Chapter 12 - little found princess

"need some water" asked Mary coming to stand behind her, "don't feel too bad dear, I know it hurts, but you don't need to make the pain consume you" she rubbed her shoulders gently.

"I lost my parents, Mary. I....I don't know what to do." she looked up to meet Mary's eyes, "I don't know what I did to be chased away like that" tears slidding down her cheeks.

"I'm here now, okay. Always remember you have me here with you now and I will stand by you and be your backbone. Always." assured Mary wiping Eli's tears with her thumb, "come here" Mary walked around and hugged her.

"thanks" Eli whispered sniffing

" it's nothing dear" Mary said rubbing her back gently. She gently pulled away from the hug and smiled at her little found princess lovingly, " always remember dear that I'm always by your side, don't hesitate to tell me anything. I'm now your new found mummy. what do you think " Mary Stated in a jest trying to ease the tension.

Eli smiled feeling relieved and much better, " thanks mom". Mary blinked not expecting that from her, " oh, you are welcome darling" Eli smiled and hugged Mary once more, " I'm so proud to have you darling. I'm Soo happy dear." Eli couldn't help the tears running down her cheeks, she never thought she would one day have someone like Mary in her life in the place of mom.

After the tragic death of her parents, she felt devastated and felt like her life has no use until she came across Ryan.

"I'm so grateful to God mom Mary" she tilted her head blinking her puppy brown eyes, " should I call you mom Mary or mom" she asked with creased forehead as if in deep thought.

" mm, mom should be fine. I gat a daughter without giving birth to one." Mary jested and heard Eli giggle, she felt so happy. Hearing her little princess giggle right now was enough to make her happy and relieved.

At that moment she swear to take up the responsibility of a good and caring mother to Eli. She couldn't be more happier, or ask for more cause what she has now is really more than enough.

' Eli's parents thanks a lot for giving birth to a beautiful, wonderful and intelligent child as Eli, I'm so grateful. I promise I will take care of your daughter as my own, in place of you. Please grant me your blessings.

And I promise to bring justice to you, either now or later but I definitely will do it.' she silently promised the deceased parents of Eli.

" mom, are you okay" Eli asked when she noticed Mary spacing out, eyes filled with tears slidding down her cheeks.

" mom " Eli called once more, hearing no reply from her she gently cupped her cheeks with both hands wiping her tears, " mom, what is wrong, are you alright?" worry was written clearly on her face as she stared at the crying Mary in front of her.

Mary was jotted back to reality by Eli's warm little hands on her cheeks and whispering. " I'm fine dear, this are tears of joy. come let's celebrate" Mary changed the topic trying to ease the tension.

" and what are we celebrating" Eli rolled her eyes suspiciously.

" what else, common now don't kill the fun." Mary pulled her to sit on the couch and grabbed a bottle of wine to pour Into the cups on the center table and handed her a cup.

"I will be thirteen on the 5th of next month" Eli began with smile plastered on her face, " what will you give me mom?" Eli said blinking her puppy brown eyes at Mary. " oh dear. don't worry I definitely will get you something, hmm?".

Eli gave a little nod and smiled beautifully at her.

Though thirteen, she is more matured than thought of her age. Sometimes when she speaks people over exaggerate her age, and that exactly was what made Mrs Quinn threatened.

" ah.. I think I should grow faster" Eli exclaimed out of the blue.
