"Driver faster!" Wilson was shouting to the walkie talkie while the drivers heard him. His anger agitated the drivers.
"Sir, the zombies are retreating in a strange manner like they are afraid of coming near us" The soldier from the military jeep, on the right side of Wilson's military jeep, reported to the leader of Team Beta.
Team Beta leader Allan Regalla also reported it to the walkie talkie connected to Wilson and Nathaniel.
"Look closely if there's any strange creature which made them wary" Nathaniel ordered as his body relaxed after hearing that the zombies retreated.
"Yes, Sir!" Team Beta Leader Allan received Nathaniel's order and commanded his men to look around while all military jeep leisurely drove off towards the direction of Alex's house.
"Sir, there's no zombies around the perimeter of that house" the Team Alpha leader Douglas Cavan reported as he observed closely on to the surrounding of Alex's house by using the binocular.
Wilson and Nathaniel immediately received the reports of Team Beta and Team Alpha.
"Strange" Wilson commented as he was looking closely behind them.
There are no zombie hordes behind them like the zombies somehow subconsciously avoided something in the area they headed to.
"But, why?" Wilson asked himself while his mind calculating the possibilities of what's going to happen in there, because of their presence.
At the same time, Nathaniel heard of what Wilson murmured to himself through the walkie talkie.
They haven't turned off the walkie talkie every time they needed to communicate while fleeing.
Also, the walkie talkie they have, is not an ordinary walkie talkie from the military.
It is an upgraded version that can only be activated by awakened people.
Unfortunately, none of soldiers awakened an ability attribute, except Wilson and Nathaniel.
(Author: No spoilers for this HAHAHA. You'll know later, okay?)
Going back, Wilson frowned because of he was lacked of information related to the house.
"Then, let's look inside" Nathaniel ordered, albeit dangerous. The Leaders from each team received his order.
They have known that it is risky but they need a shelter right now. Otherwise, they will be become prey of zombies.
"Wait, Nathan. We don't know what's inside. I think we need to investigate first before going inside" Wilson panicked because he couldn't properly calculate.
He has an ability to predict the future as long as he is provided with informations he needed.
It is nearly similar to Vision which is directly seeing the future without the need of gathering informations.
In short, a pure prediction of the future.
"You're right" Nathaniel listened to Wilson.
Only he and Wilson know about their awakened ability because they trust each other more than the bonds of blood-related brothers.
Although they also trust their men, he and Wilson are different because they childhood friends and they have been knowing each other since then.
"Team Beta, secure the perimeter!" Nathaniel said to his walkie talkie which received by the Allan.
Allan signalled to his men and immediately put out many barricades at the end of perimeter.
"Team Charlie, scout the surrounding if there's any human survivors around" which received by Oliver, Team Leader of Team Charlie.
Oliver waved his arms to his men as they immediately lined up in front of him. He designated five soldiers to scout the odd directions.
(Author: I don't know what the military called it but the 'odd' word here refers to the odd numbers of the clock. Do you remember when Nathan asked them before of which direction the zombies are?)
"Team Alpha, come with me!" Nathaniel brought the Team Alpha with him towards the direction of the gate. He paused and closely scrutinized the gate.
"It is equipped with thicked metal based on military standard" Wilson's eyes shone brightly like a kid who found his toy while Nathan squinted as he was ignoring Wilson.
"Enter" after he manipulated the thick metal gate effortlessly and signalled to the Team Alpha from behind him.
They were stunned to see a luxurious mansion with a wide area of grassland.
A fountain was placed on the middle of the lawn while plots of flowers are aligned vertically from where they are standing to the main door of the mansion.
"Bourgeoisie!!" Wilson exclaimed as a praised. Although they are born in a wealthy family and have many mansions but that was before the zombie apocalypse.
A luxury like this will be envied by many shelters, if they found out about it.
Nathaniel became interested and curious to whose mansion it is....or was, right?
Wilson opened the main door. A cozy and warm living room appeared in front of them which made the Team Alpha awe.
"Check the first floor" Nathaniel ordered.
Although they rudely entered the house without prior notice to the house owner, he couldn't blame himself for it because they need a temporary shelter right now.
"Living Room, Clear!"
"Dining Room, Clear!"
The Team Alpha reported and they didn't see anyone here.
"Upstairs!" Team Alpha Leader Douglas Cavan initiated to his men and they slowly walked upstairs.
"Hallway, Clear!" one of the Team Alpha members reported.
Douglas saw five rooms. The four rooms were facing each other while the last one room stood out at the end of the corridor.
"Sir, there are five rooms here in second floor, sir!" Douglas reported to his walkie talkie while Wilson and Nathaniel are still left behind in the first floor.
"Check each room" Wilson ordered as he was following behind Nathaniel.
Nathaniel closely observed every nook and cranny of the living. The living room is arranged cleanly without speck of dust and the dining room has no dirt.
He went towards the kitchen and everything was arranged.
As he deduced from his observation, the house owner is a clean freak or has a obsessive-compulsive disorder.
If Alex heard his thoughts, he will be screaming inside because his OCD is his greatest secret.
After all, who would have thought that a zombie like him will have such disorder?
"Clear!" Douglas reported after checking the four rooms.
"Sir, we cannot open the door" one of his men said as they were trying to open the door of the last one room, which do not have a doorknob.
