"Thanks for the ride Frank."
"Sure thing star! See you next weekend!"
The brunette woman stepped out of the cab and gave the driver a mini salute before walking towards the house.
"I'm home!" She called out at the door as she slipped off her stilettos.
A brown haired woman in a silky Victorian night gown walked into the hallway and folded her arms disapprovingly. "When are going to stop these shenanigans honey. I was worried sick about you when you didn't come home last night."
"Don't worry mom I was just a little too tipsy to find my way home. But I'm fine." The brunette responded. She gave her mother a kiss on the cheek and headed up the stairs.
"You smell like a bar! Don't you have to be at the office in an hour?"
"I have a whole hour?! That's way more than enough time."
The brown haired woman, Mrs Brookes, sighed as she watched her daughter walk up the stairs to her room. This life of weekend parties and drinking was really starting to worry her.
The brunette slipped off her dirty clothes and took a quick hot shower. She prowled through her drawer and threw on a pair of black office pants, a red silky office shirt and a matching pair of red bottoms. To finish the look, she tied her curly brown hair in a ban and wore a bright red lipstick.
Ayaka Brookes was a tall beautiful woman in her early twenties, who had curly brown hair, brown eyes and a beautiful hourglass figure.
Her exotic looks were so captivating that very few men could pass her by without giving her a second glance.
Ayaka was the eldest child of Mr and Mrs Brookes, her mother was a middle aged Afro-American woman who ran a catering company, and her father, David Brookes, was an English man who ran a multinational transport and logistics company, where Ayaka had been groomed so that one day she could take over. Ayaka also had a little brother, Sekani Brookes, who was only ten.
The brunette grabbed her purse and walked down the hall to the master bedroom. She knocked and peeked into the room where her father was placing some documents into his bag.
"Morning dad."
Mr Brookes, a rough looking tall man with a thick beard and a fade, looked up at his daughter and smiled. "Morning princess. I didn't hear you come in last night."
"I actually just got in this morning. Had some err technical difficulties." She responded sheepishly.
"I see." The man walked to the door and nodded at the girl. "Well then, we better get going."

'Brookes Transport and logistics' was the leading company in their field and Aya's father took pride in maintaining that position.
Ever since she was a little girl, her father strategically groomed her in such a way that she'd one day take over and head the company. Ayaka of course didn't mind this, after all, she was guaranteed a stable career and enough money to support her and Sekani for a very long time. Despite being good at her job, it did take a tow on her mentally, so to refresh, Ayaka had a whole different life on weekends.
From Friday to Sunday, she was known as star, a crazed loose canon who didn't miss any big party in town, specifically the ones hosted by top artists. She would spend the weekends drinking, dancing and hooking up with rich musicians, which came easily to her considering she was drop dead gorgeous.
Star wasn't a groupie for the money or the fame, she was in it just for the fun, the thrill and the release. As crazy as it sounded, that part of her life is what kept her sane.
"Good morning Sir. Madam." A red haired woman greeted Ayaka and her father.
"Good morning Ms James. Good weekend?"
"Yes sir, thank you." The receptionist responded. "Your meeting is set to start in the next hour."
"Meeting?" Aya questioned her father
"Ah yes. We have new potential clients and they're not greedy with their coins if you know what I mean." The man responded with a wink.
"But weren't you supposed to meet Kingsley today to finalize that deal we spoke about?"
"I'm sure you can cover for me princess. Besides, aren't you and him friends?"
"Barely." Ayaka scoffed as she watched her father walk towards his office.
Greg Kingsley was CEO of Kingsley logistics and the most annoying human being who ever walked the earth. After his father passed, he took over the company and became an even bigger nuisance. He was arrogant and pompous and to top it all off, he'd been trying to get into Aya's pants for far too long. She absolutely loathed him.
"Shall I call Mr Kingsley to set up a meeting with him?"
Aya sighed in defeat. "He's going to turn this meeting into a date isn't he?"
Alicia chucked and nodded. "Most likely."
Alicia James was the secretary at Brookes logistics and one of the few friends Aya had. They'd known each other since high school and Aya had managed to get her dad to give her friend a position in the company. She was one of the few reasons why Aya hadn't lost her mind at her job.
"Give him a call and let me know what he says."
Aya walked into her office and sat down at her desk, eyeing the paperwork that was already waiting for her. If she could, she'd ditch this job and become a certified gold digger. Aya chuckled at the thought and began sorting out the files.
Suddenly her phone buzzed and Aya took it out to see who was calling her.
Incoming call: Rayan
Aya sighed and picked up the phone. "What?"
"Star baby. What happened to you? One minute we were having an amazing night, the next minute I wake up and you're gone."
Rayan was a rock artist Aya had hooked up with at a rave the previous weekend. He had spoiled her with expensive alcohol, food and luxury hotels the entire weekend. On Saturday evening Ayaka payed him back for his generosity with some mind blowing sex. She guessed it was a little too mind blowing because he'd been blowing up her phone like crazy.
"I had things I needed to do." Aya responded bluntly.
"Okay but when can I see you again? We could go out for dinner or I could treat you to a nice vacation. I miss you star."
Aya chuckled. "I'm sorry Rayan but I don't play like that. We had a great time, had drinks and hooked up, that's it. Now you need to forget about me."
"Come on star don't be like that."
"Bye." Aya cut the call and blocked his number. She had one rule when it came to her weekend shenanigans, never fuck the same guy twice. Men had this crazy notion that once they get you in bed they own you somehow, and to Aya that was a load of BS.
She had no intention of belonging to any man, all she needed was a guy who could get her drinks and give her an orgasm on the weekend and that's it. Non of that sentimental stuff.
The ringing of the work phone on her desk snapped her back to reality.
"Alicia?"
"Kingsley said he'll meet you for lunch at the location I'm about to send you."
Aya looked at her phone and sighed. Leave it to Kingsley to take advantage of any meeting with Aya and turn it into a date. Why the hell did he feel the need to book out a five star restaurant for a business meeting?
"I'll let the driver know to be out front by 1:30."
"Thanks Alicia. Wish me luck."
Aya placed the phone back on the receiver and walked to the large window that showed the city below. She looked down at the bar across the street from their building and nodded to herself
"I'm definitely going to need a shot for this one."
