The little girl's sudden appearance made Anna and Harold stunned. Especially after hearing the little girl addressing Angie as 'Mommy'.
They look at each other with a hidden flash in their eyes as if they knew what was in each other's minds before looking back at the little girl with a twinkle in their eyes that no one would ever understand.
"Didn't I tell you not to listen to adult's discussions? Go back to your room." Angie coldly said while her serious face cannot hide her sharp but fierce eyes.
Her voice and expression cannot hide that she was a strict and disciplined person and made Anna and Harold glances at each other before looking back at the little girl who seemed frightened as she ran back to her room.
Angie looked back at Anna and retaliated with a calm voice but serious expression. "As you can see, I have a daughter. I'm a single mom with a child to raise."
"Besides, I need to work to help with my family's daily expenses." She added.
Before Angie could continue, Anna shortly spoke with a smile on her lips. "That won't be a problem. If you will agree, we can make a contract."
"I will give you a monthly salary, but you will still need to follow me and live with me in our country. Your daughter can also visit anytime you want and I'll handle all expenses." Anna reinforced while her smile deepened.
"Your offer is good, but as a stranger whom I just met, why would you think that I would agree to your terms?" Angie asked while lifting one of her brows as she crossed her arms. She could see a conspiracy hidden in Anna's twinkling eyes.
"It is exactly because of that which is why you need a better job and a good salary. My offer will be perfect for your needs." Anna argued before she halted.
As if thinking it wasn't enough, Anna added with assurance, "Besides, you won't be with me as a maid or something. As I said, you'll act as my sister."
"As I said, I'm a single mom. Do you think that I will leave my daughter?" Angie asserted while her sharp eyes gazed straight at Anna.
Anna knew Angie wanted to refuse, but this didn't stop her from insisting. "Being my sister is just to accompany me anytime I need you because my cousin can't go with me anytime."
"You can still have a normal life. You can do what you want while you are getting paid. It's just that you'll be living with me away from here and I'll be staying in this country for a couple of months, so you can try what I mean then decide whether you'll agree to come with me." Anna carefully clarified.
Although Anna's offer was very tempting, Angie didn't want to trust the two strangers right away even if they saved her beloved little sister and owe them a favor. Hence, it was a long discussion until she finally gave it a shot.
Angie began to accompany Anna and Harold for a couple of months, while they insisted for her to get paid for the times she stayed with them.
Their residence was near the beach and owns a couple of apartments which Anna and Harold decided to rent, so it would be more convenient for Angie to stay with her family.
Thus, aside from being accompanied by Angie through their trip, Anna and Harold also spend time with their family. Especially with her daughter, which seems they were very fond of. They keep on giving everything the little girl wanted and keep on pampering her like their own niece.
After those months of spending time together, Anna and Harold understood Angie's personality. She never pretended to be someone else and confidently showed who she truly was.
Since Anna wanted to be her sister, Angie did not hesitate to treat her as her own younger sister. Although they had not signed any contract, she slowly became fond of Anna who sometimes acted sweet and childish like her little sister.
However, Angie's personality made both cousins slowly feel afraid of her. She was very strict and disciplined, scary when mad while there were punishments for their mistakes which were unimaginable.
Despite their fear towards Angie after being with her for a few months and understanding her real personality, they discovered that she was also a sweet, loving, and caring person who spoiled them both. Hence, Anna and Harold did not regret their decisions.
Not long after they easily get to know each other and believed that the two didn't have any malicious objective, accompanied by her mother's encouragement, Angie finally agreed to discuss the contract with Anna.
What surprised Angie was for Anna and Harold to take her to their country using a private plane. When they arrived, Angie was immediately introduced to Anna's family, but she was shocked when they wished for her to marry Anna's older brother.
