Don't worry if some names don't make sense. I'll be releasing the Sub Stories that come with it, in order to help you make sense of who these people are.
Over the course of a few days, almost all the portals in the Macaus Plains had been removed.
It was due to the combined teamwork of various Guild Parties. During these troubling times, multiple parties had undergone an "alliance". Just for the duration of the alien counterattacks, they would work together as if they were, well, allies.
It was currently not as noisy inside Fahndra. If people were to walk around the nearby streets, they would find that it was much quieter.
The only people who were in the city were the ones who didn't go outside to hunt the aliens. Comprising of mostly elderly people, disabled people, or people who had work. Odd, isn't it? They're making them work during an alien attack. You'd think that they'd at least give them a holiday.

"Hey, Laura. Do you perhaps know anything about the Karman Krew?"
"Oh, them? It's the newly formed party that is comprised of some siblings. I don't believe that they're all actually siblings, of course. There is clearly an elf with them."
"No need to worry about that. But my spies have been telling me that their work is, say, efficient than most."
"How so, Guild Master?"
"I've heard that they have cleared at least twenty or so portals. Although this may not match the Golden Lion party's thiry or the Silver Hawk's twenty-seven, it is still worthy of attention. And by a newly made team, nonetheless."
"I must agree with you. They have proven themselves formidabble for newbies."
"My intel also tells me that their leader appears to be the child they carry around with them."
"What!? The child? I merely thought he was there because his siblings brought him."
"Oh, you weren't there when that happened. Here's the short form of it. Brutus came by, and forgot to remove his aura, scaring all the guild members. Except for one. The baby did not seem to back down, and even managed to talk on even footing with the Veteran. Although he did speak broken sentences.."
"It can't be. A mere baby, standing up and strong enough to resist Brutus' aura...."
"Well, no matter. I just brought them up to show you their astonishing achievements. Any more and I might consider recommending them to the King himself."
"That's a great idea. It'd be like a debt that they had to pay. Smart."

Meanwhile, back in Fahndra.
A lone man was walking through the empty streets. Donning a wary, yet nervous expression.
Stumbling through the dark reaches of the night, the man would ever so occasionally mutter something.
Each droplet of sweat that slid off his clearly anxious expression only added to the mysteriousness of this individual.
With every so step he took, he would once again turn his head sideways and scan the surroundings. Flicking his head side to side did no good to his suspicious aura.
Eventually, the man reached a dead end. Once again he examined the area. No one nor anything moving had entered his vision, except for a few alley rats that scurried into their hiding spots whenever the man unknowingly approached too close.
"Thi-this should.. be the spot." Reaching into his pocket, the man dug through it for a fair amount of time. Finally seeming like he had found the thing he was looking for, the man hastily brought it out to reveal a metallic sphere. Separated by two parts, the man placed his hands on the top and bottom parts, respectively. Tightening his grip on the ball, he pulled the top part sideways, revealing a purplish glow inside.
Looking as if he was holding a bomb, the man hurriedly placed the ball on the floor and retreated a considerable distance.
The resulting effect was quiet, at first. The purplish glow slowly began to spreas its color into the surroundings. Eventually the glow transformed into specks of purple dust that floated all around.
Suddenly, the purple dust looked as if it were being pulled into it's original location, which was inside the ball.
A vacuum soon came to existence, the pull seemingly not strong enough to pull the man into it's windy grasp. Only the dust was retreating to it.
Then, as if it was going to explode, the man retreated even farther. Taking cover behind some boxes, the man warily watched the constant pulling of the dust into the ball.
And not even a minute later, the dust had subsided. No more specks could be seen floating in the air.
What was left was the original purplish glow. Except the difference could clearly be felt.
The glow was slowly convulsing, along with it's constant shifting of size, the energy inside ready to burst.
Maybe the man was unaware of this, as he didn't take cover. Bt eventually, the shifting of size stopped. It maintained it's now bigger size, perhaps five times bigger than the small glow from earlier.
Then, the glow disappeared. Almost as if the phenomenon that happened earlier was for naught. Suddenly, in it's place, an explosion, loud enough to notify half the city about something out of the ordinary, ensued.
And right there, was a portal. Much larger than it's brethren, the portal threatened to swallow the entirety of Fahndra.
And from the portal, came them.
The Karman came out in groups. Multiple aircrafts appeared passing through the gigantic portal, and with it, carried more Karman.
It seemed like their numbers were infinite. The sheer volume of the attacks was enough to signal the whole of Fahndra, that today, would be one heck of a night.

"Mistral here. It's started."
"I told you to get out of the blast radius! Did you get hurt?"
"None of the sort. I do have something to report."
"And that is? If you're talking about the huge portal that appeared in the sky, it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say everyone in Fahndra knows."
"The source of the portal seems to be a small metallic ball. I'm positive that if I destroy it, the portal will close."
"Are you sure?"
"Well, kinda."
"Good enough. Keep safe, and come back home. We wouldn't want the son of a prestigious family to die alone, am I right? Gregory Meister."
