Chapter 5 - My World~Part 2

She walked towards a tree where a beautiful Lily bush was growing, she picked up one of the flowers walked back to him, and handed him the Lily. He accepted it smiling warmly.

"A beautiful garden couldn't grow out of such an evil world without being tended to, could it?" she smiled and sighed.

"Besides, what's the difference between your world and mine on the outside everyone sees me and my family as the perfect family, but behind all those smiles all there is, is hatred, pain, and rivalry. Our worlds aren't so different they're just portrayed in different ways", she said and looked back at him and gave a twisted smile, the wind blew and she tucked her hair back in place, his hazel eyes sparkled as he ruffled his jet black hair and looked back at her and sighed.

He'd never thought of that but now he couldn't ask her to be part of his world, he knew she was in pain but she kept it bottled up inside. He took her in his arms and hugged her, right now all he wanted to do was to feel her warmth and comfort her.

"Lui Feng", she said and he hummed softly. "I need to go back home, settle everything, and find a way to repay your kindness", she said softly not to anger him but he didn't let go of her. He didn't want to.

"Let me imprint on you then", he said his tone quiet. She gave him a questioning look not understanding a word he said and it was at that moment he realized he had to let go, let her do what she wanted even though that wasn't what he wanted.

He'd ask Aiguo to keep an eye on her 24/7 to make sure she wasn't getting into trouble and try to keep away from her for a few days so that she could do her own thing. At least till he was able to find the confidence and strength to tell her the truth. The fact that it could go wrong terrified him.

"I said there's no need to repay me, just do your best and don't let anyone hurt you, promise me that", he said in a sing-song tune. This time around he couldn't hide his emotions in his expressions.

"Okay I promise I'll also make sure to repay you no matter what you say even if it's not materialistic", replied Ying Yue, and they just stood there like that for a while. It was quiet but it wasn't awkward it actually felt comfortable...

That night he took her back to the city, but she insisted on staying with her best friend Yu Yan, instead of one of the Lui Family's hotels. He sensed no malicious intent coming from the woman so he left knowing she was in safe hands.

When he got back home his demeanor was cold and it seemed like the whole Lui mansion was empty, he thought that if she ever came back he would be able to protect her and watch her from the side, but that was not the case. Words could not describe how he wanted her to be his again, how much he wanted her by his side.

He got to the room and lay on the bed, her intoxicating scent was still there, it was faint but it was there. Sleeping here was now going to become torturous.

He remembered how he took her to an amusement park in the afternoon before she left and how she dragged him to all the rides, how she smiled, and how happy she looked. It pleased him greatly that she could be herself and happy around him. He was lost in his thoughts when a knock was heard on the door and Aiguo walked in.

"Alpha Lui Feng I got all you asked for", Aiguo said handing him a file Lui Feng groaned and got up and collected the file giving Aiguo a childish look, stunning the man for a second. Was this really their Alpha?

"Jiang Ying Yue's file. You can leave now", he replied lazily. Aiguo bowed and left. Lui Feng scanned through the file she happened to be a talented painter since she won an art competition, she also opened a restaurant which was now run by the Jiangs but was thankfully still under her name. Her birth mother died a couple of years ago, and three ex-boyfriends.

Her Mom also willed a house to her which was also in the hands of her so-called family members, she also studied business and she was twenty-one.

He smirked the Jiangs had taken so much from her and he was going to help her get it all back bit by bit.

Ying Yue had decided to start her life back up a life without the Jiangs, a life where she could breathe. She decided to try opening another restaurant with the little money she saved up. One that would be bigger and better than the one the Jiangs had taken away from her.

Oh, how badly she wanted to get revenge on the Jiangs but they were all she had her only family left in the world, she couldn't possibly hurt them but she wasn't going to let them hurt her, never again she promised Lui Feng. She got out of bed and got ready for the day her agent was going to be showing her buildings she could rent to start up her restaurant.

She walked lazily towards the bathroom and after an hour she was ready, she was crashing at her best friend Yu Yan's place but she was out for the day so she was alone at home. It was something she was used to though, she was rarely taken out to formal parties by her family unless she was requested for, so loneliness wasn't new to her.

But why did she feel like she wanted someone with her, by her side right now? What was she thinking? She had work to do, she immediately took her bag and left the apartment.

On getting outside she breathed in the busy street air and walked towards a coffee shop where her agent was patiently waiting for her. She went in and sat down.

"You're late. You're never late, is everything okay?", he asked examining her, her skin was glowing more than usual.

"Perfect, shall we?" She stood up and gestured him towards the door and they left together they made small talk on their way there. She looked at quite a few buildings but none felt right for her.

A few hours passed and she finally stopped at one building, it was on a busy street so she could easily get customers and the area was brimming with life and nature. It was quite tall but spacious, it also had a complex but intricate design. It was perfect and exactly what she wanted. Now all that was left was talking to the owner. Luckily he seemed to like her, he was an old man and he spoke with her like she was his granddaughter which warmed her heart.

A little while later they came to a conclusion on the restaurant and throughout the day she was dealing with calling furnishing companies and spreading the word about vacancies for workers. She was elated and proud of the effort she put in today.

She lay on the bed lost in thought, in a week she would get her building license, in two weeks she'd be done with the furnishings, and in three weeks she'd open her restaurant, her Mom would have been proud of her, tears welled up in her eyes.

Why was she suddenly thinking of her Mom? Though she only had a few memories of her Mom she knew she loved her more than anyone in the world, why did she have to leave so soon? She got up she went to the amusement park, Yu Yan wasn't home yet, so it was better than staying home alone.

She got to the park and nothing felt fun to go on so she sat on the bench waiting, she had no idea what she was waiting for though. She sat on the bench looking lost for almost half an hour.

"Looks like someone missed me", said Lui Feng with a big grin on his face, and when she looked up it took all the self-control in the world not to jump from her seat and hug him.

He took her hand he didn't think he'd see her for a while but when Aiguo called him and told him the Miss was sitting all alone and waiting for him how could he keep her waiting? Something seemed off about her though she was happy to see him that was for sure but something felt incomplete.

He took her to the Ferris wheel and she just stared at the moon that was just starting to come out it was almost crescent-like. That's when Lui Feng figured out what was wrong she was wrong she wasn't giving off the glow she usually gave off and she hadn't said a word.

He held her hand and squeezed it lightly what happened next shocked both of them she hugged him and started crying, his shirt was getting soaked but he didn't mind. He hugged her back tightly and when the ride stopped, they finally let go. Ying Yue rubbed off the tears in her eyes and they got off the ride.

They walked hand in hand around the park. None of them said a word.

"Lui Feng sorry about your shirt, it's just that... I have no one now to call my family and for some reason I... I feel abandoned... I really miss my mom", she said solemnly and tried to laugh and act as if it was okay but she didn't know when tears started falling from her eyes, Lui Feng tried to hug her but she avoided it.

"Why am I so weak? Crying for no reason, you can't keep being there for me or I'll get used to it", she said rubbing off her tears. But what she didn't know was that he wanted her to get used to it, to get used to him.

"Look at that star up there", he said pointing to a star and she saw a star shining brightly as if it was calling out to her. "I believe your mom is on that star", he said so sincerely and she almost thought he was saying the truth but that was impossible, right?

"July 4th, 2008, that's when she died and when this star was born", said Lui Feng, and at that moment she believed her mom was up there. she waved to the star and it shone brighter.

"Mom... ", she cried.

That night he took her back to Yu Yan's place and went back to the Lui pack mansion where his men had been waiting patiently for him. A threat was issued at him, a threat about coming for Ying Yue and he didn't take threats lightly his eyes blazed like fire as he walked towards the dungeon where the idiot who issued the threat was.

In their world threat letters were special, once someone issued one the person was bound to do as the letter said unless the person was dead and couldn't carry it out, but only the person who used his blood to sign it was bound not the writer.
