Mariana went back to her room falling back on her bed with frustration closing her eyes, Rosa began to roam around her as if searching for some unquestionable answers on her face," please get out of my face Rosa." Mariana said her eyes still shut, Rosa fell back on the bed so she was next to Mariana," so.... that's your boyfriend huh, he's really handsome quite charming indeed." Rosa gave a slight smile, Mariana tilted her head so she was looking at Rosa's face," Iven is not my boyfriend, he's my childhood best friend, he just says that either to piss my brother off or to protect me from preying men." Mariana smiled," he must really care about you." Rosa said," yeah, I guess he does." Mariana agreed going out of space as if thinking about something, Rosa snapped her two fingers at Mariana's face bring her back to reality," Mariana on Earth." Mariana snapped out of her daze coming back to earth, the two of them sat in their room and talked for the rest of the day till sun set and Dawn came, Rosa decided to go to the library to grab a book she always reads before going to sleep, she was careful making sure the guards that patrols in the night making sure all students are in their rooms wouldn't see her, walking in the dark corners a spider fell on her shoulder and she screamed out in fear, the last thing she saw was a blur image coming her way and she felt a strong hand pull her waist while the other hand covered her mouth," Shh, quiet do not scream." the man told her, Rosa nodded her head staring at the man, she didn't recognize him nor know him, he had gray mesmerizing eyes, slightly red lips and smooth brown hair, Rosa was dazed by his beauty and couldn't help gazing at him, she immediately knew what he was, Max slowly removed his hand away from her mouth. the guards rushed towards where they heard the noise came from but couldn't see anyone there so they went to patrol from the other side, Rosa was a bit uncomfortable by Max' closeness, his body was placed against hers she could feel his warm minty breath caressing her face, they were in a compromising position and she was really uncomfortable, no man has ever gotten this close to her infact many tried but she never let them, but this boy standing in front her was different, she didn't push him away infact she kind of liked it," was it because he was a vampire? she thought to herself but again she doubted it, Max stared at the little woman in front of him, she was gorgeous and had clear light brown eyes, she looked innocent and pure he didn't know why but suddenly his hold around her waist tightened a little as if he didn't want to let her go, Rosa jolted looking at him confusingly," uhm they're gone now, y... you can let go." she said in a flat tone but Max didn't let go in fact he was not planning on letting go any time soon instead he pulled her even closer to him her soft chest pressing on his hard sexy chest, Rosa's eyes widened slightly placing her palms on his chest," Ahh what are you doing? Max said looking back at her, Rosa looked up to meet his gaze the two of them stared at one another for a while before she moved and hurried away, Max watched her leave before he too went back to his dorm, Rosa reached the hall leading to her dorm and was glad, she quickly ran entering the room and shut the door closed leaning on it and sighed a breath of relief closing her eyes," and where have you been?" Mariana asked looking at Rosa's pale face, Rosa jolted looking back at Mariana, she slowly left the door and went falling on the bed," I was going to the library and a spider jumped on me, I screamed and the guards heard me but a vampire pulled me and we hid from the guards, or else I would have been in trouble." Rosa explained," a vampire huh?" Mariana raised a suspicious brow, Rosa remembered Max' gorgeous charming cheeks and her face flushed a bright red," well it's getting really late, we should sleep now, good night." Rosa said switching off her bed light, she didn't even change into her night gown because she was avoiding more questions from Mariana, I mean what will she even say. Mariana didn't ask or pressure her into answering more questions so she too went to bed.

the next day on a Saturday morning, Rosa wore a cute white shirt and a pitch short skirt with long white socks and black flat shoes, her hair was tied into a short ponytail, she looked so pretty and adorable, Mariana got out of the shower going through her clothes but found nothing interesting but dresses," I'm beginning to regret trusting mother packing my clothes." Mariana said in a flat voice," you are a princess, she needed you to dress like one that's all." Rosa said," I'm in college not a castle, plus I never fantasize dressing like one." Mariana said calmly and came across a black short tight and sexy dress, it smelt new and there was a white note stuck to it," enjoy your first year at college, sorry I couldn't see you off darling, your favorite Auntie, love you. Rosa and Mariana boarded a black sports car that was waiting for them outside and it drove off to the city, Rosa and Mariana jumped to one shop to the other trying on different clothes and shoes while having fun, when they were done shopping they put their shopping bags in the car and went to have lunch branch," I heard the King had twins, but I only see you, didn't he come here with you?" Rosa asked, she knew Mariana had a twin brother but she has never seen him before or his pictures on the internet or anywhere, it's like he doesn't exist or he must be a really private guy," well my brother is a really complicated guy that some times I don't understand him myself, plus my brother is the one you wanna talk about right?" Mariana said taking a sip of her cocktail," yeah you're right." Rosa gave a faint smile after branch Rosa dragged Mariana to a book store across the street," and what are we doing here?" Mariana asked," you're so funny, as you can see we are surrounded by book, so of course it's a book store, I'm looking for a certain book." Rosa said," well I'm not a big fan of books, I'll wait here." Mariana said pulling out a chair and sat down going through her phone," what do we have here, little princess." a young man smirked pulling out a chair to sit down, Mariana looked up and saw that charming face she didn't think she'll see any time soon," I have a name, and if that's your way of greeting some body, I'm fine thank you very much." Mariana rolled her eyes," such an attitude for a girl who ruined my jacket." Lucian said calmly," get over it." Mariana said, Lucian leaned back in his seat tapping his fingers on the table looking around," of all places you could be, you chose a book store, how surprising." he commented," I should be asking you what the heck you're doing here, are you following me?" Mariana raised a suspicious brow," something like that, I have a proposal for you." Lucian said calmly, Mariana creased her brows confusingly," and what's that?" she asked, Lucian studied her face for a while before he continued," go out with me tonight, on a date." he told her, Mariana blinked a few minutes as if she just heard him say he wants to take her on a date," a..a date?" she repeated the words unsure if she heard it right," I'll pick you up at nine O'CLOCK tonight." he told her standing up to leave,"I did not agree to show up, what makes you think I'll come?" Mariana said with narrowed eyes, a small smile made it's way on Lucians tempting lips," because I know you won't disappoint me." he said and left the store, Mariana was left speechless and annoyed," who does he think he is, wait and see.. you haven't met Mariana, if a girl has never said no to you, I'll be the first and last." in the back of the book store, Rosa was going through the bookshelf looking for the book but had no luck finding it, looking up she saw a familiar cover and knew it was it but it was too far for her reach, biting on her lower lip she stretched her hand standing on her toes trying to reach it but she lost balance and fell back," Ahh..." she braced herself for the pain to come while her eyes were shut closed but it never came, instead she landed into warm strong hands, a scent that felt so familiar surrounded her, Rosa opened her one eye trying to see the Angel who just saved her and was shocked to see the same guy who saved her from the guards in the halls, her eyes widened wondering what he was doing here," is he following her?" she thought," y... you! are you following me now?" Rosa asked suspiciously," is that your way of saying thank you?" Max asked instead," let go of me." Rosa commanded," sassy, but are you sure you want me to let go?" Max raised a brow knowing perfectly well that if he let's go she'll end up falling back," uhm no no, I mean put me up straight and step back." she said, Max did as she said but he didn't step back instead he blocked her between the bookshelf and him, his left hand holding her waist and leaned in so his face was closer to hers," w... what do you think you're doing?" Mariana stood up and headed for the door, Rosa followed behind, when they reached the school, Mariana and Rosa went straight to their dorm," did you find the book you were looking for?" she asked her settling on her bed," no, they did not have it." Rosa said," I just want to rest for the rest of the day." she added falling on her bed," are you okay? you're not acting like yourself, did anything happen in the bookstore?" Mariana asked, Rosa hesitated for a while before sitting up with her legs folded," well, remember that guy I talked to you about, the one who saved in the hallway?" "Yes I remember." Mariana nodded her head," well I saw him again in the bookstore, I don't know but whenever I'm around him I get all jumpy, not in a good way and I get nervous and shy, I want him to be closer but again I want him to stay far away from me, I don't know what to do Marie, I don't understand anything." Rosa face palmed her forehead," or maybe you like him, did you think of that?" Mariana spoke, Rosa looked up to her thinking of what she just said," is..is that possible?" Rosa asked which made Mariana chuckle," of course it's possible, just give him a chance and try to get to know him, he could be a great guy but I need to see this guy for myself, not all vampires are good you know and if he tries to do something stupid I'll make him regret ever crossing paths with you." Mariana said seriously, this warmed Rosa's heart, she was happy she found a great roommate and a good friend," well that's the problem Marie, I don't know how to find him, he finds me." Rosa said disappointedly," looks like we have a catfish under our noses, let's do this... describe him to me and I'll find him for you." Mariana offered," well.. he - .... before Rosa could tell Mariana what the boy looks like a call interrupted them," it's Iven, give me a minute." Mariana then answered the call," what's up?"

Mariana's eyes lit up taking a sit," I know how much you love your snacks and chocolate milkshake." Iven smiled," thank you." Mariana took a bite on the grapes," I haven't been seeing Max around lately ever since we got here, is he okay?" she asked looking worried," do I sense a sister's concern about her brother? that's a first." Iven nodded thoughtfully," tsk, I'm not, just trying to make sure he isn't up to something stupid." Mariana hid her concern," well you and I know Max is responsible and thinks before he does something, is perfectly fine he just went to the city to do some work, he'll be back." Iven assured her cupping her cheek," what about that proposal, will you be my girlfriend?"

Iven offered her his hand and led her to his dorm in his room," there is the bathroom there and clean towels, I'll get you some clean clothes."Mariana went to the bathroom and took off her dirty clothes turning on the shower, the warm water felt really good and relaxing on her body after a few minutes she got out of the shower wrapped in a small towel," is it just me or the water here hits differently?" Mariana asked drying her hair with a towel," if I was in your bathroom I would think the same." Mariana said staring at her watch, it was 5pm, she was still deciding whether to go on that date with Lucian or not, she thought about it so much that she didn't realize that she fell asleep during her thinking, it was already 8pm going to 9 O'clock when Mariana opened her eyes and Rosa was roaming around her face like a hungry little kitten waiting for it's owner to wake up so she can be fed," what do you think you're doing?" Mariana asked in a sleepy tone," you're been asleep for four hours almost five, do vampires sleep this long?" Rosa asked curiously," vampires rarely plus I'm half human I need my rest." she told her," that explains it, by the way Lucian past by which is weird, he only said hope you will show up, are you guys going somewhere?" Rosa leaned on the bed board getting into her reading, Mariana went outside for some air, there was a forest behind the school but it was a restricted area, students were not allowed to go down there, Mariana looked back to see if someone was around before going into the dark cold woods, she leapt from tree to tree while the cold wind washed all over her face, a smile made it's way on her face, she really missed this. after running around exploring the big forest she took a halt to take in the view when her ears picked out a sound as if someone was following her, Mariana pretended not to hear a thing and continued leaping from tree to tree when she was sure she lost the person she hid behind a big thick tree trying to see the person following her, after a while she saw a tall figure standing just a few inches away, she could not see his face because of the darkness that surrounded him, Mariana clutched her hands into tight balls and leapt towards the man strundling him down," who are you? and why are you following me?" Mariana asked," I will tell you if you let me go princess." the man said, Mariana recognized who's voice it was, she slowly let go of him and stook a step back, Lucian stood up dusting of some dirt on his clothes," I see you can be strong if you want to, princess."

Lucian cursed gathering her in his arms and leapt back to the school, Rosa checked her phone, it was 11pm going to midnight and Mariana was still not back," how much more fresh air do you need Marie." she spoke to herself, she was really getting worried about her friend, she could feel something was wrong just as she was about to leave the room Lucian was standing at the door with Mariana in his arms, Rosa rushed to their side and saw Mariana gasping for air, her forehead covered in sweat she really looked like she was struggling," w.. what's wrong with her? what did you do?" Rosa asked looking at Lucian suspiciously and blaming him, Lucian laid Mariana on the bed trying to figure out what is the matter with her," my.. my bro..ther, get him." Mariana managed to speak, Lucian stood up turning to Rosa," take care of her, I'll get the people she is requesting for." he said and left, Rosa could only sit beside her friend holding her hand, Lucian ran through the empty halls till he reached Max and Iven's door, he has never talked to them ever since they arrived neither was he planning on it, but he had no choice but to approach them tonight, for Mariana's sake, with a helpless sigh he knocked on the door after a few minutes the door opened and Max was standing on the entrance, he raised a surprisingly brow when he saw Lucian standing on his front door and wondered what he was doing there and what he might want," it's almost midnight, may I ask what is so important than my sleep?" Max asked calmly," your sister, something is wrong." Lucian said as calm as ever, Max frowned and rushed over towards Mariana's room," Mariana!" Max immediately dashed over to Mariana's bed when he saw her weak body laying on the bed, on the other hand Rosa had her eyes wide open seeing Max, she could not believe he was really Mariana's brother. now that the two siblings were together she could see the resemblance except they had two different eyes, Max could tell she was dehydrated not from water but blood," damn it." he cursed his fangs elongating and let them sank onto his wrist, blood sipped out and he carefully stretched his hand out towards her mouth, Mariana opened her mouth drinking the blood, she could feel her strength coming back, when she had enough she pulled back falling back on the bed, she was too tired to keep her eyes open and fell into sleep immediately she had her fill, Max covered her with the sheets and placed a soft kiss on her forehead standing up to leave when she saw a little woman standing a few steps back, Max frowned slightly seeing her in the same room as Mariana, there was silence between them for a long time no one spoke a word, the silence was suffocating for Rosa she couldn't take it anymore and decided to speak first," you.. you're Mariana's brother?" she finally said," you're her roommate huh? how interesting." Max said calmly," what happened to her?" she asked curiously, Max turned to look at his stubborn sister, with a sigh he explained," she's half Vampire half human, half breeds need to consume blood at regular basis to help them keep their strength and sanity in check, she should understand we are not like pure blood Vampires, pure bloods can go for years without consuming blood and still be strong and have their sanity in check, yes we do have pure blood running in our veins but human blood also." he told her," I see." she could only say, Max was about to leave when her second question made him stop in his tracks," do you want to hang out some time? Rosa finally got it out of her chest, Max tilted his head to the side," I'll pick you up tomorrow at 1pm." he told her and left, Rosa switched off the lights going to bed.
