Pov. Laini Queet
How did I end up in this situation, one minute I have the upper hand. The next minute I'm gagged and tied up being cared off to God knows where to be God knows what. Sure he said he will fight me in a fair fight but I'd be stupid to believe that for a second.
Blindfolded and placed in the back of a car I felt them drive somewhere. Luckily for me, it didn't take long to reach the destination. And again I was cared over someone's shoulders like a sack of potatoes. After walking for a bit they put me down and took off the blindfold. As I look around I find myself in some kind of an arena with Qin standing right in front of me. He reaches down and puts his hand on my stomach and uses some type of magic. When he lifts his hand I see some type of seal on my stomach.
'I know this dirty human wouldn't give me a fair fight.'
As he walks to the other end of the arena one of his subordinates unties me and leaves. As I stood up and looked around I noticed where we were. It's the chaos arena, one of the places Nomad controls.
"What's the meaning of this, why did you bring me to Nomad's territory!? Were you working for them all this time!?"
"I don't work for anyone, well unless they pay me a suitable amount. But that's beside the point, this place is my territory now and soon Nomad will be mine too."
"You expect me to believe that bull, just look around you, most of the people here work for Nomad. There are some Nomad executives in those V.I.P seats. Ingrid the most loyal dog of Nomad is right there," I say as I point right at her.
"All of the people you see here are my subordinates and will help me kill Edwin. As for Nomad, I'll be taking over since it would be a waste to just destroy it."
"Bull," was all I said since there's no way he was able to put that many spies into Nomad. The fact that Ingrid herself is spying for him is the most blatant lie I've ever heard.
"Ladies and gentlemen are you ready for a fight," I suddenly hear, so I look up to see Oboro on the big screen above the arena.
'Another one of Edwin's dogs, and he expects me to believe he's not working for Nomad.'
"Well aren't we in for a treat today, the opponent is Laini Queet is the leader of the Rebel Leader that has people in Dark World and the human realm. She's someone that's been fighting against Nomad as well as the Dark World nobles for many years. Edwin himself said she can be a threat to him with her mysterious powers."
That caused the crowd to cheer, it's true that my powers are indeed a threat to Edwin. Unfortunately, I would have to kill him on the first shot, or else he would kill me. That's why I need help to kill him since I'm not strong enough to kill him in one shot. With my strength, I would be able to cause serious damage to his soul but it won't kill him so I would need someone to weaken him before I shot him with my arrow.
'Since I've been caught, I might as well try to kill him before I die. I may even be able to damage his soul to a point that when his enemies hear about it they will finish the job for me.'
As I look around for him I don't see him, I guess the coward wasn't brave enough to see my execution himself.
"Her challenger is our beloved emperor and the man that will kill Edwin Black. He is the one, the only, Qin Shi Huang! His powers are equally mysterious but he is the only person that was able to establish an empire in hell even though he isn't a resident of that realm. Which is something that even Edwin himself was unable to do."
What she said shocked me, as I looked around to see people's reactions. I saw people cheering or clapping their hands but no one had a look of surprise or shock about what she just said. The Nomad executives looked like she said something obvious, even Ingrid didn't look surprised or even angry about what Oboro just said.
"Now then let's get this fight started, "I hear him say.
"Who are you?" I asked, not understanding what was happening.
"Isn't that obvious I'm your new master and for my first order, attack me with the intention to kill me until you get knocked out. That way this won't be over so quickly."
Hearing him say that the tattoo on my stomach glows. So I pick up my bow that was left on the floor and summon the maximum amount of crystal arrows I can shoot at one time, aim at him and shoot.
Pov. Ingrid
"What's the point of this if he already put the slave seal on her already?"
"It seems that he feels that she needs to be broken in," says Shiranui.
"Isn't this the wrong place to do that, I also don't want to see them go at it," I said.
"Not everyone is a pervert like the people in Nomad. He tends to like to break people's spirits in a different way. This also makes sure she doesn't have the idea of trying anything down the line," said Kana.
"Then why didn't he do that to me?" I asked.
"It seems it has to do something with her personality, it's troublesome. So he wants to make sure that she won't try something."
"I don't know if I should take it as a compliment or an insult."
"Why would it be an insult?"
"He basically thinks I won't try anything to disrupt his plans and just follow his orders."
"Well it's more like you would only do something when you're sure you would be able to do it. She would try to do something even if she can't and he wants to nip the problem in the bud before she gets out of hand."
"But would that make me more dangerous?"
"Yes but it's not like you don't know he gots people watching over you to make sure you don't do anything."
"Yeah, I guess but why is he trying to break her spirit and not mine?"
"Hey come on, you know he would be trying to break your spirit if he knew he could."
"Maybe, but he didn't even try."
"He problem thinks you won't break no matter what."
"It still wouldn't have hurt him to try."
"Are we really talking about this right now?" Asked Shiranui.
"Not helping," said Kana.
"Fine, I'm sure he will try to break your spirit after you try to do something then fail."
"Do you really think that?" I asked.
"Of course, he would, after all, what better time than when you think you're going to succeed only to be stopped to break your spirit," said Kana.
Yes, you're right, there's no better time to break someone than when they fail. I've even used that strategy sometimes, I'm sure he would do it then."
"Well, good luck in all that I guess," said Shiranui.
"I'm sure you will fail spectacularly," said Kana.
"Yes, thank you for that …. wait a minute.
