I stepped out of the place we were standing earlier, I was supposed to escape from this Oz who's pretending to be real but, he impulsively suggested that we should go together. Hakurei was with us. I'm walking before him, that's why I don't know, what expression he was doing. I slightly took a glance at him; his eyes were only laid on the parades, people. This Oz was acting like some sort of innocent like he doesn't know anything and even probably thinking I don't know who he is.
However, there's one thing that I would like to know from all of this.
'Why?'
There's must be a reason, where is the real Ozciel. Perhaps, the reason why the butler is gone is probably that this guy is not the real one.
But I couldn't bring to say that to him. He might do something, hurt me or probably not just hurt. I should play along with him until I get my chance to escape.
"Say Krahn." Hakurei somehow approached me, he was now walking next to me—his eyes were full of curiosity. He might wanna ask something. "Look at the guy you're with. Aren't we supposed to hang out like we're friends? Besides, you're supposed to buy drinks but…" he paused as he gazes upon the food vendor's foodstuffs.
"You're just ignoring it… we've passed on those food stores five times now."
I hate how Hakurei doesn't have any clue at all but, he is right. That fake Oz might get suspicious of me.
"Alright." I turned over to the vendor who sells a variety of drinks. There's pink, dark brown, and yellow beverages colours.
Dark brown, probably refers to chocolate, pink might be some sort of fruit, and yellow for lemonade?
When I checked my purse. I'm actually, running out of gin if I use this today. I won't be able to have lunch tomorrow, I have to work so I'm actually worried about it. But when I glanced at the fake Oz again, he doesn't really pay much attention here.
"What's wrong, Krahn? Are you buying or not?" Hakurei kept on pressing me to the edge because it's free. I smiled at him—still, irritation lingers out of my smile. Since he doesn't get the hint that I only do this for the real Oz. However, he seems still clueless. Well, I didn't say anything to him that's why.
"I'm gonna buy it. What do you want?"
A sudden interruption from the fake Oz piqued our attention. He stepped near the vendor, keeping his princely manner in a tuck. He smiled innocently, the sparkles on his teeth were so visible that I can't open my mouth to talk.
"I want the dark chocolate one!" but Hakurei didn't have any second thought of saying what he wants to get in the end. "Alright…" and this one agreed.
He then turned to me this time, "What about you?" and concernedly asked what I desire to drink. This time, I want to make sure if he is the real Oz or not, I might just mistake him for someone else because of his behaviour. I'm lost and confused, about him and his behaviour so I must find it out more clearly this time.
"I want this one… the colour is lively… so I want to taste it." I pointed my finger to the pink beverage.
I was waiting for the response but, I saw his slight-glare gaze slipping through mine. It was so fast, but glad I saw it. Because now I'm certain, that he wasn't the real Oz. Oz would never look me in that kind of gaze.
"I see." he somehow replied but I don't much get it, not even able to read his thoughts. This Oz was more like something dark, a pretender, is this some sort of magic? If it is. Then he might have information of Oz's whereabout.
"Can you give us—"
But I can't ask him. He was with me because he is planning something regarding me. If he is here to abduct me because of my hair, I must move, escape from this closing barrier that might trap me.
"Haku, Let's meet at the village…" I murmured at Hakurei.
Hakurei would blink his eyes, "Huh?"
I nodded as my response to him—giving him a hint of my plan. Although, he didn't much get it. I'm sure he'll do that. He is my best friend after all.
My legs began stepping back. "Krahn?"
"...!" I saw the fake Oz's surprised glare. "Where are you going?" he inquired, not even moving any inched away from the vendor's store.
I smiled confidently, "To find the real one."
"Wait?! Krahn, what the hell is going on!?"
After I answered his question. I left myself fade into the noisy and crowded parade. I should have done this sooner but I wasn't able to think of it as my way.
"I'm sorry, Haku. I wanted us to spend this wonderful night together but there's no way it'll be complete without the real Oz." I began running to the south. To go back to our village.
I haven't improvised a plan of finding the real Oz but I hope I can save him, find a clue where he exactly was, there must be a reason for all of it. His disappearance and the butler's—
When I realized that I'm already within the boundaries of the slaves. I began walking slowly, I'm kind of exhausted, and somehow chasing my breathing. That's not all of it, I can see a light, a light of cruelty coming from our village. Reddish-orange, just like a fire. My heart began to ache, it was horrible and terrifying.
"W…what is happening?" when I glanced once more to the city, everything was peaceful. No one has really realized that there was happening on the other side. "The Slave village is on fire? Why?" I asked myself, gazing back to my village.
I gasped out my shock. I shouldn't be here; I need to find my mother!
My legs slowly took a step, one, two…until the steps became a run. I hushed myself toward the burning village of mine. Questions began to rumble in my thoughts while I was on the run.
Why?
The village was burning, did something or someone attacks us?
Why?
Oz has gone missing, and his butler.
Lastly, why?
I'm with that fake Oz!
I didn't care about the sharp tall grasses that scrapping my skin. Even the pathway to reach the village, I didn't take it. I went straightly where grasses are, where I would get some cuts from it. I don't feel anything, all I want is to save our village.
I'm bleeding all over my arms, the clothes that were given to me was already torn but that was not the important thing. I will save my village if somehow, I wasn't able to do that, then I'll save my mother from it.
