"Guys?" Jane paused on her way and looked at the two of them sincerely. "Yeah?" Parker replied with a smile. "I don't think Kayla reached likes me and I don't want to come between your friendship so I thought that I shouldn't hang out with you anymore." "Jane. Don't worry about that. Kayla will accept you in a blink of eye. Just you wait." Cosmos comforted her. "Well I don't really blame her you know." "And why's that?" Parker curiously asked. "Well it isn't her fault that she was raised so badly. Her dad stabbed her mom and after that incident she has been relying on her relatives. And did I forget to mention that her mom once became a prostitute like I don't think I can even guarantee if Kayla herself isn't sullied. Well can't blame her. A messed up family will definitely produce a defective human. I-" "Hey! Just because we let you hang out with us, do you think you can say whatever about our friend."
"What?" Jane was dumbfounded at Cosmos's words. "You're lucky you're not a guy. If you were one I would've broke that jaw of yours for speaking such filthy things about K." Parker warned her. "But all of it is true. She told me herself." "So? Which family doesn't have problems? And if she did tell you those things herself I'm pretty sure she didn't want you to spread the word. You're such a bad person. I hope I never see let alone meet someone like you again." Cosmos defended his friend. "I can see that you can talk bad about people so I'm guessing you can walk home by yourself too." Parker coldly said. "But it's late and dark." Parker and Cosmos stared hard at the girl's nerve to act like this after spilling someone's secret. Jane finally walked away after sometime and left Parker and Cosmos alone.
"Wow. K was right all this time. That girl sure is nasty." Cosmos began. "I know right." "Oh right. Last night you went to Kayla's house and you also took my first aid kit. What happened there?" "I kept on knocking on her window but there was no response at all. At first I thought she was sleeping but her curtains were still open and so was her window. I got inside to find Kayla's wrist covered in blood. Thank God the cuts weren't that deep. If it had been severe then I wouldn't have known what to do." "Awwww...You cared for me. That's so cute." Kayla stood up from her hiding spot and went towards them. "K? What were doing there?" Cosmos questioned her. "I was eavesdropping on you guys and Jane's conversation and I gotta admit, it was pretty impressive. I liked it." Kayla smiled at them and then left for her home.
Back at home, she was sneaking inside the house when she noticed that a person was laying in the front lawn. Kayla already knew who it was so she just ignored it and went to sleep. The next day school was off which meant that nobody would be at home but her. She took that opportunity and started smoking inside her bedroom. She was almost about to finish the second pack when she heard a faint knock on her window. She opened the window and went back to doing her own business. "Yo K! You're in a dear need of a ventilation. Like how can you even breathe in here?" Cosmos started complaining. "Will you shut up already? You're always complaining." "That's because I care for you." "Yeah yeah whatever. And where's Parks? Don't tell me he fell down while climbing up." "Nah he isn't with me. But I did call him so he might be on his way." "Oh okay. You want anything to drink?" "Yeah." "Wait here. I'll go get something for you."
Kayla quickly prepared some snacks and juice and took it up her room to find that Parker had also reached. "Hey! You got here on time." "I know right. How could I ever miss your snacks." Parker replied with a sweet smile. "K?" "Yeah?" "I like you." "I know. Who doesn't?" Kayla replied to Parker with a sly smirk. Parker just laughed it off while Cosmos choked on his juice. "Mos you gotta chill out like what's the rush?" Kayla asked while gently rubbing Cosmos's back. After several hours of chatting the three of them started bidding farewell to each other. "Bye K! See you tomorrow." Cosmos said with a hug. "Bye Mos." "Bye K! I like you." "Parks, you gotta stop saying these kind of stuffs." With that they left. Kayla was about to sleep when her uncle and her aunt came inside the room. "You're sleeping again?" Her uncle began. "The house is such a mess. Why don't you just stay at home and do the chores?" Her aunt added. "You're the fucking one who's never at home. Don't you feel ashamed when you say that?" Kayla screamed internally. "Is this your house? If you're going to be like this then do it at your house. All you do is sleep and roam. You never do anything here." "What happened?" Kayla's dad entered the scene. "Look at your daughter. She doesn't do anything at all. And are you drunk?" "This girl is useless. She takes after her mother." Her dad changed the topic and blamed her instead, even though he clearly saw her cleaning the house. Kayla listened to this same thing being repeated over for a hour until they finally left. Kayla stood there numb and betrayed.
Kayla was about to take out the blade again when someone knocked on her window. She turned to face Cosmos looking at her. Kayla opened the window and led him inside. "K. You fine?" "Yeah." "It's okay I guess. Actually no. It's not okay and it's totally fine. I'll be here so you can cry it out." "Nah I'm fine." "You're anything but fine so don't pretend to act your tough. You've been through alot and it's okay to cry sometimes. It doesn't mean you're weak." Cosmos gently hugged her while Kayla bawled her eyes out. "Let it all out."
