A week had passed since Sakumo Started training Ryuu and Kakashi, which meant today is the day Ryuu was called to go to the Uchiha compounds and look for Fugaku.
"'What perfect timing, today I'm going to see Fugaku-dono, and dad is leaving for a mission, right Kakashi?"
Kakashi wasn't as excited as him.
"Sure, I'll just stay at home then train, it's so amazing."
Ryuu laughed, recognizing that sarcastic tone Kakashi usually has.
"Oh, don't be like that, Kakashi. I'm only gone for 3 weeks. I'll be back before you know it, plus now you've got Ryuu, so you can't complain about being bored." Kakashi nodded when Sakumo spoke as he was preparing himself for the mission.
"Ryuu, get ready. We'll be gone in half an hour."
Ryuu nodded, then he went to his room.
While he was getting ready, he noticed the book that he took from his parents' room. 'I'll read it after I get back from Fugaku-dono's House today.'
Kakashi interrupted his thoughts as he asked.
"So when are you gonna tell me about that plain book we risked our lives to get?"
"I was just thinking about it right now.
I'm going to read it when I come back, we'll talk about it during that time."
Sigh
Kakashi sighed as he thought to himself.
'Today's going to be so boring and uneventful, I don't even want to train but I have to so I don't get left behind by Ryuu.'
30 minutes later, Sakumo and Ryuu were done preparing.
"Kakashi, I'll be back later, so don't have too much fun without me. I'm off."
Ryuu said as he smiled at him and waved.
We took off and on our way there; we halted.
"Why are we stopping, father?"
He remained silent for a while, like he was checking if there was someone nearby.
"Ryuu, no matter what you do, don't talk about what I told you a week ago."
Ryuu glared at him as he reminded him of what happened,
"We should get moving, we're close and I don't want to make Fugaku-dono wait for us, it's rude."
Sakumo looked at Ryuu and just sighed as he led him to the Uchiha District.
We reached the Uchiha compounds.
It was early in the morning when we reached, but some people were awake.
'Fugaku-dono's House was nearby, so I walked faster.'
"Knock knock knock,"
He opened the door and greeted us.
"Welcome to my home. It's a pleasure to have you here. Come in. I'm sure you haven't had the chance to have breakfast, so that's on me."
Ryuu nodded and entered, Sakumo left in a rush because he had a mission.
After he entered, he had made some tea, eggs, and toast for me
"The tea was amazing, and the eggs were wonderful. Fugaku-dono, how did you learn to cook this great?"
Ryuu asked politely.
He looked at Ryuu with a little smirk and said.
"When you do as many missions as me, you'll pick up a thing or two." Ryuu nodded and asked,
"So I was wondering why you called me here?"
He asked politely.
He looked at me curiously and said.
"I see you're someone who just wants to get to the chase.," Ryuu nodded.
'Much like his father.'
Fugaku thought to himself.
"Well then, I called you here to teach you a jutsu, well technically I just want to see if you'd be able to do it, from what I've heard from Sakumo you should be able to do this jutsu, although I doubt you could I also trust Sakumo's judgment."
Ryuu nodded in agreement.
"Let's get going. I'll lead you to the Uchiha lake. That's where we will practice this jutsu."
They stood up and left.
'Just as I was about to exit, I saw he was wearing a chain that looked like the one my father had given me. I dismissed my suspicions and said that it must be a common chain in the Uchiha.'
They reached the Uchiha lake; he took Ryuu to the bank of the lake.
"Ryuu, this jutsu is the key jutsu of our clan. Watch closely."
Ryuu nodded and opened his Sharingan to learn it.
"Fire-style fireball jutsu!"
A large fireball came from his mouth.
"Wow, that looks so amazing, let me try it."
Fugaku nodded and stepped away to give Ryuu some space.
Ryuu did the hand signs. Fugaku's eyes widened, and he was impressed by how fast Ryuu's hand signs were.
'Even the talented Uchiha's aren't as fluid in doing hand signs.'
But what he didn't know was Ryuu saw this move when Lord third was sparring with his shadow clones.
'I've been practicing hand signs, since then my fluidity in ninjutsu is much better and faster.'
"Fire style Fireball jutsu!" I blew out a larger fireball from my mouth and I evaporated a large part of the lake water.
Fugaku's eyes widened, and his jaw dropped.
Seeing Ryuu complete it with such ease and even more impressed by the size of it.
"Fugaku-dono, this jutsu is pretty easy.
Could you teach me another one?" He was amazed, and he looked at Ryuu and just shook his head in disbelief at what he had just said.
"Your talent and potential have no equal. I will teach you this jutsu." Ryuu smiled a little.
'I still don't understand, why would Fugaku-dono stand against the clan when banishing my father? Am I missing something?'
Fugaku noticed Ryuu's strange behavior and went to him.
"What is it Ryuu? You don't seem excited to be learning a new fire release jutsu.
It's clear to me that something is bothering you.
I've noticed it since we left the house."
"But how could you even tell?"
"You just look like Hanzo when something is bothering you, that's all."
Ryuu's eyes widened.
'It surprised me to hear my father's name, but I had to pretend I didn't know that he knew my father.'
"What? How do you know my father?"
He smiled and said,
"Even when you lie, you look just like him."
Ryuu put his head down in embarrassment.
"I'm guessing Sakumo told you about the secret and told you not to mention it and that's why you didn't even bother telling him goodbye."
Ryuu frowned and nodded.
"I-I know about when you tried to stand up for dad, but I don't know why you did it and why you risked everything for him and why you have the same chain, he gave me." Fugaku looked at Ryuu and said,
"Since you know this much, I suppose telling you the rest won't do any harm.
The fact is that your father, Hanzo Uchiha, was my elder brother."
"What did you just say?"
"Hanzo is my elder brother, which means you're my nephew Ryuu."
'I couldn't believe it. I felt both anger and joy in knowing that I have an uncle and knowing who it is.'
"Why did you keep this a secret? And where were you when they died?"
Sakumo had the same expression on his face, but I knew it saddened him to hear this question.
"When Hanzo became an Outcast, he told me it's better that we don't see each other again because the clan would see it as suspicious and would be against me when I wanted to become clan leader, Hanzo never wanted to become the leader of the clan so he helped me achieve this dream after I became clan leader the first thing I thought of doing was bringing my brother back.
But he rejected my offer and said that it would make life for you difficult cause the Uchiha would treat you like an Outcast. 2 weeks later I heard he was attacked and you were the only one that lived."
Ryuu frowned upon hearing this news.
'So all this is… my fault?'
