Chapter 18 - Are You Into Girls?

"Ehh?! Ehhhhh?!!!!!"

As soon as Olivia's cheeks turned red, her voice startled the crowd. However, before a commotion rose, Athasia immediately covered her lips.

"Hey! Why did you scream? I helped you.." Athasia exclaimed with panic.

In the middle of the crowd, a silhouette of a young, tall man stood amongst the crowd. With his black coat fluttering with his movements, he pushed himself forward.

As soon as he got a glimpse of the situation, which is Athasia pinning Olivia on the shelf, his expression changed.

He crossed his arms. "What is happening here?" he asked in a plain voice.

Max came here because Olivia asked him to be her group mate. He didn't want to talk more, so he just nodded his head. And today was the day when they're going to buy that book for the presentation.

Since Olivia was noisy and clingy, he decided to make up an excuse by going to the bathroom. Not until he heard that familiar, embarrassing voice.

He didn't want to admit it, but thanks to Athasia, the girl got shut.

Athasia met his eyes, and it made her realize what position she was doing to Olivia. She immediately parted and lightly shoved the book to the other girl. 'Geez! Your prince charming is so slow. I almost claimed the spotlight'

She needed to check if Callie and Ivan were already here. They're group mates after all. But when she was about to turn her heels, she felt something on her wrist.

Athasia only realized that Max dragged her somewhere with fewer people.

'Wait! Wait! Wait! Why am I being dragged instead of Olivia?!' she thought.

In her novel, Max never did this to her. He didn't even lay his eyes on the Young Miss. He only had his eyes on Olivia after rejecting Athasia.

Her back bounced on the shelf and before she could react, Max put one hand beside her head. Their gazes locked and the sudden change in the atmosphere brought shivers to Athasia.

She never saw Max this serious. Even though litttleyoonie made his eyes ocean blue, his aura was still potent.

'Get a hold of yourself, Athasia! He left Olivia and dragged you instead! Wait! Did he accidentally grab the wrong hand? No! No! Impossible, he'll already let me go after seeing my face. Wait, a minute! Why is he leaning too close!!!!!???'

These thoughts kept running inside her mind, and it's making her almost dizzy.

"ARE YOU INTO GIRLS?"

Athasia's head immediately spun to Max, who's looking at her with such a serious expression.

She scoffed. "...pfftt.." She curled and tried to stop her laughter by holding her stomach. She couldn't even imagine Max's face anymore.

The young man parted from her and fixed his coat. Still gazing at the Young Miss with cold eyes. He must be wondering why he got laughed out.

And when he was about to open his mouth, Athasia raised her head and pulled him by the collar. Her amethyst eyes dilated in a mischievous way while looking at Max.

She tiptoed closer to the young man's ear and whispered. "Why? Does it bother you?"

Max's body reacted to that ticklish breath. He immediately pulled himself and scowled. "What are you doing?"

Seeing how irritated the young man is, Athasia smirked. 'Teasing this jerk is quite fun,' she thought.

Then, just at the right time, her phone rang. It was a call from Callie, saying that she's already here with Ivan.

After the call, Athasia turned around and waved her hands, giving her last words. "As long as you're not in the option, it doesn't matter"

And from watching her back walking away, an ominous aura surrounded Max. "ATHASIA.." He grumbled.

Callie immediately waved her hands as soon as she saw Athasia's silhouette. She was standing near the counter with Ivan.

As soon as the Young Miss approached them, she immediately greeted them. "Hi guys!"

Callie blinked her eyes, "Athasia, w-why did you c-came out f-from the back?" she asked, still couldn't get rid of her stutter.

A cunning smile flashed on Athasia's face. "I stumbled upon someone very interested there," she said, wrapping her hands around the girl.

'I-Interesting? Is it m-more interesting than me? I w-will work hard' Callie unconsciously clenched her fist up in the air. 'I a-also w-want to be i-interesting in my f-friend's eye!'

The cashier put the book in a paper bag and handed it to Ivan. "Thank you for your patronage," she smiled.

The three of them exited the bookstore. The sun was still up in the sky. More time for Athasia.

"Where are we going to do it?"

Ivan gazed at the Young Miss with his plain expression. "At Callie's place," he replied.

"Callie, is your place that far from here? How many minutes?"

Although surprised by the sudden questions, Callie still answered. "It's not that far from here. Actually, we can just walk." Then she smiled secretly. 'Of c-course, I w-will not d-disappoint my f-friends'

"I have a car.."

Both Athasia and Callie spun their heads to Ivan with their wide eyes. Then the young man beside them took out his car key.

'He's reliable,' Athasia thought. 'I didn't put so many details about him in my novel because he's just a side character, so why is he showing so much?'

From what she has remembered, she just wrote there that Ivan was also a rich second generation son. His family also has a huge contribution to their school.

"Hey! Athasia!"

As soon as she heard her name from behind, the Young Miss turned around. And to her amusement, she found Olivia catching her breath.

The school princess looked devastated as she pointed her finger at Athasia. "Where's Max? He took you with him earlier!" she threw her tantrums. "I couldn't find him–" her eyes immediately widened as soon as she saw Ivan.

"Ivan!? What are you doing with them?!" Olivia exclaimed.

And just like that, Athasia remembered another thing about Ivan. He and Olivia were cousins.

The dumbfounded Callie leaned and poked Ivan's shoulder. "Do y-you know h-her? She's c-calling you.."

The expression on the young man's face turned more plain. "No, I don't know her.." Ivan immediately replied. "Let's go,"

Athasia and Callie looked at each other with the same thought.

'What a cruel man'
