickly turned her head to see what she saw, which made her soul shudder.

It was a disaster, with thunder and lightning ripping the sky apart and the Earth splitting open with burning magma erupting, as if the world was about to end and the apocalypse was about to begin.

The dozen spider beasts chasing her were lying dead on the red soil with disfigured bodies, their eyes protruding out of sockets, their limbs tangled, and their insides pouring out, which surprised her even more. (You didn't actually think they were romance novel aficionados, did you?)

It was an appearance that would scare anyone, making them vomit their insides out at a single glimpse of the horrendous sight.

She shifted her gaze back only to meet the boy's gaze as their eyes locked, and she noticed a faint, almost imperceptible red hue in the boy's green eyes as a revelation dawned on her.

Was all that was going on outside, with the roaring of the skies and the splintering of the grounds, even the beasts' bodies lying lifeless on the barren land, connected to the owner of those same gorgeous eyes?

'Monster' was the only word that came to mind. He wasn't a human, and he couldn't be because this was not something that could be achieved by a mortal; he is a disaster in and of himself. If her eyes weren't deceiving her and what she was seeing wasn't hallucinations, she could only come to one conclusion: 'He was an army of trillions in himself, a force to be reckoned with, who could shake the entire world, and although she didn't want to admit it, the pressure she was feeling from him made the pressure she was feeling from her mother almost non-existent.'

Yes, her so-called delicate-eyed cute young boy was far stronger than anything she had ever seen or heard of, someone she must never offend lest her entire kingdom be destroyed.

Her exhaustion caught up with her and her dizziness took over as she thought about all of this. She was fighting to stay awake with nothing but her willpower, which was fueled by a strong desire to see her savior's face.

She had only seen his eyes, not his face, and she had no idea what his name was. She mentally slapped herself in the face as she realized she knew nothing about him and turned to face him, but unfortunately, she passed out before she could see his face.

In the far apex of Goliath was a man standing upright, covered in blood, both red and green and surrounded by corpses of man and beasts alike.

He was on his own, and he was witnessing what he could only describe as the end of the world.

He was one of the squad captains of the beta team, which was made up of elite soldiers who had been trained for years, and he was now the squad's sole survivor.

He removed a bracelet from his right arm that appeared to be made of gold and featured a blue crystal in the center. This lovely ornament served as a means of interplanetary communication.

He infused some magical energy, or mana, into the bracelet, and the crystal began to glow, accompanied by a stern voice that said, "Report, captain of squad 5, Mark Talen."
