"Come on, let us notify Dean as soon as possible," I responded as I hurried to get to one of the projection magic.
"No need; we informed Dean on the way up here." Xavier continued as I halted my motion and started walking back to the couch.
"How did the dean respond?" I inquired.
"Dean has summoned back Hex and interrogated them; the video is proof. He has also told the cove of the judge to come to Dark Academy as soon as possible." Maggie stated.
"How did you people get hurt? ," Hudson inquired.
"Got into a Fight with Bryce as he attempted to Escape, and Maggie got into a Fight with Eva as she aided Bryce in fleeing the scene." Xavier said, "Also, Maggie went beyond to hit Eva when she was bad-mouthing you," Maggie replied with a smile, matching Xavier's expression.
"Oh my goodness, you people." I shake my head in response to their brawls, even though I appreciate Maggie sticking up for me.
"Oh my goodness, you people." I shake my head in response to their brawls, even though I appreciate them sticking up for me.
"We have yet to fulfill our Mission," Hudson said. "We can't deny we have to go back o campus."
"Shit coven that couldn't offer me justice, and do you think they'll serve justice right?" I let out a rage-filled growl, and all three eyes gazed at me with comprehension; the Coven didn't hold Bryce accountable for almost raping me.
We reunited after an hour with our backpacks, were transported back to school, and were all called to court instantly as we brought all the students. We waited for the coven to appear as the Hex team stood in blame stand, and I saw Colton walking in and joining us, his face looking tired. His stare caught mine for a few seconds before his eyes skated away as if he was distancing himself from me or terrified of something. "We've assembled here with evidence accusing the Hex gang of assisting the enemy."
The guard then spoke aloud to ensure that the students and the professor knew the court hearing. After that, the coven took their places in the judgment seats and aired the footage on the projection screen.
The Hex team entered the culprit stand, and the audience moaned loudly, so we moved to the witness stand.
Most of the video showed Bryce chatting with Alien Vrerciks and telling them that our team was near to locating their base, and the guards of Vrerciks were running as Xavier tried to grab Bryce in the video before it stopped. So I didn't sense any alien energy when we met up with Team Hex that night in the dawn street.
The Students gasped as they saw what was happening in the video, and Bryce expressed this also astonished me. The coven turned to stare at Bryce. "I see all the evidence team Phoenix has uncovered; wonderful job!" The coven said.
"However, other than Bryce, I don't see any other team members on this film; do you have any other proof against the other individuals?" The coven inquired, and all the members' eyes turned to stare at us.
"This is the sole piece of evidence that our team has uncovered." Colton reacted strongly. I let Colton know about the events leading up to today's judgment.
"If that's the case, I don't think the other individual of hex should be accountable for the crimes Bryce did alone." Coven said.
"No, I am not the only one taking part in this; my team is also." B, they screamed.
"Sir, we do not know what he's talking about. He's the one who should take action."Eva, crying and playing the innocent card, and the Hex team chastised Bryce for his behavior.
"I saw you, Eva, with Bryce. Don't pretend innocent." Maggie screamed angrily.
"I saw Eva as well," Xavier said.
"So, do you have evidence against me?" Eva inquired. Xavier and Maggie could not respond to her.
"You came later to aid Bryce when you were aware of our presence," Maggie shouted.
"Your comments cannot be proved." Eva turned to face the coven for questions to answer.
"That is a valid argument, Ms. Carter, as expressed; do you have any proof, Ms. Hall?" Maggie was about to give the coven a back response, which would have been problematic for Maggie, so I held her as the coven questioned her to calm her down. With her gaze, I begged her with my eyes, Please, don't back answer them.
Maggie answered gently, "No."
"Maggie is right. Eva, I am not the only one; why are you lying?" Bryce roared, and she disregarded his cries.
"Enough, Mr. White. We see you collaborating with aliens and breaching the law. Your words are meaningless. The coven has held Bryce responsible for his actions. He has been ejected from the Royal Vampire Club and the Dark Academy and will be imprisoned for one year." The coven declared.
The guards took Bryce away. Bryce shouted and screamed until it was dragged away from the court. "Who will be the future captain of Hex?" murmured the crowd.
"Silence, students; we have a new leader for Hex prepared." The coven's words perplexed me, and when I glanced at Dean, he, too, seemed unaware of what was going on.
"Niall Vega will take over as captain next." My mouth dropped as I looked at Hudson, who kept a severe expression and instantly concealed his reaction as he heard them.
Niall stepped onto the court, glanced at his brother, and his grey orbs gazed at him colder. And he seemed different from Hudson. While Hudson had chestnut hair and Niall had raven hair. He glanced around at our whole crew.
His eyes connected for a second longer than required, and I swiftly looked to the Hex team, who was staring at Niall. "It then adjudicated the case before the court today." We exited the witness stands, and I saw Hudson and Colton were anxious, as were Xavier and Maggie, who appeared unhappy at the result, stated the coven leader.
The Coven usually makes hasty decisions, and I'm afraid I have to disagree with the ruling that they held Bryce when the entire team was to blame. Colton and Hudson proceeded to their rooms while Xavier and Maggie went to talk with Dean to inform the coven of their decision.
I just walked to my dorm as well, exhausted, and I was shedding my clothes and wearing pajamas because I wanted to sleep in a bed. As I lay on the bed and tried to sleep, the day's event started playing in my head, and the dream of reincarnation felt so real that I was afraid it would happen again if I closed my eyes.
Because of the mission's outcome, it surprised me it had chosen Niall as the group's new leader. Was it already determined by the coven to make Niall the captain when they learned of Hex's arrest? The news that Hudson's brother had enrolled in the Dark academy and become a captain must have infuriated him. I wanted to ask Hudson why he hated his brother so much, but I didn't, since I could tell Hudson was still uneasy.
I grunted and sat on the bed, unable to fall asleep. I gaze out the window. It was early morning after a long night with Court and the coven, and I saw Niall walking across campus with Eva and Mia. Why do I feel there's more danger ahead when I meet Naill and Eva and go to my diary? I checked to confirm Xavier's Death date since, in a former life, he died suddenly; I wanted to see the date to prove how much time I had to help Xavier, but what startled me was that Xavier's death date had already passed; does that mean it won't happen and Xavier is safe from danger, or did I put a stop to it?
After hearing a tap on the door, I looked at the clock and saw it was already 5:00 a.m. I was curious about who may be at my door at such an early hour, so I opened it to see Dean. I glanced up, surprised and terrified. "Aria, get ready and come to my office." He murmured, and I nodded as he walked away, gawking at his back departure. Why did Dean come to meet with me? He might have sent someone else to contact me. I rushed out the door and changed into my casuals since today was a holiday at the Academy.
When I entered the room, Dean was standing and staring out the window, and it drew his attention to me. It's time to face your truths, and I hope you're prepared to hear them. "Dean, yes," I whisper beneath his stare, not knowing why the weight of his gaze makes me so terrified.
