Chapter 4 - Chapter 4

Valente and Suni were now standing in front of a man. The man, who Valente had just called Casper. He had an aura that made Suni shiver by its presence and he was scary looking which made it worse. The man had long brown hair tied up in a bun, he was all bulky and strong-looking. His beard and tall figure made him look even more intimidating.

The omega gulped, her feet frozen in her place. A pure-blooded alpha.

"What do you want?" Valente asked, glaring right at his brother, Casper.

"Well, for starters, if you could hand over the sweet-looking omega, right there--?"

"NO FUCKING WAY!" He yelled at his brother and pulled the omega closer by her arm.

"And the map you have." The brown head completed his words after getting interrupted.

"No," Valente uttered, shielding the girl beside him by coming in front of her. "No, I am not giving you the map which I found, and neither her."

"What will you achieve from the treasure, little brother? It is not meant for you."

"It doesn't matter, I found the map! I will find the treasure too!!"

"The whole rouge team would be after you." His brother tried to negotiate.

"I will defeat them all!" He let out, confidently.

"God! You're not gonna listen, are you?" Casper sighed, cracking his knuckles. "Let me take her and the map by force then."

He was about to shoot his magic at Valente who was ready to fight.

"Stay behind me, omega," Valente ordered Suni, leaving her arm.

Suni watched as Casper created Brown shiny knives rapidly and threw them at Valente. That made her worry. Why was Valente even fighting him? He should've just given up knowing he had no chance to win against a true blood. That is what she thought.

"Tch. Lame start." Valente whispered to himself but didn't even think to underestimate his brother. He knew better than to underestimate him.

As the knives came, it was easy for the redhead to just click his fingers and burn the knives with his red flames. But he knew something was coming next. His eyes roamed around following his brother's speed who was running around in circles. He instantly knew what was next, Casper was coming for Suni. What he didn't expect was another attack of the brown knife but this time it was aimed at Suni. He grabbed her and yanked her to the side with him. However, his arm got grazed by the knife, cutting the sleeve of his shrug.

"You've got nice reflexes, Valente," Casper praised.

Valente ignored the statement and attacked him. Red flames and mist shot out of his hands right at Casper. Casper obstructed the attack was making a wall out of his brown glittery magic. He was about to throw an offensive attack when the voice stopped him.

"STOP, CASPER!" A voice yelled.

A black man with blonde hair came into their view. "I've got the map, he dropped it from his pocket, here, no need to fight now." He said indifferently.

"WHAT THE FUCK!? GIVE IT BACK!" Valente snarled and threw explosions at them which they dodged with difficulties.

"We still need HER though," Casper said before they turned into wolves and ran away.

Valente heard it. He heard what his brother said. 'We still need her though.' He looked at Suni suspiciously. Why would they need her? Is she hiding something from me?! "He thought" and breathed out angrily.

"Y-Your arm is bleeding," Suni said worriedly, quickly tearing off a small part of her long skirt.

She came closer to him to wrap it on his arm but she was slammed to the nearby tree by Valente. She flinched from the impact.

"Are you hiding something from me, omega!?" He growled asking, in his wolf voice, coming closer and lifting her chin up with his hand.

Suni's scared eyes filled with tears as she was forced to speak and tell the truth. She hated when someone used their wolf voice on her because many people did, to make her work, bully her, sometimes even telling her to slap herself which she was compelled to do.

"No." She whimpered, tears slipping out of her eyes.

Valente's eyes softened, and he found guiltiness eating him straight away.

"I'm sorry." He said softly, losing the tight grip on her hand.

"I-It's okay" She whispered sadly, immediately looking down when he left her chin. Her gaze fell on his arm. "You're st-still hurt."

He looked down on his arm, "Yeah! That bastard's knife cut takes a fucking long time to heal-" he cut himself off as he watched Suni tying the torn part of her skirt on his bicep. He felt butterflies dancing around in his stomach.

Valente shook his head. It was serious right now, they took his map. Just to confirm, he checked his pocket once again.

His eyes widened. "Wait- What!?" He looked at the treasure map in his pocket. He took it out and fumbled it open.

"O-oh! I dropped my map instead of yours, so they-they'd think-" Suni was soon cut off by Valente as he threw his arms around her.

"Thank fucking you! I thought I lost it!" He exclaimed as he hugged her tightly.

Suni was squished in his arms, wide-eyed for a moment until she finally melted in his warm and comfortable embrace. She reddened when he tangled his hand in her hair, giving her head rubs. Her cheek was squished against his bare chest.

"I am sorry for using my wolf voice on you."

"It's o-okay."

"Shut the hell up, if you don't know how to lie." He tittered.

Suni slightly pouted.

"God, you're so tiny! Perfectly fitting in my arms." He smirked.

"I-I am taller than my brother's wife!" She blurted out, embarrassed.

He laughed. "Where did your brother's wife come from in our talk."

"I am just telling you…" She said quietly, "I am not tiny. You're tall."

"Oh really?"

"Uh-huh," She nodded against his chest, her cheek rubbing on it. "Like a…" she thought for two seconds before saying, "…Giraffe."

"That's a lame joke." He deadpanned.

"B-but it wasn't a joke."

"So you're calling me a giraffe!?"

She slightly nodded her head, unsure.

"Hahh!!!??" Valente pulled out of the hug. "I am not even that tall, just six feet one inch. I cannot accept being called a giraffe!" He shouted dramatically, making her giggle.

"You're so tall you can reach the top of the castle." She said, smiling cutely.

Valente chuckled. "Still lame."

"But I saw you laugh."

"Yeah! Because of a cute dumbass making dumb jokes about me being perfectly tall." He said, laughing. "That's quite funny."
