Pov. Qin Shi's
As I feel four arrows approach me through a different space I use my bootleg white beard move. I smash my fist into space causing cracks to spread throughout the arena, breaking all four arrows. Laini quickly approached me while maneuvering through the cracks like the agile dark elf she is. Pulling her bow again causing four arrows to appear again. But this time two were made of ice and the other two were made of fire.
As she released them I didn't move since I knew she wasn't aiming at me and as I predicted the arrows collided with each other near me. Since both the fire arrow and ice arrow collided it caused a smokescreen to form around me. As she entered the smoke she fired four ice arrows at me and quickly made a crystal arrow to stealthily shoot me with it.
'It seems it's a lot harder to detect them if she only fires one arrow at a time.'
I ignored the ice arrow and punched the space to my left side as the four ice arrows stopped in front of me. Suddenly Laini appears from my right side with a dagger and strikes at my neck, dodging her attack so I send a punch to the face. But she blocks it with her left hand and goes flying back a couple of feet. As I see her land on her feet her left hand is shaking a bit so she stands in a way where she had her right hand facing me and her left hand behind her to try and hide it.
'Color me surprised, she actually uses her head to fight.'
"At least she's using her head," said Lucy.
'What's that supposed to mean?'
"Why did you even dodge that attack if you had infinity? You could have finished this fight right away while she was surprised from her body stopping, allowing you to hit her with a stronger attack."
'True but this way I don't just give her misinformation but everyone else in this arena as well that have any funny ideas about me.'
"Do you really think someone here may betray you?"
'I would be foolish to believe I will have 100% of all the people under me loyalty and even if I did there may be situations where they are forced or tricked into giving others information about me and my fighting style. And if they believe the information to be true they would create a plan around that false information.'
"Well aren't you a clever girl, but sometimes I think you're way too paranoid. I mean not only do you have infinity you even have some pretty powerful regeneration ability so it would be hard to one shot you even if they know about your powers."
'True but it's not impossible so I would rather be paranoid than dead.'
As I'm talking to Lucy Laini has been slowly approaching me while circling around me. I just stay where I am just facing forwards like I'm ignoring her movements.
"You know I could have killed you with that punch, all I had to do was punch the space in front of me. If you were lucky then you would have gotten away with your arm ripped off," I said to her.
"Well, you should have because you just gave me an idea."
She created two crystal arrows before shooting them at me as they collided in front of me. The collision caused some kind of shock wave that bypassed infinity, it did kind of hurt my internal organs but it wasn't a big deal.
"You know I didn't think you would do this well," I say as I spit some blood out of my mouth.
That got her mad because she sped up and started shooting arrows all over the place. All the arrows landed around me as well as on infinity. Suddenly they exploded causing another smokescreen.
"Why do they always think this is a good idea against someone that's blindfolded?"
She again shoots four crystal arrows at me but it's about time for me to finish this. So again I break space and I start moving for the first time. As I exited the smokescreen she started shooting fire arrows at me but none of them hit me. As I got closer she pulled out her dagger and attacked me so I used my strings to stop her hand mid swing surprising her. Going up to her I punch her in the face like a certain unlike guy with a loli. Knocking her out, causing the audience to cheer. Walking up to her I put her over my shoulder and started walking out of the arena.
"Well there you have it folks, the winner is Qin Shi Huang!" Said Oboro on the big screen.
"So what are you going to do with her?" Asked Lucy.
'Well her power is incredibly useful for troubling opponents.'
"So is she going to be one of your women?"
'Don't know, but I won't force her if she doesn't want to but that troubling personality has to change. Though it's not something someone can just change if they want to, we'll have to see. After all, I can't see the future.'
Pov. Ingrid
"So is that his way of breaking someone's spirit?" I asked.
"Well that's the start of it, after all, you can't say your ways are one hundred percent effective," said Kana.
"She's not wrong you know, they couldn't break me. I've also seen people come back from what you do to them," said Shiranui.
'Even if I don't want to admit it, what they said it's true. There have been many instances where people we thought were broken betrayed us or caused some kind of self destructive accident that hurt Nomad in one way or another.'
"Well it's not like I liked the way they did things but it was something Edwin ordered," I said.
"Which says a lot about him," said Shiranui.
"But it's not like it was all under his orders," I said.
"True but if he really cared as the head of Nomad he could have stopped it. But he let it continue and even if I agree with you about that sometimes you have to do things you don't like for your goal. The fact that most of his operation runs on money from sex slaves, drugs, and black market dealers shows whatever he is planning is not going to be good."
"Sigh, I know lately I've been thinking that what we have been doing is hurting demons more than it helps them. But he's the only person that has actually been willing to help demons. Not the country, not Taimanin, and not this world."
"Well don't you think you just found someone else that is willing to help your people," says Kana As she looks at Qin.
Causing me to look at him and think about what he had been doing, how he doesn't discriminate against demons. He even makes sure that the territory he rules is peaceful and welcoming for all races.
"Maybe," I say with a whisper.
