Chapter 26 - Bloody Greetings

The two began fighting as intended a clash of two fellow comrades of war settle their differences and fight to finally end this dispute before its too late. "Jason you should have known better my friend. My rules and beliefs could have saved millions Jason, MILLIONS!" Said the Apostle. "But at what cost though? Your comrade's lives?" Said Jason. "This is for the betterment of this world and sacrifices is inevitable. There will be no change if sacrifice is done." Said the Apostle. "The only sacrifice I'll be doing is taking you down!" Said Jason.

"Right back at ya my friend." Said the Apostle as the two engages in a bloody battle that exchanges blows and hits. "What a way to say a greeting to an old friend." Said the Apostle. "What? Didn't you also greet us with an army." Said Jason. "Says the guy who came here all bloodied up with my subjects mushed into pieces." Said the Apostle. "You know I'm bad on entries right?" Said Jason. "Never change, Jason... Never change." Said the Apostle as they clash and bash their enhanced attacks more than ever blood and the sound of bones cracking and breaking won't stop the two from fighting.

"Looks like you still got it my friend but you're more sluggish than before." Said the Apostle after 30 minutes into the battle. "Well I guess you've been training since I've passed away plus I'm a bit rusty now since I haven't fought in like years now." Said Jason. "Fair point, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't be this weak since your title strikes fear even to us you know." Said the Apostle.

The two maintained distance and is equal in power from the looks of it despite the Apostle saying that Jason is rusty around the edges and hasn't been as fast and powerful as he used to be in his prime. "You know that new kid you're possessing is interesting if I'm honest Jason." Said the Apostle. "Why do you say that?" Said Jason. "Well one, he immediately attacked me when he saw one of your subjects. Two, he has the same look when you first saved that young man too." Said the Apostle.

"Was that a compliment or something? Or you're just messing with me." Said Jason. "I mean I wouldn't mention it if he didn't intrigued my interest." Said the Apostle. While in the middle of conversation sparks of weapons hitting flies in the air while the earth they're standing on is cracking and breaking due to the shockwave of weapons clashing.

"Anyways, why just now? Why are you late to the party anyways Jason?" Said the Apostle. "Hey, it's my first time possessing someone it took a minute or two to figure it out. It wasn't easy of course, but you know what I could help the kid grow a bit better." Said Jason. "Well grow up slowly I guess because you're too SLOW!" Said the Apostle as he kicks Jason from a blind spot knocking him back stumbling to stand due to the surprise attack.

"That was genuinely surprising right there." Said Jason. "We've been a steady stalemate why not spice it up right?" Said the Apostle. "You know what you're right. But then again you forgot the ability that the title has right?" Said Jason as he stands up from the pile of rubble that fell on him. "What was it again? I kind of forgot." Said the Apostle.

"Each time you get stronger I do too, each time you provoke me I'll just get tougher." Said Jason. "Oh right... Wait F-" Said the Apostle as he was given a return surprising attack from Jason.

After another hour and two... "You know what Jason. I just realized something you haven't mentioned my name in anyway and form." Said the Apostle as he closes the gap for his attack. "Why would I mention the name you've forsaken and abandoned?" Said Jason as he deflects the Apostle's attacks. "So you've become a spirit now Jason why not you join me once again we could be comrades." Said the Apostle.

"Funny you mentioned that considering who killed me in the first place." Said Jason. "Well that was just my shortcoming there. But we can fight side-to-side again and rule this earth." Said the Apostle. "If I did I wouldn't be right in the head so no. I'm sorry that I can't accept that offer since it is my job to take you down and those who disturbs the balance." Said Jason.

"Spoken like a real hero like you always do." Said the Apostle as they fight head-to-head as they finally start to damage each other as the fight boils up into a serious note...

Meanwhile in the resistance's base... "We've been watching them for the past hour now. We're they really that close before?" Said Jacob. "Yes, Mr. Jacob they were. People back then consider them as brothers since they grew up together surviving in the forest as adventurers when the events of entitlement had occur both of them had a sudden change of heart as one lives and breathes in battle while the other is rational and a bit of a heretic. You can tell which is which and who's who in the story by now." Said Pat.

"I see, so those two are equal in their own rights but will this hinder Mr. Jason's killing ability?" Said Elise. "As you look again it doesn't both of them know that one of them will die they have too. Because that is the law of their titles and how they become beyond humans." Said Pat. "As per history suggests Mr. Jason here needs to win this battle." Said Night.

"You might need to take a closer look again there Ms. Night. Jason isn't a person who have backed down on taking down fellow comrades if he/she was a traitor. He was a brutal man when times of brutality is needed. And both of them are at their peak as of now. What we can just do is watch and let the law of their Titles decide for the result of the battle." Said Pat as everyone tensed up as the heat of the battle is just getting more and more fired up.
