Chapter 60 - Chapter 53

The participants were getting tense as the hashira present were getting skeptical about what was taking Kyoshi so long.

They tried asking Rin, but received the same answer that he'd be there soon. Over the moments that they waited, their minds began thinking of things that could be planned by Kyoshi.

After all, he was a demon under and directly connected to Muzan. He was powerful enough to push two hashira who awakened their DSM to their limit and his skill wasn't exaggerated in the slightest.

His influence over weaker demons and even the Kizuki could be way stronger than they previously thought. The idea of an army coming became more and more believable as time passed.

"Hey Shinobu, do you really think it's safe to sit here and wait?" Tengen asked as he glanced at the area around him.

He noticed the sound of the animals had gone quiet long ago and all of them knew it meant danger was close.

Shinobu didn't answer, but the smile on her face could barely be seen faltering as her eyebrows were slowly furrowing in confusion.

"Maybe we sh-"

"Ah, he's finally here."

Hearing the calm words escape Rin's mouth, they looked towards her and saw she was looking at the sky. They turned their attention to the clouds and saw something shining.

It was barreling down towards them at speeds which broke the sound barrier. As the things got closer and closer to the ground, they noticed that it wasn't a bird and in fact it was the demon they had been waiting on.

Diving towards the ground, Kyoshi opened his wings causing him to suddenly stop all motion before he gently touched the ground with his feet and his wings evaporated into red mist.

On his way here he robbed a random traveler of his gi pants who just so happen to be a wandering martial artist with his same size.

He was still shirtless as it was pointless since his wings would rip the shirt again, so he didn't take it. Kyoshi landed on the rock placed in the river and looked towards the hashira who were gathered on the other side.

"Sky traffic is unexpectedly busy. Talk about those hawks." He said scratching his head. What was really on his mind was how bad Muzan would yell at him if he wore the suite Muzan was about to give him.

"…I see." Shinobu said as she hopped on the rocks to meet Kyoshi in the middle.

While she only met him once in person at the bar in Tokyo, she remembered his personality and how he seemingly took nothing seriously.

Well unless it was a fight.

"Those the hashira?" He asked as he waved towards them while peeking over Shinobu's shoulder.

She looked back and pointed at them.

"Giyu Tomioka and Tengen Uzui. The Water and Sound Hashira." She said.

"Can we go to one side of the river? This is very impractical for a meeting." Kyoshi asked.

Shinobu, slightly stunned, nodded her head and without waiting Kyoshi jumped to their side.

"Rin, get over here so you can introduce yourself." Kyoshi said, looking over at her with a smiling.

The way she was acting made it seem like she was a servant of sorts, so the smile was to get them to see that he was friendly with those under him.

"This is my student; Rin." Kyoshi said as Rin stood by his side.

They shook hands and on Shinobu's cue they began the meeting.

"So then, let's get down to it. This meeting was called as a way to communicate between Demon Slayer and Demons in a peaceful fashion. Both sides agreed to come with those already here and with no ulterior motives."

Kyoshi nodded his words to what Shinobu said as she continued.

"At this meeting we both agreed to speak about two topics. The terms and the idea you, Kyoshi, presented to me at Tokyo and I about my serum and if we'd agree to your idea. Let's begin."

"Alright. First off, I'll assume the three of you had to go through something extremely traumatic caused by demons right?" He asked.

The three stayed silent, but was clear he was touching a sensitive spot.

"Over the years, decades, centuries and millennium that Demons and Demon Slayers have clashed there's been no improvement. Still people die, still Demon Slayers are getting killed, snd still Demons are eating humans as a source if nutrition.

This was all brought about by one person. My grandfather and the progenitor of demons, Muzan Kibutsuji. Over the years he's done some pretty despicable things according to past Demon Slayers.

And to make up for all of that he's come up with a solution to atone for all of the things he's done. A place for demons and after a while, humans, that could coexist.

He plans to make a utopia so both demons and humans don't have to constantly fight. So that humans don't have to be consumed in constant fear that they'll randomly disappear.

Now, there's obviously one clear problem and question that's on you all's minds. How can this possibly happen when demons need humans to survive?

It's quite simple actually. There's a demon with the name of Tamayo. From what we know, she's a skilled doctor and by some chance has developed the ability to survive by only the blood of humans.

We got this information from demons who've passed along information since it seems they were initially on the run and let slip some of their eating habit secrets."

In the middle of Kyoshi explaining Muzan's idea to the Demon Slayers, Shinobu raised her hand causing Kyoshi to pause to listen to her.

"This lady named Tamayo; what if this was just het Demon Blood Art? What'll you do then? This whole meeting would have been for nothing, right?"

Kyoshi softly chuckled before answering.

"Well yes, it would be useless, but that's not possible. Demon Blood Arts allow you to do things with your blood for unnatural powers. It can't mess with your biology on a cellular level like that.

Along with that, her abilities are based on illusions made with her blood, she can't have two. Our plan was to recruit her and have her share her knowledge about how she directly changed our biology."

Shinobu nodded her head, but suddenly snapped her fingers as she seemed to realize something.

"The things in this meeting are only things talked about with us and even if we agree to them we'll have to take this up with the leader. He makes the ultimate decision."

"I see. So basically this is being kept a secret from the head of the DSC?"

"Well, technically yes, but if we can get enough of the hashira on our side I'm sure we can get the outcome you're searching for."

"Well that's fine considering the fact this is still in the 'talking phase.' Other than that, so far what do you think? Is it possible to call a truce for a while till we have Tamayo?" Kyoshi asked.

"If this is all the details you have now, then it's acceptable. Later on, we'll need to know the location, how you plan to obtain that land and most importantly…if we can get more hashira to accept it."

"That's acceptable. Im assuming they don't have any problem with it either?" Kyoshi asked, gesturing towards Giyu and Tengen.

"Personally, I don't, but I have my own question for you." Tengen said.

"Go ahead."

"My pupil, Seikichi, have you seen him? He's not flamboyant at all and really bland." Tengen asked as he described Seikichi's plain style.

"No, why?"

"Because he's ran off looking for you, leaving behind a lot of important things. It's only natural that I ask you about him." Tengen replied flapping his bangs aside.

"…oh…okay. On another note, your serum. What's up with that?" Kyoshi asked as he looked at Shinobu.

"Well then…"
