"Oh you know me?" Kayla asked in a surprised tone. "Yeah. Cherry always talks about you plus you're the prettiest girl in our class." "That's not true." "But for me it is." Daniel said while poking lightly on Kayla's cheeks. "Uhhh thank you?" Kayla doubtfully replied. "No biggie. Cherry you didn't get any sort of punishment, did you?" Daniel asked in a serious tone. "Not a big one but I still got one day detention." "Oh okay that's not serious but what about that other girl sorry I mean that witch?" "Danny it's my first time seeing you talk bad about someone." "I know and it's also my first time to see you about to throw hands at someone especially a girl." "Yeah but she totally deserved it and she was about to get expelled but Kayla didn't want her life to get ruined so instead that witch just have to clean the toilet for the rest of the year." "Really? But why did you do that Kayla? I mean that witch doesn't even have a future in anything except prostitution business." "Danny chill. You're getting scarier with every passing second." "Well it's not my fault for stating the truth." "Girl no wonder you're my best friend." Kayla just stood there admiring their friendship while wondering where Parker and Cosmos were.
"Anyways Kayla-" "Kayla!" Cherry was in middle of her sentence when Kayla's sister came rushing. "Cassie? What are you doing here? Don't you have to go to college?" "I don't have any classes right now so I came rushing here when I got a text from Cosmos about everything that happened here. Where the hell is that bitch?" "Cassie don't do this here." "Why? I know that bitch ain't just getting away when she called you that kind of stuffs." Jane entered the scene with her parents when Cassie slapped her hardly. Kayla had to literally pull Cassie away before she could do anything else where else Daniel and Cherry were cheering for her and asking her to punch her. "Cassie stop!" "No! Today either she is going to die or I am going to kill her. There's no other option." Jane was crying at this point and her parents didn't even try to meddle between Cassie and Jane. "What on earth is going here?" Principle Brown boomed which made Cassie stop for a while. "Cassie Smith Williams? Is that you?" "Yes Principal Brown. How are you?" Principal Brown let out a smile and began. "I'm well. I thought you went to College? What are you doing here?" "I came here to protect my little sister from this damned witch." "Oh! Kayla's your sister?" "Yes sir" "Well then you need not have to waste your time because Miss Cherry Parkinson here did a good job in that." Cassie turned to face Cherry and thanked her. "Well Cassie you can go now as Jane has got her share of punishment according to Kayla." "Did she get expelled Mr. Brown?" "We originally planned on doing that but Kayla didn't want us to, so she will clean the toilet for the rest of the year." "The hell? Kayla why don't you just expell her? It's not like she has a future in anything except prostitution." "I said that same thing." Danny said in a chill voice. "Cassie language." "Sorry Mr. Brown." "It's so unfair. Why are you taking her side when she just hit me?" Jane angrily began. "Because unlike you these students have good behavior and attitude. You little piece of shit. I wish you had just died. You are just like your mom. You don't know when to stop!" Jane's dad yelled which made her stop. "And let's not forget that you jeopardized Kayla's image here. So it's all your fault Miss Jane." Principal Brown added. "Your Principal's right. Now get your ass in the car! Right now!" Jane headed to her class to get her stuffs while her dad kept on apologizing for his daughter's behavior. "I'm really sorry Kayla dear. I don't know what went wrong in her upbringing. Here take this money and buy yourself something nice. And this is not a bribe to let Jane's behavior off the hook. This is a token of apology for causing you all the harm." Before Kayla could reject it Jane's dad put the bills of money in her palm and quickly left. "Now that everything is settled how about some coffee Cassie? I haven't met you since graduation. I want to know what you have been up to. After all you were my most favorite student." "Sure Principal Brown I would love that." "And the three of you can head back to your classes." Principal Brown said to Kayla, Danny and Cherry.
The three of them left and just when Kayla entered the class she saw Jane standing upright in the middle of the class. She was crying and when Kayla went to see what the problem was, she saw that Jane's bag was ripped apart and all her makeup supplies were broken into small pieces. "Who the hell did it?" Jane yelled. "Me." Cosmos replied calmly. "What?" Jane didn't know what to do at that point. "I said it was me. Has your comprehension level gone down or something? It didn't look that way when you were talking shit about K's mom." "WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH EVERYBODY! WHY ARE YOU ALL TAKING HER SIDE!" Jane yelled at the top of her voice. "Because you're trash and even your dad confirmed that." Cherry said while smirking. Then she threw Jane's bag, what was left of it, on the floor and then stomped on it while cleaning the floor. "What are you doing? That is an expensive bag!" "Not anymore. Learn to take care of your trash." Daniel said while throwing the bag at her face. Jane was helpless at this point and Kayla couldn't watch it anymore so she got a plastic bag and put Jane's belongings in it. Jane wanted to yell at her but seeing how Kayla was trying to help her she stayed silent. Kayla passed Jane the plastic bag and she softly murmured a thanks to Kayla. "Jane was about to leave when Daniel caught hold of her. "Nah this won't do. Beg for forgiveness. Right this moment." Jane wanted to leave but Cherry and the rest didn't let go of her, so Jane had no option but to get down on her knees with her short skirt but before she could do that Kayla stopped her. "You don't have to do it. I already forgave you." "Really?" Jane asked with tears in her eyes. "Yes. If I hadn't then I would've let my sister and my friends beat you up. You have your reasons and I don't want to know about it. Just make sure to never repeat it again." Kayla guided her to the door when she noticed Principal Brown, Cassie and Jane's dad looking at her. Jane's dad thanked Kayla and quickly left with Jane while Cassie and Principal Brown looked at her with admiration.
Kayla was quietly sitting in her place during recess when Parker approached her with snacks. "Yo! K baby you fine?" "Yeah." "You're telling the truth. That's a first." "I know." "Anyways eat this and tell me about your dreams." "My dreams as in?" "The dream you had last night. Or you could talk about your future dream life." "I didn't dream about anything last night." "Then tell me about your dream life." "I'm not sure." "You are. Just tell me." "I want to live all by myself in a small apartment and enjoy my own company. I want to become a psychologist and then that's it." "Woah. Where's me in that dream of yours?" "You'll be there as my friend and supporter I guess." "No I mean what about kids and husband? Don't you see me as your partner?" "Till now, whenever I dream about my life, I only see me being in it. No kids or partner." "Okay. How about we make a promise right here?" "What sort of?" "If ever you see me as a major part of your future life, then you'll tell me and that's when I will know that you want us to be together." "But what if I don't?" "Then I'll be the parallel line that will walk with you but, will never be able to intersect."
