Hailey woke up that monday morning and ran down the stairs hoping to see Jeremy before he left. She met him having some tea at the dinning room.
"Good morning Jeremy." She greeted
"Good morning Hailey. How was your night?" he asked.
"It was okay." she answered.
"Good." He replied as he took a sip from his tea.
"Uhm Jeremy I wanted to tell you something." she said.
"What do you want now Hailey? Tell me about it!" He asked and raised his head to look at her. Hailey froze on the spot as their eyes met.
"Well, I would like to visit my family today. Can I?"
"I ain't stopping you. You can go see them if you want to Hailey. But just make sure you get back here before 7pm. I wouldn't be happy if I get home before you do okay?"
"That's fine by me. I'll be back early. Thank you Jeremy." she appreciated him. A smile curved on his lips.
"You're welcome." He finished up his tea and got ready to leave for work. Hailey escorted him to his car and waved him good bye.
"See you later Hailey." He said to her and drove off. Hailey let out a sigh and went into the house. She headed upstairs to get ready.
She quickly had her bath and went to get dressed. She got and was about to leave when she heard a knock on the door. She opened the door and met a maid.
"Good ma'am." she greeted.
"Good morning, do you need anything?" she asked.
"No ma'am. I just wanted to let you know that breakfast is ready. Can I set the table?"
"Okay fine. I'll eat a little." she replied. The maid gave a courtesy and left. Hailey went into the room to get her bag. She left the house at went downstairs.
Breakfast was served and she ate it in silence. She didn't eat much because she wasn't that hungry. She finished up her meal and got up to leave. She took her car keys and entered the car. She drove off. The road was kinda tensed up. There was an impromptu traffic jam on the road due to an accident. It took the emergency unit quite a few minutes to clear up the road. Hailey and the others had to hold on. The road became clear and the journey continued.
Few minutes later, she was in front of her dad's house. The house she once called home. She parked her car and let out a sigh.
"Home finally!" she said within herself.
She stepped down from the car. She took a deep breathe, inhaling the fresh air from the surrounding. Oh how she had missed this place! She looked around and everywhere still looked just the way it was when she said goodbye. Hailey rang the doorbell and a maid responded to it. She was welcomed in and she went to the living room where she met her parents watching television together.
"Guess who's here?" she said and mom turned back and saw her.
"Hailey!" she exclaimed. She went to meet her parents and hugged them.
"Welcome home my dear." Dad welcomed her.
"Thanks dad!" she replied with a smile.
