Namjoon's POV
So there we were standing in front of her room staring at each other. I was merely waiting for an answer from her as I just couldn't stand the tension between us anymore. I want her back in my life, in fact I need her back in my life. Close to me to be exact.
Zee let out a big sigh and folded her arms around her chest. She looked at me before walking away. I grabbed her arm, stopping her in her tracks. She looked at me with pleading eyes.
I let go of her arm and asked, "When?"
She froze for a while before heading for the staircase. She did it again, leaving me alone in the passageway. At this point, I didn't know what else I could do. I sat on the floor leaning my head against the wall with my eyes closed. Trying to prevent any tears from developing.
"It's best we forget about everything that happened between us and move on. In fact let's rather start over as friends," she said, sitting across from me.
"That's impossible to do, even for you," I said in response to her.
"I know it is, but for the sake of everyone involved, we are going to have to try. There's a competition at stake and we need to work together as a team in order to win it."
I looked at her, taking everything she's saying into consideration. I had to admit that she was right. The only way for us to work together is to start over as friends.
"I'm sorry," I said.
She looked at me and tilted her head to the side.
"I'm sorry for trying to push you into telling Jake about the whole Jennie thing. I should have known that whatever decision you make is in the best interest of your colleagues. I didn't mean to undermine you or hurt your feelings," I concluded.
"It's okay, you were looking from a protective perspective. I guess I would have reacted the same way if it were me," she said with a smile. A smile I sure have missed seeing on her.
"Come on, let's go join the others downstairs. It doesn't help isolating yourself from everyone," she stated.
"Okay, on one condition though," I said, getting up from the floor, "Please call me Namjoon, RM is my stage name and you sound so serious when you call me by it."
"Sure, no problem...RM," she said with a giggle.
She's such a tease I tell you. One of the reasons why I fell for her.
Zee's POV
Namjoon and I soon joined the rest of the gang downstairs where a beer pong tournament was currently underway. I didn't need to even ask who was winning as according to the empty glasses, BTS was being creamed. I opted to rather sit out of this one and watch them play - also I suck at this game. I was not willing to face the wrath of Tracie should I make the team lose.
I must say, I felt a bit more at ease after my chat with Namjoon. As much as I wanted to embrace him and have him close to me again, I could not risk crossing that line again. I must admit though; I did somehow develop feelings for him. And it's not because of his status, it was because of who he was away from the cameras and off stage. Caring, protective, humble and a bit conservative. Unfortunately, I wasn't prepared to cross that line again.
I would rather suffer in silence than stir up trouble.
