Jenna really didn't want to go, but it was as she herself said, that if Blake asked her to, then she would. And now Blake had asked, despite thousands of excuses for the man to change his mind, but to no avail.
He always said it was for Jenna's happiness.
Which goodness does he mean? How could there be a favor if Jenna didn't even want the crowd to agree with the decision? Wasn't there a chance for him to determine whether it was good for him or not?
Maybe that was one of the reasons he had in mind. Another reason, and the main one was because Jenna had betrayed behind his back.
Think of this as a punishment, even if it ends up being a punishment for himself as well. Because Blake couldn't do it without Jenna. He was trying to calm himself and organize his heart. That's why he asked Jenna to come back to Ryan.
