The technomagic skill referred to the ability to store spells in a medium and to activate them using technology.
"System why is life and soul affinity at 0?"
**Response Current Body has No Natural Affinity to Magic Fields of Life and Soul**
With his new knowledge of the fields and spells, Null became obsessed with training. He asked Zero if he could build another room on the ship that was specially set up for training his combat abilities and using their new spells.
**Mission Granted: Create 3 Original Spells**
If Null had been older or wiser he may have put more thought into his spells. He may have even considered if he should specialise in an affinity or if he should become a jack of all trades. Except Null was only a 6-year-old boy and even with his accelerated training, His primary focus for spells was what would make him look awesome.
Null was not ready for awesome yet, he didn't have the affinity or the energy to create any of the spells he had come up with. He returned to the VR pod to engage in some of the more intense training scenario's to identify what he would need to survive if the scenarios happened in the real world.
'I need a way to deal with a large volume of crossfire, a form of stealth system and It would help if I could move faster.' He had identified his 3 needs but he was still required to put them together into small but useful spells.
It took a couple of weeks of trial and error to find the right balance between intent, energy use and action but he was done. He also had to meditate and study the voice to increase his affinity. He discovered that he could only increase his affinity to 10 with study alone.
Spell: Halt
Affinity: Motion
Intent: Slows all incoming projectiles within range of 2m by 85%
Energy Requirement: 7
Null would have preferred if the range was greater and the slow percentage was higher but those require more energy and affinity than he had.
Spell: Invisible
Affinity: Space
Intent: Make the user invisible in all spectrums
Energy Requirement: 6
This spell took Null a while to find the correct Affinity, he had tried to create the spell using quantum affinity but it wouldn't work. In the end, the best way to achieve the desired result was to curve space around himself. This spell hid him in a bubble of space but he couldn't move once activated.
Spell: Enhance
Affinity: Motion
Intent: Increases speed by 3%
Energy Requirement: 3
He could make this spell have a higher percentage of boost, but his body couldn't physically keep up with the forces generated. He found this out while attempting a 10% increase and he tore every muscle in his body and need Zero to heal him.
** Mission Complete. Reward : +1 grade Magic control**
"you didn't reward me anything, I learnt that on my own!", the system didn't respond. Null had realised that the system missions were guiding him to learn on his own and that the rewards were just the natural consequence of doing the action. He couldn't complain too much, he could feel that he was getting stronger.
Null hadn't only been working on his spells he had also been training his marksmanship and muscle memory for firing in 360 degrees, Null had an advantage over other humans he could see in all directions with the help of abilities. This also meant that the supersoldier pod had never trained him on how to effectively use this ability so he had to train himself.
It was after one of these training sessions that infy had decided to ask Zero and question he had on his mind for a while.
"Zero who am I training to fight? Is it the other humans?"
The Watcher was taken back by the question. At first, his choice for the super-soldier pod was for him to create a guard human. Something he could take with him to show off to the other races but since his birth, The Watcher thinking had changed he just wanted Null to be strong enough to survive in society.
The Watcher had been observing Null becoming more and more unstable due to loneliness and he knew that he would have to return to humanity sooner or later. Angels are nearly immortal and are used to eons of isolation but that kind of lifestyle would not be suitable for a human.
"You are training to be strong, so strong that humans will find you valuable. Human value strength over everything else. There will come a time when you have to return to humanity and when that time comes I want you to be as strong as possible"
"We are going see other humans?" Null perked up at that suggestion. The only person he ever interacted with was Zero. He craved more human interaction.
