While Mike was with his stuff, the three brothers, far away in the small town on the edge of New York, were also preparing their own money-making schemes.
It wasn't hard for them to make money, but the key was not to break the law.
After some discussion, they have come up with an interesting idea.
Tomorrow, during the day, they have been preparing for a day to go to New York to make money together.
Because of the incident at their school, the whole school had to take an early summer break, but the students from other schools were still in school, and their targets were the high school students who were there, or to be precise, the high school students from a private school.
It was Eric who had been busy all day, and it was Charles who would be busy tomorrow.
Early the next morning, the three of them drove to New York with two backpacks and arrived at their destination, St. Patrick's School.
The next thing they did was to deliver something at the school gate after school.
The gifts were small ornaments that Eric had used his ability to make out of scrap metal, not expensive but very beautiful, the kind of metal ornaments that catch the eye of girls and make them scream 'kawaii'.
Of course, Charles made some tweaks so they had to play a game with him, called 'Guess Your Love Mind'.
This is just the beginning, but the next part is the main event, the 'payment' part.
Once the game has been guessed, most people will be curious enough to pursue it, and then it's time for Charles to use his experience to his advantage.
He will make effective suggestions based on the client's personality and charge a fee for each one.
In addition to this, they also have a more advanced service, which is to help customers who have a crush on someone else, or who want to chase someone else, to 'guess' what they are after.
For example, what they like and what they hate. ...
The age of love is the age when the mouth is easily overwhelmed by love. These high school students who are in the noble school and do not lack money at all are willing to spend money in order to chase their favorite person and to please their lover.
At first, those who played the game were only interested in trying out Charles' services, but later on, the demand for his services exceeded the supply.
In just three days, the trio had earned enough money for their trip, and a lot of it. ...
With enough money, the trio went to a restaurant that night to celebrate.
"Ha ha! We did it, it was so easy!"
Charles grinned in triumph.
Eric said ingratiatingly, "You're the man to beat this time, Charles!"
"Hey, hey!"
Charles laughed and said, "You've done a great job with the ornaments, without them people wouldn't have come."
"All thanks to you!"
"No, no, it's all your doing."
Looking at the two who are going at it again, Clark fell silent and tapped on the table.
The two men fell silent, raised their juices in silence and said to Clark, "It's Big Brother's doing!"
Clark nodded in satisfaction, grinned and said, "Let's eat, then find a hotel to stay in and head straight out of New York tomorrow!"
They had locked the house when they left this morning.
"For those who chase love!"
"For our trip!"
"To this collaboration!"
"Cheers!"
The three of them cheered, and their glasses clinked together with bright smiles.
...
"What? You've already left for your trip?"
Lying on a beach chair, Mike exclaimed in surprise as he listened to the laughter of the three boys on the phone, and then said with a stony face, "How did the money come about?"
"Ugh!" Charles sighed and said, "I was too clever."
Eric laughed and said, "We earned it the right way."
Mike murmured and said, "Clark?"
Clark coughed lightly and said, "Yes."
"Oh?" Curious, Mike said, "How did you earn it?"
"I'll tell you!" Eric grabbed the phone and told Mike the whole story.
After a few seconds of silence, Mike said, "You'll be able to feed me from now on."
With that, he sighed and hung up the phone, but the corners of his mouth lifted.
These three children had always taken him by surprise.
But it really wasn't that bad.
With a cheerful smile, Mike slid his sunglasses over his face, took a sip of his drink and strode slowly forward on the soft sand.
Coulson returned to S.H.I.E.L.D. the next day.
With no one else in the way, Mike was finally ready to make his mark.
There was the ocean in front of him, full of mermaids.
...
A month and a half later
After a month and a half, Mike returned home and after two days at home, the three brothers returned home too.
It wasn't long before Clark went off to college and Mike wanted to give Clark a lesson in fighting while he was at it.
Clark is physically tough, so he only needs to be fast and punch hard enough to solve problems, but when he encounters an opponent of the same level, he can be overpowered if he doesn't have much skill.
So, Mike decided to give Clark a fighting lesson.
When they found out about Mike's plans, Charles and Eric were interested in joining him.
But a day later, they were hit by a blow from Clark.
Clark's learning speed was horrendous, everything was instantly learned and everything was mastered after just one look.
The next day there was nothing left for Mike to teach.
Mike was devastated by this, and he was really in despair with Clark's learning ability.
However, he had a new way to increase Clark's combat experience.
Kickboxing.
New York is a big city, with dojos and gyms of all sizes.
If you wanted to, you could always find a suitable 'sparring partner'.
So, from the moment Mike made his decision, New York City had a fearsome kickboxer on its hands.
Half a month later, Clark finished his studies, packed his bags and finally left home for college.
Although he repeatedly said he didn't need a ride from Mike, Mike dropped him off at school and then returned to New York after two days in Boston with Charles.
It was time for Eric and Charles to start school.
The days became routine again, except for the fact that there was no one else in the house and Charles and Eric were getting older and the house was getting quieter.
As time passed and Charles and Eric went off to university to complete their studies, Mike was left alone in the house.
(A/N: 'Sigh' poor Mike~)
