Chapter 10 - The Unspoken Hero of the Leaf

On the training grounds, a boy with red slightly long spiky red hair and a sharp v chin. He has fair skin, and he wears a black shirt and some white. Shorts. He has black eyes with a hint of brown.

He activated his Sharingan and there was one tomoe on it, nothing that different from the usual; the only difference was the red that was darker than most.

He's laid back peacefully, lost in his thoughts.

'Just like that a year had passed, Kakashi and I grew up but mostly in height, we're both the same height even though Kakashi is older than me by merely 2 months, we've also grown close with each other through our battles and spending time with each other, we learned a lot of ninjutsu hand signs from Sakumo-sama last year because this is the year we're supposed to unlock our chakra in two weeks.

Sakumo-sama said that even the Hokage wants to witness this event, but Sakumo-sama also wants us to start ninjutsu training before we enroll next year.

Kakashi and I are really excited, even though Kakashi is trying to hide it,

I've lived with him long enough to know the difference.

Konoha had been peaceful this year compared to last year.

Kushina and I got closer as the only Uzumaki in the village.

She even taught me some fuinjutsu skills and we would often hang out with her and her boyfriend, Minato Namikaze.

The only interesting thing I've heard this year is that Shisui Uchiha was born, the only descendant of Kagami Uchiha, he was Hokage-sama's teammate and Lord Seconds student.'

"Hey Ryuu, get up, dad is calling us, I just finished my training, so he said he'll meet us at home," He said.

"Sure thing, Kakashi." Ryuu got up.

"While we're on our way, do you wanna race?"

Ryuu asked with a smirk on his face.

'Recently I started catching up to Kakashi. I have to thank big sis Kushina and big bro Minato for that.

They took the responsibility of taking me on a hidden leaf tour.'

"Well, what do you say, bro? Unless you're too scared, I don't see another reason you won't accept," Ryuu said with a wicked smile as he was giving him a thumbs up.

"Hmph, you're on Ryuu." He sounded determined.

"Ready, Set, Go!!"

'That's when we took off and raced, even though I was ahead of Kakashi, I could tell that He was getting faster, but unfortunately for him, I was only holding my speed until we were near home.'

When they were close Ryuu went full speed leaving Kakashi behind.

When he reached home, he celebrated.

"Yes, of course, I won again!" He said with a smile as he entered.

"I'm Home!" Ryuu said.

"Ah Ryuu, I'm glad you're here now, welcome back, But where's Kakashi?"

Sakumo asked with a confused look.

"Oh, he's just trailing behind me. I left him in the dust when we were racing." Ryuu said proudly, with a smirk.

"Hey, you didn't leave me that far behind. Stop lying to Dad." He said in an annoyed tone.

"Hahaha!"

Sakumo laughed hard in the back, listening to them argue.

"You know you two remind me of Me and Hanzo, always fighting for no reason, but eventually we acknowledged each other as rivals and partners we fought together in many battles whether it's him who save my life or it's me who saves him, either way, while fighting together with Hanzo I knew I wouldn't fall easily, cause I had someone I could trust beside me.

During the 2nd shinobi war, Hanzo and I were a duo unlike anything else. If it wasn't for him, I would've died from those sand puppet users who helped me kill lady Chiyo's children.

But after the battle, he left because he wanted to be there for his son."

Sakumo said as he looked down.

Tears were rolling out of Ryuu's eyes as he remembered his father and mother.

"But now he's not here anymore, but I am, to take care and protect his memory, No, his legacy maintain it, I will take care and protect you Ryuu.

For you are the legacy of Hanzo Uchiha he may have not been hailed as a hero in Konoha like me because of his relations with the Uchiha but deep down whether they like it or not, every shinobi who were out there with us and survived knows of the hero he was."

After a while, Ryuu finally said something.

"Thank you, Dad," He said as he hugged Sakumo tightly.

The entire room was silent.

This was the first time Ryuu had called Sakumo Dad, even Kakashi was shocked but even so, he could only smile.

Sakumos' face was still shocked, but he could only return the hug to Ryuu.

He looked up at the sky and thought to himself.

'Hanzo, can you see this? Your son finally acknowledged me.'

A tear rolled down his eyes as he smiled.
