As Alex finished getting discharged from the hospital his team are waiting outside for him. "Took you long enough." Said Jacob. "3 days of being in a coma isn't easy okay." Said Alex. "Now, now we have a mission given to us." Said Elise. "Okay, anyways where we heading?" Said Alex as he steps down from the stairs.
"We'll be heading south-west from here. It'll be a few days of travelling from the looks of it, Castle recommended that we travel there by foot because vehicles are strictly prohibited there and is very dangerous to be in one there." Said Jacob. "I know, but we have also have to be prepared for the worst since that domain is very, let's just say uncomfortable when we arrive there." Said Alex. "What for though?" Said Elise.
"Just a warning given to me and how horrid that place is." Said Alex as he carries his bag and his axe with him. The four of them walk towards the direction they were given with training at hand with a bit of doubt if they could take down all 11 remaining Apostles.
It took them a few days to reach the border before the land of the Heretic. As they slowly approaches the wall bordering the two domains they can smell the rotten stench of blood over the wind that pushes over the wall.
"Over that is a more darker domain one that cannot survive without taking people down. From what I've heard and understood from their warnings." Said Alex as they prepare their weapons but before they cross Night said to them. "We have the rings right? Why not we just use it to just look around the domain before we do anything." Said Night as she wears her ring given by Eric as means of hiding their presence.
"Good idea, let's still be careful we may never know what we'll see on the other side." Said Alex with his axe at hand in case of emergencies. The group walked into the domain and immediately they saw dark clouds.
They began their search around the domain by splitting up for now with rings intact they looked how terrible the living conditions of the domain with people sick, near death, or dead on the ground with some praying in the ground from Alex's observations he think its a religious day for them. While walking around for 20 minutes now. They hear a PA system announcing something.
"Citizens! It is time for the weekly sacrifice. Bring out the best untainted virgin amongst you to be sacrificed for our Apostle as per his words of wisdom of 'A sacrifice of an innocent person untainted by which know unbounds be killed by me for it is written for me to reach Godhood for everyone's salvation' May we pray for the sacrifice today. This is the announcement from the Hectic Priests."
As the PA systems stops the people of the domain walked towards some kind of chapel and a woman with a bag on her face is brought forth to the chapel. With doors locked and the screams of the woman being amplified by the PA system the sacrifice had been done and Alex couldn't do anything due to how random everything is here and how horrible what they've just witnessed.
After a few minutes as Alex tries to walk back towards outside town he hears the PA system again. "Brothers and Sisters! It is I the Apostle Heretic would like to announce that the Sacrifice was a success! It brought me one step further on to nirvana! Sooner or later we will reach that place where no man had ever been! Rejoice in the words of the Heretic!"
Alex finally hears the voice of Apostle Heretic and begins to carry a grudge upon the man who thinks he could reach Godhood. Alex went back to their camp site hidden in the caverns of a mountain. "You guys heard what the Apostle said?" Said Jacob. "Loud and clear. That bastard is using his own people for his own cult." Said Night as she gets pissed on what she saw downtown. "Okay what did you guys found out?" Said Alex.
Everyone gave their side of what they've found. Elise found out that people are barely eating and the ground isn't much okay for planting food and most animals are already dead. From the information Elise gave they're probably some kind of food that the Apostle is giving seems not too bad even though the lands aren't okay for planting.
Jacob saw the working force as they work in the mines to grab materials used for powering the castle of the Apostle. Other than that Jacob never really saw anything more unusual. Night saw downtown as public hanging was common there and how it made her pissed off on this Apostle. Elise talked to Night to calm down, and that leads to what Alex saw on his side. He gave them the information that people go to a Chapel every week and had to sacrifice an innocent person to satisfy the Apostle and everyone was shocked on how this was normal. From that they've been given the gripes on how horrid this domain is.
They started to write down the information they got and argued on how they will execute this mission in this domain and if they should save the people or not. Their main objective is taking down that bastard of a Apostle and what he has done for his people. They were surprised on how this domain is still standing strong despite the awful living conditions the people are living in.
As everyone gets tensed up from their impression of this domain Alex spoke these words... "Welcome to Heresy everyone."
