Chapter 14 - Move On

Things in Eli's life had took a 'u' turn, things has really changed in her life where she wondered if her parents were to be alive, would she had met the cruel Mrs Quinn?, no, she wouldn't. She sometimes want to turn back the hand of the clock, so as not to witness the cruelty of a mother to another's daughter, but if given the chance she wouldn't because if truly she turned back time there would be no Mom Mary in her life and there would also be no Lanabele Song in her life.

Though Ryan Quinn behaved indifferent, deep down he cares. She recently came to know that he was the one that paid for Mom Mary's shop and also for her school fees.

Though six years older to her, he behaves like a full grown man, carrying the aura of a powerful tyrant, maybe he is and maybe not. Maybe his family background requires such cold, intimidating and authoritative aura.

Eli smiled to herself and continued moulding the dough.

She often call Mom Mary's cafe 'mini mart' because sometimes the way the cafe looked reminds her of the mart she and her mom once went to.

Recalling the pleasant time she spent with her mom made her smile bitterly, who would have thought her dearest mother would be killed gruesomely? and by a family alliance? the thought of it made her clench her fists in pure anger and revenge, 'you just wait'. After some more thinking, she exhaled loudly and concluded seeking revenge wouldn't help for now, she sighed helplessly as she wished, 'i hope you rot in hell'.

Hours turned to minutes as Eli once again buried herself in work to help distract her, and keep her mind occupied from seeking revenge.

Soon it was time to leave the cafe, they both wrapped things up and left for home, stepping out of the cafe, Eli turned to stare at the words "ELMA CAFE" boldly written at the top of the building, using the first two letters of their names.

"the sun is setting" Mary noted staring at the now setting sun that gave out a golden glow in it's full glory.

"mm, and it's beautiful" Eli agreed looking up at the scenery, as she felt the beauty the sun gave out calm her heart, bringing the shattered pieces of her heart together and settling the ongoing war in her mind.

"indeed" mom Mary couldn't agree more because it really is beautiful. she paused and turned to at Eli whose face for the first time was peaceful without crease, and surprisingly beautiful, 'its a rare to see her this peaceful' she thought to herself.

After all the events that took place in Eli's life, from loosing her parents to being thrown out of the shelter that was given, Eli turned rigid as stone. Eli hasn't looked this peaceful since Mary knew her, though she do smile but not a whole heated smile.

And Mary thought there is more to what the girl told which turned out to be a secret she obviously wouldn't want to tell anyone.

"let's go out tomorrow" Mary said out of the blue that had Eli turn at he snapping from the peaceful - like - trance of hers.

" hm?..." Not getting what she said,

" let's go out somewhere tomorrow, what do you think"

" Alright" came her simple answer. Eli sighed and encouraged herself to move on, ' Eli it's time to move on, you gotta be strong' she cheered herself. though this same word has been repeatedly said to her but she couldn't just move on like that, thankfully she was finally able to convince herself.

"let's go home dear" Mary who. noticed her sigh quietly said and they both left.

Blue City

Somewhere at the center of Blue City stood a majestic and extravagant mansion, in one of the many rooms at the right wing of the building, a serious and heated conversation was going on.

"this is really complicated"
