Chapter 18 - Chapter 17

I got to my room and sighed before turning on the light. It was then I realized I'd be having another long day.

When I turned on my light I first noticed something in my bed. After a while I figured out it was Jake. I knew he'd be dong something like this from our little chat from this morning.

But I wouldn't tolerate it. He's been waiting in my room for god knows how long and now was sleeping in my bed.

I was really tired but couldn't sleep with him in here. But there was nowhere else to go.

I sighed again and slowly walked over to the side Jake was sleeping on.

I knelled by the bedside and looked at Jake's sleeping face and how innocent he seemed in that moment.

I thought about how worried he must have been because of how things were. Behind his tough, jokester act he really only worried. It was sweet in a way.

He really did care.

I grabbed some clothes and went to my bathroom to change. I made sure not to be loud and wake him up.

I was getting soft on him.

When I got out Jake was still asleep.

I walked back over to him and took in his face. I didn't realize this before but he's actually pretty cute. He was only cuter asleep though.

Then my realization actually came to me.

He was asleep on my bed! Why couldn't he just fall asleep on the floor or in my chair? And if I'm not mistaken this is the second time he's slept in my bed only this time I wasn't with him.

I was too tired to get angry about this. I walked to my chair and sat in it staring at Jake. I would yell at him tomorrow. For now I needed to sleep. I had school tomorrow. And even then I had to explain things to Drew. If he would even listen to me.

Everything was chaos. So much was just happening. I would brake soon enough. I just wanted to be alone sometime soon. But for now I would fix everything. Then I could relax.

Without it occurring to me I fell asleep in that chair while deep in thought.

Not long after I felt something warm wrap around me. It was soft and comforting.

I kept my eyes closed too tired to worry what as happening.

Then I felt myself being lifted and carried soon landing on what felt like my bed. It was then I opened my eyes.

I opened them slowly with the thought my light was still on and saw Jake above me smiling. I was too tired to react or do anything and just laid there, eyes half open.

Jake looked down on me and I expected him to kiss me and force me to do things I wouldn't originally want to do. Instead he just lightly kissed my forehead and then got out and walked to my door.

"Goodnight Samantha," he whispered as he turned off the lights and then quietly left my room.

I was left alone shocked but too exhausted to do anything. Instead of going insane in my head at what happened I fell asleep dreaming it all over again.
