Chapter 22 - Season of Taste: Is it that easy to say sorry....

Gladys was waiting for a bus at a bus stop. Suddenly a car stopped in front of her. Then the car's windows slowly opened.

" Gladys! "

Gladys turned and saw Ardan who was driving the car.

" Good grief! Why is this guy coming again?" Gladys grumbled in her little heart because she didn't want at all to meet a man who behaved as cute as a stump lizard." What are you doing here again? Aren't you content to hurt me by having an affair with my best friend?"

Ardan pulled the car over and he got out of his car. He approached Gladys who was standing at a bus stop.

"What else do you want here? Do you want to hurt me again? I'm tired of you!" Gladys suppressed every word with emptiness. She was very reluctant to have anything to do with a man like a stump lizard like Ardan.

"I can explain it to you! That I actually have nothing to do with Nadia! "

"What nonsense do you want to say to me! Everything is fake! I don't need your crappy talk for me! You and I are done since yesterday!" Gladys suppressed every word she said. In fact she looked really mean. She looked away from Ardan. She didn't want to be associated with a man who had hurt her even had an affair with Nadia.

"I can explain it to you! What you see is not what you think!" Ardan tried to make a defense. He tried to grab Gladys' hand but was unfortunately pushed away.

"Explanation?" Gladys struggled to catch her breath. She smiled wryly as if he was mocking a little. "I don't need an explanation but what I saw is what I really believe! Why am I listening to an explanation that contains your defense of your affair with Nadia. Never mind! You better forget about me because I don't want it at all to get back together with a man who can't be held back at all!" She looked very lazy to see Ardan trying to make a defense, but one word could never melt her heart.

Then Gladys saw a bus coming. She rushed into the bus immediately because he was very reluctant to argue with Ardan. She doesn't want a relationship it's back for. Because for her something that has been tarnished will never return to the way it was.

Gladys tried to control her feelings. She is trying to forget a past. In fact, she tries to make peace with her past even though the past always gives a delayed wound.

Ardan looks very frustrated when he gets a rejection.

The clock shows 8 o'clock in the evening. Then Brahma got ready to go home immediately. He had already completed some of his work in a restaurant kitchen as a dishwasher. He found it very easy because today it would only be paid off with the wages given by the restaurant owner even though the amount was not as much as when he worked in a company.

Brahma felt all his bones and muscles sore. He wanted to go home immediately. But he really wanted to give a gift for his wife at home who was waiting for him.

"I'll stop by the supermarket first to buy something." Brahma immediately went to the locker to get some of his things. He immediately changed clothes.

"Cheer up!" exclaimed one of his co-workers. "You have to keep your spirits up when you work here. Because finding a job nowadays is really difficult. Unless there's someone inside, we can work in a better place."

"I can only be grateful, Bro! ' replied Brahma looking at his co-workers.

"Then I will go back first, Brahma. Because I have an appointment with someone. Don't forget tomorrow we have to be enthusiastic again to work. "

Then his co-worker immediately left the locker room. While Brahma was taking clothes to immediately go to the changing room. After he finished changing clothes. He immediately rushed home. He will stop by for a moment at a supermarket to buy some snacks.

"I will buy food for my wife. I hope she will like what I have given her." Brahma immediately stepped out of his work place.

Along the way, Gladys looked very annoyed with Ardan's insistence. She was very reluctant to listen to an explanation from an Ardan who was her ex-lover. She was tired of all the explanations that were considered stale food.

Gladys stared out her bus window. She saw that Ardan was still following her. But she doesn't seem to care at all about what Ardan is doing. She will never forgive the man forever because a relationship that has been betrayed will never be possible to return to its fullness. She didn't want things to happen again when she forgave and gave her a second chance.

"I will never give a chance to a man who has betrayed me." Gladys mumbled in her small heart then she closed her eyes while remembering some pieces of the past. She still remembers how Ardan and Nadia had an affair. her heart ached quite a bit when she saw the incident in an apartment.

Gladys tried to control her breathing. In fact, she would never forgive a man who had betrayed her.

The affair between Ardan and Nadia made Gladys quite devastated. The feeling of love and trust seemed to be destroyed instantly for someone who was considered the best figure in his life. But the two of them had been playing with fire in front of Gladys.

"I've been trying to maintain my relationship with you. Even I have tried to believe every word you have said to me. But everything looks very clear. It's all full of falsehoods." Gladys mumbled in her small heart with a sense of congested and irritated feeling as she recalled the events of a few months ago." Is it that easy for an apology to be said with a fatal error?" asked her heart.

Gladys started to raise her head to hold back the tears that would fall through her eyes. She felt that a past was enough to slap him deeply. "If I had a choice, I'd probably prefer to never know him in my life. Why did the two men I thought of as someone who mattered, but in reality they had betrayed me?" asked his heart.

Gladys tries to come to terms with her past. She didn't want to be stuck in a painful nostalgia for love. She tried to put her heart back which was already fragile and cracked. "Oh my God, I just want to be happy." She hoped in her little heart. During the bus ride to the nearest bus stop where he lived.
