When I turned to look beyond the pillar, there was nothing. My eyesight didn't blur as before, and the enchantment in the air had vanished. "What are you searching for, Aria?" Maggie walked up next to me and gave me a skeptical look as she stared at me.
"Nothing…." Maggie grins and nods. "So, let's talk about your day with Hot, comrade. How was it?" As I snarled in response to her query, she chuckled.
"To put it another way, train like there's no tomorrow." Maggie laughed even louder.
"Tell me about your day," I asked. "There was no gorgeous eye candy to gaze at. It crowded them with just the ladies." She let out a groan. I try not to chuckle at her.
"Why don't we get something to eat in the canteen today? It's burger and fries day, my all-time favorite meal combo." I could gauge her pleasure level because it provided us with diet meals the whole day.
Every one of us follows specific eating plans, and each of those plans includes a day when we may consume whatever junk food we choose. Maggie dropped her bag and clutched my hand to keep up with her.
"Women move quickly. Because I need that burger, they will run out of food if we arrive late." Maggie was still dragging me, and when I arrived at the canteen, there was an extensive line of students, something I had never seen on a typical day.
"No…" Maggie moaned, and her stomach growled."I can't tolerate the wait for the burger."
"Maggie, I'm here to provide a hand," Xavier murmured, and she gave him a gleaming gaze as if he were a hero in dazzling armor. Hudson and Colton are also heading toward us. "Can you get me a burger? I'm starving."
"Even I cannot tolerate the hunger."I had my mothering water, and Xavier laughed as Maggie nodded in agreement. "Stop laughing; we both need food." Maggie let out a low growl, and Xavier stifled a giggle. "Let's make supper an adventure and head to a mystical town. My treat." I spoke before Xavier could. I regret saying it since I had little money. "That is the most brilliant concept. Are you three coming along?" Maggie inquired, and they all nodded in agreement.
I let out an angry grunt internally. I realized that the beautiful precious stone I had received as compensation for entering the elite squad would be broken for a week.
Xavier wore a grin, whereas Colton's look was severe, Hudson's was gloomy. The line broke because the fan girls were distracted by the three gorgeous stars in the canteen, so the line shrank, and Colton, Hudson, and Xavier tried to maneuver themselves past, and Maggie pulled, and we received the burger, french fries, and milkshake.
We sat down and ate the Juicy burger and fries. "You two," Colton grumbled, and we failed to remember that fan girls talking to them cornered these three. Maggie and I smiled sheepishly as Hudson and Xavier frowned at us, our plates already empty.
"You abandoned us when you were expected to help clean up the mess." Hudson barked."Sorry, we couldn't help but battle a grumbling tummy." Maggie shows she agrees with what I've said by nodding her head.
"Aria, you were supposed to offer us snacks, and if those ladies in the canteen see you are waiting any longer, they will start chatting with us again," Xavier expressed his displeasure.
"All right, let's go." I felt terrible for abandoning them in such a manner, so I offered them a snack, which made them happy.
"I'll eat ice cream after that," Maggie replied, and I sighed since she loves sweets.
As we approached the front entrance, I saw Eva and her colleagues. I was irritated because the joy of a good meal had left a sour taste in my mouth. "I notice you're on a group excursion," Eva said, and I saw everyone in the group was severely.
"This is none of your concern, Eva," Maggie said, her voice colder than I had perceived.
"Why are we all academics and soldiers standing to safeguard humans?" Eva said her crew was watching her like a hawk. "I'm sorry, Ms, but I don't have time for small talk." Alpha Colton said, and Eva Face frowned at Colton's words. We entered the mystical village by a dimensional gateway.
On the first outing for the squad, Hudson requested his drink, which was blood. Colton asked for his red meat, and Xavier and Maggie shared a fried chicken while Maggie hogged all the ice cream. I didn't eat while I watched them because I was too full.
"Why don't we go to a quiet location to dine somewhere? I can't tolerate it any longer in the canteen." Hudson spoke up, and Colton and Xavier agreed.
"Listen, you nobles have a lot of money, but the canteen is where we have to eat to stay alive. We can't have eateries and cafés like you three." Maggie stated. Though she is right in certain respects, Maggie receives glares of disapproval from the three.
"I agree with Maggie. Why don't we gain an extra room and hire a chef to make us some nice food?" I said that they were considering my suggestion. "We may all contribute to the chef's salary. And the place you, Colton, can speak with Dean on that."
"That's preferable to standing in the canteen and hearing the chatting ladies." According to Alpha Colton. The four stared at me as I grinned. "I must retire early To bed." I checked at the wristwatch, and it was already 10 p.m. Xavier's emerald eyes gazed at me, and Hudson detected our eye contact and glared as he ducked behind the chalice.
When I returned to my room, I attempted to sleep before leaving with Xavier, but I didn't get any. So instead, I toss and turn on the bed. I couldn't sleep so I dressed in black and brought a jacket and swords in case I needed them.
I scan around the hallway to see if there is someone there with whom I can slip out to the rooftop. I could utilize teleportation magic, but it would notify the magic-detecting devices. I reach the roof and glance around to see Xavier getting closer. Did anybody spot you?"No, let us leave immediately." I muttered
"Do not be concerned," After he hushed us and performed some magic, we found ourselves in the middle of a verdant forest.
I was dizzy from the magic, but Xavier grabbed my hand and helped me keep my balance. "God, why did you use teleportation magic? Won't Dean know?" I asked Xavier, and he signaled me to remain quiet, which I did.
I followed Xavier till we arrived at the area where all the gargoyles' sculptures were seated as if protecting. And it drew their gazes to Xavier, and they examined him and me, with Xavier holding my hand. "She is with me." He whispered, and the Gargoyles opened the stone barriers.
Xavier would not let go of my hand, and I did not dispute with him since this place was so dim that I could not see correctly, in contrast to Xavier, who could see everything in perfect clarity. "Aria, we'll be nearing town shortly."
Xavier saw my inability to keep up with his speed and slowed down. "I know it's dark now, but you'll see lights after we get out of the thick forest.
We moved out of the meadow and saw the city, which had large structures as in the human world, and I observed several individuals walking home from work. Initially, I realized The Gargoyle would look like a gothic manner, but it is not.
"What are you thinking, Xavier?" I inquired as we continued to stroll toward the streets. "Aria, I understand you have a lot of questions." He groaned and still held my hand in his, and when I attempted to break free, he let me.
"I brought you here because when I looked at the magic globe again, someone had already cast magic on it to damage me." He hissed. I took a peek in his direction.
" When we returned to my dorm, I sensed the same magic around the hallway and someone hiding, but I'm not sure who it was." Xavier frowned at me.
"What! So you're saying that someone in your world is attempting to hurt you?" He nods. "The reason the last spy died giving me the last recorded video, which is a hazy vision, and I knew it was Eva was conversing with a guy who looked to be a gargoyle knight. I am unsure why I have warned no one about my existence."
"Gods, Eva? I can't believe it." I noticed the Castle in the upper High when Xavier stared straight. "Is it your house?" He nods, a brief grin on his face. "Do you want to go to the castle?" He fixed his gaze on me. "No, we're not."
"We'll have to wait a while and see what happens." He said we concealed from the area where it was best to monitor the castle binoculars.
