"What?" Kayla asked while trying to grab anything that could be used as a weapon and when she finally found that one thing she swung it on Parker's face first and she was this close to hitting Cosmos with it too but he had quick reflexes so he was able to escape. "Damn girl. We were just kidding. You sure are a fiesty one." Cosmos said while placing the umbrella far from her. "She sure is" Parker replied with a red face. "Well it's your fault that you make such bad jokes." Kayla was dumbfounded.
" Here you go Parks." Cosmos passed an ice pack to Parker so it would stop the swelling where else Kayla sat quietly in a corner. "Hey K!" Kayla looked up. "You want something to drink?" Cosmos asked her, to which Kayla shook her head as a reply. "Oh sorry but I don't speak head language so you got to speak up." "um...no" Kayla replied in a whisper. "That's way too soft but I will excuse you just this once cause you beat up this bastard for me." Cosmos said while winking at her. Kayla stood up to leave but Parker caught her and made her sit beside him. "You know you should inform the host if you are leaving." Parker said while leaning close to her which made her blush furiously. "You're really cute." Parker said while smirking and pulling her cheeks. "Can I leave?" Kayla asked Cosmos. "Sure. We could drop you." Kayla couldn't say anything to them so she just let them do what they wanted.
They walked her to her home and left after both of them hugged her which made her feel more awkward. Kayla went inside the house to find no one so she quickly went to her room, locked it and started on the novel that she was writing but she couldn't focus as she kept on getting distracted by the thought that they might talk to her in class. "No. They won't do that. Definitely. If they cared about their social status which I assume they definitely do cause who doesn't?" Kayla thought to herself and breathed a sigh of relief.
The weekend was over and she was back to school. Kayla was taking out her books from her locker when she saw Cosmos and Parker walking towards her so she mentally prepared herself for a conversation but just as she got ready they walked pass her so she just froze on the spot blaming herself for being such an idiot, to think that they of all people would talk to her. Kayla bit her lip and acted like she was searching for something in her locker to prevent from overthinking too much. She was about to leave when she felt a slight weight on both of her shoulders, she turned sideways to see Cosmos and Parker leaning on both of her shoulders smiling crazily. "Damn. You're cold." Cosmos said in a hurt tone. "Right? She didn't even bother to wave let alone say hi after hitting me with an umbrella." Parker joined his friend. "Can you please lift your heads? My shoulders are starting to hurt." Both of them did what she told them and waited for her to get her books. "Ah one more thing." Parker said while leaning closer to Kayla who was still facing her locker. He took off her hood and then patted her head gently, " Don't wear that hood. It just covers your pretty face." Kayla couldn't help but blush at those words but she kept her silence and closed her locker door and quickly left. "Hey! We're in the same class! Where are you running off to?" Cosmos yelled after her.
The whole day the two of them kept on sticking with Kayla and didn't leave her alone for even a second. Kayla would always have a tired face plastered on her face whenever she was with them but deep down inside she liked it.
After school, Kayla had just returned from the washroom when she noticed that her bag was missing and so were all her stuffs, she started panicking thinking that Cosmos and Parker's fans had took them when just at that time someone shook her bag Infront of her. "Hello? We were waiting for you." Parker said while giving a handsome grin. Kayla took her bag from him and left him. Parker walked behind her while Cosmos waved at her from the school gate so Kayla really didn't have any choice but to walk home with them.
They bid farewell by hugging and Kayla entered her home afterwards. As usual no one was in the house so she started preparing their evening meal and after she was finished with it, she left for her room and stayed in there the whole time. Kayla was fidgeting with her phone when she saw that people were wishing happy birthday to a girl in her class and she was pretty much jealous because even though her friends were in the same class she didn't receive a single wish from anyone. She didn't like it and she started crying, wishing and wishing that she could become just like that girl.
The next day, Kayla's eyes were swollen due to all the crying but she didn't have any other option but to attend the classes. She was infront of her locker when someone pulled on her hood, Kayla turned back to see who it was to find Parker and Cosmos who looking at her concernedly after checking her face. "K are you okay? What happened to your eyes? Did you cry?" Cosmos worriedly asked which made Kayla want to cry even more but she didn't, she shouldn't. "I'm fine." Kayla shrugged them off and left for her class.
