As a normal woman, she trusted her natural instinct and immediately turned around, pushing him away as she jumped up from the chair, accidentally kicking over the porcelain bowl of cherries, "Don't touch me!"
A few girls shrieked as they moved away and Daphne also stepped on her long dress, almost losing her balance as she wobbled back and forth before finding it again. She glared at the vampire cautiously, but her eyes were in no comparison as scary as his.
The creature's eyes narrowed as he slowly sat up, his dark and thin eyebrows knitting together into a furious line, "How dare you?"
He was a pure blooded vampire, the creature above all and only below one! How could a mere fairy at the Brothel tell him what to do and even dare to push him?! Even the other vampires around did not dare to lay a finger on him. Besides, her manners had been awful since she had arrived.
Ramon pressed his lips together as he stared at the woman in front of him, who fearlessly stared back, "Ada!!!"
After the scream, the large room turned uneasily silent as no one even dared to breathe too loudly, including Daphne. She had accidentally stepped on the creature's tail. . . Uh oh -
It only took a few seconds before the door burst open as Ada practically sprinted in, her eyes looking around for a sign of the reason for why she was called in with such anger, "Yes, Master Ramon. What is it that you need?"
Ramon points at Daphne with his index finger, narrowing his blood red eyes into snake-like slits, "This girl. . . How dare you give me an untrained girl like her?!"
Ada looked over at Daphne, her expression changing from fear to anger when she faced Daphne, and then she quickly turned back to face the vampire again, the fear and humble expression returning, "Master Ramon, may I ask what happened?"
The vampire's red eyes glistened in the room as he glared at Ada, but his thin finger pointed straight at Daphne, "This girl offended me."
At once, Ada turned around and glared at Daphne, her lips twitching as she raised one arm aggressively, bringing it down to slap Daphne. However, there was no way Daphne would just stand there and get slapped like that, and she quickly grabbed Ada's hand before it could reach her.
"You -" Ada's face turned red from both anger and embarrassment, "How dare you?! I -" She raised her other arm in an attempt to hit Daphne again, but she stopped when she heard the vampire behind her say lazily, "No need to hit her."
Ada cleared her throat and awkwardly lowered her arm, glaring at Daphne as if she wanted to kill her, "Apologize!"
Daphne narrowed her eyes, thinking why should she apologize! She did nothing wrong! However, the situation she was in right now was not fit for her stubborn attitude. She was a nobody here and it would do her no good to try and go against Ada or the vampire.
"I'm sorry," she mumbled underneath her breath, catching the other girls grinning from the corner of her eye.
"What did you say?" Ada was the one to speak, and Daphne felt a ball of flame boil inside her chest, silently cursing at Ada. The vampire didn't even say anything yet, and here she was telling her how to apologize!
"I'm sorry," she said louder, looking up at the vampire who had a pleased smile on his face.
Ada still did not seem very pleased, but the vampire was getting bored, so Ada unwillingly kicked her out of the room, "I am so sorry, Master Ramon. I will bring you a new girl right away."
Then, she pushed Daphne out of the room, following closely behind her as the two of them reentered the loud hallway on the second floor as Ada shut the door, whipping around right away.
"It is your honor to be noticed by the pureblooded vampire!" She immediately began screaming, and Daphne squinted her eyes together when she could feel the spit landing on her face, "How dare you?! Didn't I tell you about the rules?! Do you think this is over? Wait right here!"
Then, Ada marched off, stomping away and down the stairs. Daphne looked around confusedly, not sure of what to do. Did Lady Ada tell her to wait here? What for?
A moment later, Ada was back with another girl, one of the ten that were brought here with Daphne as Daphne recognized her to be the mermaid she had talked with on the ride here.
"Get in here with me," Ada grunted, and the two of them followed Ada back into the room, "Master Ramon, I brought another girl here for you. She will definitely be better."
Ramon blinked his eyes open slowly, chewing on a grape as his eyes landed on Daphne first. Seeing the vampire's eyes on Daphne, Ada quickly laughed and pushed Daphne forward, "And of course the Brothel has punishments for what she did. I am so sorry for the inconvenience caused."
Ada's tone changed right away as she muttered underneath her breath to Daphne, "Kneel!"
Daphne whipped her head around and gaped at Ada, not expecting for the punishment to be so humiliating, "No way."
Lady Ada had never met a woman as uncivilized as Daphne, and her ears turned red from anger as she screamed loudly, "Kneel down right now! Or else I will increase the hour amount!"
Hour?! She had to kneel for several hours?! Daphne could feel the other girls staring at her as she looked back and saw that the vampire was also waiting for her with an entertained expression on his face.
She had to find a way to get out of here, Daphne thought to herself. But for now. . .
She pressed her lips tightly together and she could feel her heart wanting to jump out of her chest as she slowly faced the vampire and bent down onto her knees.
