"Boss! We are already exhaust our energy reserved!" a blonde man panicked as he felt that he cannot produced fire on his palm anymore.
"Then, let's look for a shelter we can stay for the mean time!" another man shouted as he took his riffle on his shoulder. He cannot shoot anymore, not because he lacked of bullets but because his energy reserved is also draining.
In order to shoot accurately with power force, he injected his energy attribute to the bullets.
"Look over there! I am seeing a mansion!" he wielded a twin sword. Every time he is swinging his sword, an electric shock formed on its edges and it stun the zombies.
"What mansion?! We are in the middle of the forest! How come there is a mansion here?!" a young man, who wanted to produce fire earlier, got annoyed because they haven't seen anyone in the middle of the person but, suddenly, his buddy told them about a mansion? Seriously?
"I don't care if you believe me or not! If that's not a mansion, then what is it?!" he is swinging his twin sword professionally without mistakes to those zombie rats who are trying to climb up behind the military jeep.
"Driver faster!" the sniper shouted as he looked behind him. Behind the military jeep is a horde of zombies.
Then, the driver stumped on the maneuver and the military jeep drive faster than before. He is sweating while his hands are trembling but it never left the wheel.
Normally, his buddy who is assigned as a driver didn't fear anyone. However, because of twists and turns of their current predicament, no one knows if they will either return alive or become zombies.
"It is indeed a mansion!" the blonde man was shocked to see luxurious mansion in the middle of the forest.
"Let's go there!" their Boss commanded. They have no other choice but to go there than being eaten alive by the zombie rats.
They nodded. However, the land suddenly vibrated and several metallic walls emerged out from the ground. Its edge looked like a sharpen sword. Many zombies were sliced up by the metallic walls. Their upper bodies are crawling on the ground while their lower bodies are left behind that metallic wall.
The military jeep stopped its engine. A young man with cold and aloof personality walked down from the military jeep and stared on the metallic walls.
"Leave this to me" a man with a twin sword volunteered and immediately cut off the heads of the crawling zombie rats. Zombie rats cannot fight back because their movements are being slowed down without their lower bodies.
"Hello. Is anybody here?" the driver asked loudly since there are metallic walls behind them which prevented the zombie rats from entering.
"Hey, lower down your voice. What if there are zombie rats around?" the blonde man sushed the driver.
Suddenly, a head peeked out of gate. They are astonished to see a good-looking young man. Even from the distance, they could tell that his skin is soft and without blemishes. He is Alex Fernandez.
"Hi. I'm the only one here. Who are you?" the good-looking young man asked while looking at them innocently and his eyes are without malice.
" Hello! I'm Dennis Segismundo. The one who is wiping his sniper is Sam Antonio and the one who is holding a twin sword is Zander Legaspi. The one behind me is Louise Santos - our driver for today. The silent type behind us is our Boss, Kevin Santiago" a young man named Dennis introduced himself and his company.
Alex blinked twice and pressed the button of the remote controller for opening the gate. The gate slowly opened without noise.
"Come in!" he invited them inside. Although he decided to isolate himself from secular world, he doesn't want to ignore those people who want temporary shelter.
Louise walked back to the military jeep and drove it inside.
They were stunned to see a huge space. Before reaching the mansion, there's a fountain on the center surrounded by flower decorations.
"Just park the vehicle over there" Alex pointed towards the huge tree. There are motorcycle, bicycle and sport car parked there. Louise drove towards that direction.
"I'm sorry for bothering you" Kevin coldly said as his eyes scrutinized the young man in front of him.
Alex waved his hands, "No need to say that. It's dangerous outside. Anyone can do the same if you're in different territory" he nonchalantly said.
They walked towards the entrance of the mansion. The living room has a complete appliances. Of course, Alex got everything before the apocalypse.
"There are vacant rooms on the second floor and third floor. You can go anywhere except the fourth floor. That's my personal space" he said.
Also, the other meaning behind his word is that they can enter anywhere the mansion as long as they don't trespassed the fourth floor. Otherwise, he will kicked them out without second thought.
"Thank you" Kevin said as his eyes gazed around the living room.
Dennis went towards the kitchen shamelessly and opened the fridge.
Alex's lips twitched.
"Are they really that hungry?" he thought while Sam and Zander caressed their forehead because of Dennis's behavior.
"Uhhh..." Kevin was stunned and realized that they haven't had eaten anything since the time they fled from the ruins of A Hospital.
Then, five stomachs sounded throughout the living room because of hunger.
Alex pretended that he hasn't hear anything at all and went towards the kitchen. He took out a box of cup noodles and handed it to the five men.
"This is your lunch for today. I'll cook later" he smiled at them harmlessly.
'I'm not your servant after all' he thought.
Kevin saw through him but understood Alex's arrangement. Since they are strangers to him, Alex must not revealed his food reserves.
The other four has no objections and started eating the cup noodles. Fortunately, Alex has distilled water and rice cooker for hot water.
