"I asked him what skill he used earlier and it was Shadow lighting— founded by a couple with shadow and lighting magic, apparently they thought of about fusing each other's magic. The skill is both applicable to a shadow and lighting caster. They also were the founder of magic fusion."
Ezryn said, flipping a page from a headcover book. Him, Luna and Shiki (surprisingly) decided to go to the Library. Initially the library cannot accept foods and drinks inside, but Ezryn got ways and probably because of Shiki.
Ezryn was baffled when the librarian who was always so strict just let them off when they took snacks in and just went off in a hurry, as if she was avoiding someone— like a criminal running away from a police. Luna on the other hand just knew why as she glance towards Shiki.
"I didn't know you can fuse two magic together, that's fascinating." Luna implied, taking the book from Ezryn as she read what it contained.
The book was a thin hardcover book, seemingly having an exact hundred chapter. It was a book that talks about magic fusion or combination; How it is performed and can be carried out.
In the book, it is implied that a caster must first have one of the ability, it must be already their main, it is said that fusing it with the other would be more harder if it isn't their main magic.
The way to fuse shadow and lighting magic or any other magic together is—first; to learn the basic of the magic they wanted to fuse with their magic, second; they have to manipulate the flow of their mana. It is implied that every mage has different mana flow especially when using magic.
"This is too hard to acquire, but Austin did it, he pulled it off." Ezryn remaked as he continued to scan the book together with Luna, adjusting the sliding glasses of his.
"Agree, we got a week to prepare, I can't imagine how tedious of a process he did in just a week for to be able to pull that off. " Affirmed Luna in awe.
Shiki on the other hand just watched the two who was sitting across him together, eating the snacks they bought along. To his eyes, the two looks like kids who discovered a book about insects. As well as he couldn't help but to think, when did the two of them get so close.
Going back, in taking step two in mind, if they want to use both of the magic together they needed to manipulate their mana where it is applicable for both magic to work. Like when you can use two monitor screen at once, or when you know how to use two or more languages in one sentence.
The book did not imply how to find the applicable flow of mana, for it may differ to a person, the couple' method may work in some people but not to others which is why they didn't bother to put it up.
However, being able to use magic fusion doesn't mean the caster can use the magic he or she applied to fuse with, although since they do learn the basic of the fused magic, they may able to use it moderately, but unable to use it fully unless they learn it earnestly.
"You two should better finish your food, almost 15 minutes have passed." Shiki said, disturbing the two' reading session.
The two looked at Shiki who already emptied his bottle and saw the empty chip container. They then took the snacks they bought along and started to unwrapped it.
"Ah, by the way, how was your...well, stalking with Rei and her date go?" Luna suddenly asked, opening her bottle.
"So-so." Shiki replied shortly, leaning back to the chair.
"I see." Said Luna "who was it? Her date I mean, who is it?"
The maiden couldn't hide her curiousity onto what Shiki and Remus find yesterday. It did caught her curiousity when she found out Rei was about to to on date yesterday. She doesn't like picking her nose to others' business, although sometimes she couldn't help it.
"You sure are getting bolder asking me something that is needed to be held a secret." He uttered and surprisingly snickered after.
"You're quite an obscure person, do you know that? But I don't think you'll keep your mouth shut about who your sister is dating, perhaps it'll be Remus who'll stubbornly refuse to say who it was." Luna exclaimed, which made Shiki nodded as then leaned closer to the table, his arms resting on top of it, signaling the two to get closer to him.
"Not quite of an accurate distinction, but alright, I'll tell it to both of you."
"I'm not really curious but alright...?" Remarked Ezryn who somehow got himself into something he wasn't supposed too.
Before Shiki disclose whatever he was about to say, he first look at their surroundings, but eventually they were the only one there including the librarian at the counter which was far from them. "We saw her with Arlo yesterday, it was unexpected, really."
With that Shiki leaned back to his seat and so was the two. Shiki expected for Luna to react but rather it was Ezryn who gave him a reaction first.
"With Arlo?" There was disbelief in the tone of his voice, it was rather skeptical.
Shiki then nodded in response, "I was also in disbelief at first, but it was really him." He implored "Also, Don't mention the date to Remus."
Luna immediately understood what shiki was trying to imply, making her to agree and nod at his request while Ezryn titled his head, baffled about it.
"Is it because He likes..." He trailed off, hesitatedly wanting to continue.
"Yeah." The two affirmed in unison.
Ezryn nodded, "I see, so Remus does like Rei. Well they do give off quite of an atmosphere together."
Because of that Ezryn suddenly saw how the two whip there heads at him as if their eyes were questioning him or as if saying 'what-are-you-even-saying' in silence.
"Uhh, if it isn't her, then, could it possibly be...Arlo?"
"....."
Like as one phrase say 'Silence means yes' and because of that Ezryn's question seems to have been indirectly answered.
On their way back to the arena, Luna halted when she saw a familiar silhouette. Because of this, she could help but to hide behind the two men's back.
'Why is he here? I mean every students were here at the arena, sure. But why is Dion here, specifically on our bleachers, he's even entertaining himself by talking with our classmates!'
Meanwhile while Luna was on a verge of panicking, the two (Shiki and Ezryn) were rather baffled about her sudden behavior.
Ezryn who caught a glimpse of the student council president being on their seat, eventually concluded his companion' sudden behavior. It was no surprise to know how much Luna wants to avoid him.
Perhaps because of him leaping back all of a sudden and with the addition of his interaction with Luna for the past days, he seems to easily spot her in the crowd. This made him feel as if, he's a stalker or some creepy fellow.
Well, she did too indirectly confess about it to him recently. Although, despite knowing this, Ezryn just couldn't understand why the president of student affairs be that obsessed with Luna. No matter how much she avoids the man, it as if the more she piqued his interest.
If he were to say, it seems like Dion has a unhealthy obsession towards Luna.
"What's the matter with you?" With Shiki's sudden remark, Ezryn's thought was disturbed.
He glance to his side to see Shiki pulling Luna as she then got in front of them. This man seem to have no slightest bit of idea about why Luna hide behind them, and he was in no position to tell him why.
"Just ignore him like a wind, I doubt he'll do something when people are watching."
Or so he thought. Ezryn was quite puzzled by Shiki's sudden remark, 'So he knew about it too.'
Ezryn isn't particularly close to Shiki, this perhaps was the first time he and him interacted— not including the Banquet incident, of course. Although, Ezryn was very attentive when it comes to his surroundings.
To him, Shiki is someone who is hard to understand. He was like a complicated maze, when you thought you're going to the right direction but it was actually a dead end. Because of his demeanor and how great he hides his emotions through his stoic cold expression, that's probably why it's hard for people to apprehend what goes through his mind.
The three soon reached their seat, but this time, they let Luna sit in between them. While Shiki eventually sat near the edge, where Luna was initially and next to him was the two beast of Luna who was undoubtedly looking at him as if they're confused onto why their beloved master was between him and Ezryn.
Marvin then later on March towards the center Field together with Zelde who was holding the box containing students name of Section A.
