The white rabbit yelled as he got close to her and the man she was warned about. "Alice!" He shouted. She couldn't make out his emotions from her vision's senses but she knew he was filled with worry.
He yawned while settling down on the floor. "Do you think I'd rescue you for free? It's much more fun to cause chaos, 'Magician'." After saying that, she saw the entire terrain around her begin to rip up due to the high force of wind.
She could barely hear what he had said as she watched boulders get shot at the wide rabbit, who managed to dodge while going up. She had to close her eyes as they begun to stung, while unable to hear anything.
The white rabbit jumped back and forth while the joker only continued his merciless assault. He soon grew bored, allowing his friend to get close. "You know the Great Magician right?" He smiled.
It was a mere whisper but even the record-keeper froze midpunch. "Shut up." He said through gritted teeth. His eyes flashed red as the joker jumped clapping.
"I wonder how far you'd go for the one you love? Would you even risk your mind for their sake?" The joker teased as he raised up his hand.
As the rabbit opened a portal the joker blew out a massive tornado which hit everything within its path. "Alice!" He shouted out, but she couldn't hear nor see. She only found her body being drawn in and the sensation she first felt after becoming Alice washed through her.
It was pain yet dizziness. She'd been through the portal before but perhaps it was the sheer force which caused her to cover her head with trembling knees.
She didn't know how long it took but when she exited she landed on her back. "Ouch…" she mumbled as a tear came from her eye and wiped away quickly.
There she was again on the floor by the manor she visited days or what was hours earlier. She looked up to see the Cheshire Cat turning away and walking outside. He was picking up some flowers while she stared.
"Ulex?" She said and her eyes widened. Why was he there? She knew the white rabbit helped her but there was no way?
Quickly she scrambled to her feet and ran after him. "Help!" She gasped after managing to catch up. He turned and stared down with a concerned yet confused gaze.
"Is something wrong?" He asked tilting his head. She assumed he would of heard the news or perhaps he had just been too busy.
Collecting herself, she begun to explain what had happened. "And finally… we're here." She said panting slightly as his mouth were agape causing him to hide it.
Shaking his head he took her hand and guided her away. "I'm taking you home. It's only been a few minutes since our talk."
After hearing that her body froze. Did he just say that they had only met an hour ago or such and now for some reason she's back in time?
He quickened. "The white rabbit…" he murmured as he begin to almost drag her limp body which was still processing her condition.
Turning around he finally stopped. "Never go near the footman, do not approach the joker, and realise you only have one chance." He said with his hands trembling.
"There won't be a next time the bunny saves you. The joker has ties to him after all." He said with a pretty disturbing feel behind them.
She didn't know who he'd refer to but she didn't wish to know. There was so much about this world she couldn't bare to know about.
He gently pat her on the head as he begun to take her the exact opposite way of the Queenly Hall. "Omnipotence is a curse, and you need to control it."
With that said he finally explained to her what happened, making her silent "The place you went is filled with monsters who are barely able to hide their corruptness."
"Although its good to information gather you're unable to do anything when you're weak." The cheshire cat sighed. It seemed like dum tweedle did, in fact, set her up
"You've got to realise the white rabbit saved you but it will be awhile before he recovers. It is likely that you know that you went back in time but it is not something he does often, it is once a millennium,"
"That goes for all of him. The current him cannot enter the past nor can anyone else but he may be able to go to the future,"
He took a deep breath. "However if the rabbit dies his entire body may break," she hadn't realised she'd been holding her breath. It all hit her at once.
"None of us will break like you were told but instead we will be freed of our roles when the white queen is slain."
"You don't have to worry but you must do all in your power to quickly get rid of her so the joker may not touch you and gets sealed away once more," his gaze pierced through her "I'll teach you everything regarding information so please, never do…"
Tears fell down his cheeks and his long eyelashes tickled her hands as he collapsed to his knees. "You're my only hope so please don't die." He hiccuped.
It would be embarrassing to see a man cry to a child but he was at a breaking point. She didn't care anyways but knew she couldn't console him whichever way he wanted, she didn't want to be Alice.
"I'll do my best." She lied through her teeth as she knew all she'd thought so far is how to run away. She wanted to change the people and how they view lives but her survival was her only priority, she only thought of that.
She didn't want to kill, she knew that and yet seeing the cheshire cat who so desperately believed he could save his master with her help, she crumbled.
How did the real Alice feel? She asked herself plenty of times throughout her journey despite it not even being over a week long yet.
"I can't kill, but I'll save you." She wished she could say but the only thing she did was pat him on the head and wipe his tears.
How long will the suffering continue? She put someone at risk by forcing them to save her. She liked the man crying by her but couldn't help him. Is this why it is so easy for the madness to consume you?
She couldn't understand as she felt a sharp ping ring through her head nearly unbearably as he apologised and cleaned up, stating they were near red territory.
"It hurts," she gasped out while clutching her head as her vision returned to normal as regular people call it, "Alice!" She heard a shout from afar.
All of a sudden he disappeared and she looked up. There she saw the face of someone she didn't want, Dee Tweedle. If he didn't share a face he'd be a lot better.
As she stumbled forward he gripped her. "Are you alright? I'm so sorry for what Dum wrote." He sighed rubbing his forehead.
So he knew and likely didn't save her during her two days? How could he leave her alone? How could they all be so terrible as to just-;;
The pain was enormous as she felt her knees give way and her mind consumed with guilt. Why would she think those things?
Out of the corner of her eyes she saw a girl in pure white walking away with a very petite frame and beautiful hair but it only made her repulsed.
She couldn't feel as blood rushed out her body through her lips as her eyes shut, it was a small amount, she'd live, but she didn't feel good.
"Alice?" He shouted shaking her repeatedly as he panicked and begun to run. He tried his best to carry her in fear of what his alter ego may do.
He should of known better than to trust his brother. This was a classic sign. His mouth distorted into a frown as he could feel the chaos ensue, "It's not safe here, this is a classic case of the white queen."
He'd forgotten what it felt like to be in the presence of her. Only during his first encounter did the overwhelming pain flow through. His body felt numb as he saw her lie in a field of flowers just once by the red queen yet he had nearly passed out if not for his training.
But what was the queen doing back in the country now? He didn't know how she got there. And most importantly, how could she trespass territories so easily? As the questions raced through his head he only thought about saving her in the moment and pushed those aside, worst things comes to worse he would have to ask help from that man- Ace of Hearts.
