Chapter 16 - This Is Bad For My Heart!

Athasia tilted her head and looked outside. Even if she wanted to focus on the lesson, she couldn't.

Well, it's because she ran 10 laps during her P.E class. As littleyoonie, she had a low stamina, that's why she chooses to be an author because doing an outside job wasn't her cup of tea.

She sighed, looking down while twirling her favorite pen.

Ivan also came back to their classroom. He just used all the P.E class time to rest at the infirmary and then he returned immediately. As expected from a diligent student.

"I will divide the topics of today's lesson. Group yourselves into three people." He put the book on the desk, "You will report it to me on Monday, so be prepared for the evaluation"

As soon as Athasia heard the professor, she jolted. "What's with the grouping?" she mumbled. She frowned because she already had plans on the weekends.

Athasia is going to visit the establishments Benson recommended because she needed to apply for a part-time job. Of course, before her father took away everything, she needed to prepare for herself.

"Athasia! Let's b-be in o-one group!" Callie turned her chair as soon as the professor left the classroom. Her eyes were beaming like a puppy.

"Sure, sure," The Young Miss replied.

Their classmates also stood up from their seats and formed a group. Some were disappointed, and some were excited. Athasia belongs to the disappointed ones. She's really frowning.

Callie turned her head to her friend's side. "How about you, Ivan?" She moved closer to the other girl's desk. "Do y-you w-want to join us?"

Ivan stopped writing. He raised his head and the afternoon sun hit his face. He blinked his eyes as he brushed his hair up to remove his glasses. It revealed his long lashes. "It's my honor,"

'Such a quite handsome boy,' Athasia thought.

As soon as they formed their own group, Callie said that they can do it at her house. She's excited, this is her first time bringing some friends to their house. For sure, her parents will be glad.

The topic assigned to them wasn't that hard. For Athasia, who topped all the exams, it's an easy peasy activity. However, she wanted to put her plan on the top priority.

Her part-time job hunting!

"Hey guys, do you think we can finish the activity faster this weekend?"

Both Callie and Ivan looked at her. Callie leaned on her desk. "Why? D-do you h-have other p-plans?" she asked, flipping Athasia's book.

"I have.." the Young Miss answered immediately. She got surprised when Callie pouted her lips while looking away. 'Eh? Did she just pout at me? She's cute'

The atmosphere immediately changed when the group of girls standing beside the door screamed with the hearts in their eyes. Some of them almost stretched their necks from the window just to witness the person walking in the hallways.

Some of Athasia's classmates dashed towards the door too.

"Oh my, is that the school council president?!"

"Yup, he's very handsome!"

"His plain expression was making him more attractive!"

"Kyaa! Is he going here for his girlfriend?"

"If it is, then that girl was very lucky"

Athasia 'humph,' she averted her gaze outside. Looking down at the wide school field. 'I included this scene in my novel because I thought it would help one of my male lead's entrance look cool. This is so cliche..' she mumbled inside her thoughts.

Her female classmates' yelling became louder. Even Callie almost flinched from her seat.

Athasia leaned her elbow on the desk and was about to lean on her cheeks when she felt someone cupped her cheeks.

As soon as she raised her eyes, she saw that gray hair fluttering along with the little rays of sunlight penetrating from the window. His green, calm eyes had a glint of worry.

Vincent leaned closer, inspecting Athasia's face. He caressed the Young Miss' cheeks. "It's still unhealed," he said.

Athasia was completely struck that she turned speechless. Vincent was very close, and she felt like their nose was about to touch. The young man's perfume mixed into the air between them and it made her more mesmerized.

'He smells so good,' She thought.

Athasia immediately flinched when she felt the texture of the band aid on her face. She touched her face as soon as she snapped back. "E-Eh? W-What is this?"

"I told you to put on a bandaid for a while. If you expose it like that, it might get infected.." Vincent replied, staring straight at her.

The Young Miss blushed, beet red ears. "D-Don't t-tell me, you went h-here just to c-check on me?" she stammered, lowering her head.

The handsome man's thin lips smiled, and it revealed his shallow dimples. Littleyoonie was the one who made his dimples in that way because she wanted to prove that it's not only the deep dimples that are sexy, but also the shallow ones.

"Am I not allowed to care about you, my princess?" Vincent asked.

Before Athasia finally lost it with her heart pounding so loud inside her chest, two students entered their room.

"President, we're done patrolling." One of them said, "We thought that you already went back to the council office since you suddenly disappeared from our sight,"

Vincent rubbed the back of his neck, releasing a light chuckle. "Is that so?" He stepped forward and smiled, giving Athasia a head pat before passing by her.

Their classmates circled around Vincent on his way to the door. Even the boys adored how calm he is. A model perfect for the student council president position.

The Young Miss was left in her seat, flustered. She shrunk her face into the desk, clenching her chest. 'I think I'm going to die,' she mumbled.

She saw a waving hand in front of her face. "Athasia? What's w-wrong? A-Are you a-alright?" Callie asked.

The Young Miss sprang. "Y-Yes?!" she exclaimed. "W-What is it?"

Callie frowned. "Your face is red." She even leaned closer and tapped Athasia's forehead. "Are y-you o-okay? You d-didn't catch I-Ivan's fever, r-right?" she asked worriedly.

"No, no! I'm fine! I'm fine!" she exclaimed as she whispered to herself. 'This is really bad for my heart'
