Chapter 11 - New mansion

A few days passed...

Clara had been released from the hospital, but of course, she was Casey. ..the woman who wore a black dress combined with a pink top with open sleeves and let her hair down just like that, immediately got out of the car to be greeted by Nathan who smiled at her so sweetly.

"Welcome to our new mansion," Nathan said with a smile.

With Clara's eyes, Casey glanced at Nathan, who looked handsome in a blue shirt when combined with black jeans and combed his hair in a pomade style, then turned to glance at the mansion in front of him which was so magnificent with a futuristic design dominated by white and golden yellow. "This is our new mansion?" She said slowly.

"Yes, honey. Living in my parents' mansion is not a comfortable thing because there is Patricia who will always disturb our happiness," Nathan said then hugged Clara from the side. "Here, it's not just the two of us..there will be some guard and some maid who will accompany you when I am busy in the office."

'I don't even know who Patricia is and what's the problem with Patricia and you and Clara,' Casey thought, still dizzy from his soul trapped in Clara's body.

"Don't you like this new mansion?" Nathan asked, glancing at Clara, who just stood there blankly. "If you don't like it, we can stay at my apartment, then I will ask my trusted people to find other mansions that suits your wishes," he continued.

"No, that's not necessary," Casey said, shaking her head and letting go of Nathan's arm. "I like this mansion. It's very cool and comfortable," she continued smiling reassuringly.

"Then... Let's go inside."

"Come on."

Nathan smiled in relief, then grabbed Clara's right hand and immediately led her to the main door of the luxurious mansion. They were immediately greeted by two burly bodyguard wearing a black suit, standing on the right and left of the door.

"Welcome Mr Richard…Mrs. Clara," said one of the bodyguard, lowering his head for a moment.

Clara and Nathan just smiled in response, then they continued walking until they crossed the door. They entered the living room with golden-white nuances, equipped with modern and luxurious furniture.

"Are you in the mood for breakfast or do you want to go to our room right away?" asked Nathan.

"Um ... I just want to go to the room because I want to rest," said Casey as she continued to walk with Nathan until they reached the stairs of the living room. She looked up at the floor above. "Our room is upstairs, right?"

"Yes, honey. Our room is on the top floor. And since you're recovering...." Nathan leaned closer to her and carried her bridal style. "I'll take you there so you don't get tired."

"Nathan!"

"Wouldn't you like it if I carry you like this?" Nathan asked, raising an eyebrow, looking at Clara who was slightly surprised.

"Eh ... Yes ... I forgot," answered Casey somewhat nervously.

Nathan chuckled lightly, then started walking across the stairs carrying Clara casually. Sometimes he glanced at his wife who looked at him with a strange look, instead of making him weird and smiling amused.

"Honey, why are you looking at me like that? Why poisoning makes you weird. Even you go senile?"

Casey snapped out of her daydream. "Senile?"

"Yeah…you forget a lot of things about us, even about your habits," Nathan explained.

"I don't know why it's like that," Casey said with a flat look, and in her heart, she said, 'I'm like this because I'm not Clara. But I don't know how to explain it to you.'

"It doesn't matter... The most important thing is that you stay by my side. I promise no one will dare to hurt you again...I won't let anything bad happen to you again and the poisoning incident that time was the last time you were in trouble because of me," Nathan said until he subconsciously arrived upstairs. Dropping Clara to stand in front of the door. "Now let's see our new room," he continued.

"Hmm," said Casey.

Nathan immediately opened the white door until it opened completely and revealed the atmosphere of the room with golden-white nuances, just like the other rooms.

"I hope you like it," he said.

"So beautiful," Casey said, walking slowly into the room.

"Because you like pure white shades like this."

"Yeah."

Nathan followed Clara, then locked the door. He looked at his wife who was now sitting on the edge of the gold king-size bed, equipped with support poles and white mosquito nets tied like a butterfly, then walked over to her with a smile.

In silence, Clara felt the mattress wrapped in the white bedcover, with a heart that still couldn't believe that she was now Nathan's wife. She was no longer Casey who was Michael's lover.

'Is Michael still loyal to look after me in the hospital? Will he stay loyal to love me? Can I still return to my body,' Casey thought sadly until Nathan was already sitting beside her, even hugging her from the side.

"I miss you," Nathan said, resting his chin on Clara's shoulder.

Casey glanced at Nathan with a flat look. "Why miss? aren't we always together?"

"Yeah, but I miss your sweet attitude. You've been a little different since the events of that night."

"Sorry ... I didn't mean it like that," said Casey, feeling guilty for Nathan who would be devastated if he found out that she was no longer Clara, but Casey who only loved Michael.

Nathan sighed, still leaning on Clara's shoulder. Sometimes he kissed his wife's neck, inhaling her signature scent that had become an addiction to him.

Casey felt uncomfortable and awkward, but she didn't dare refuse because this was Clara's body and Nathan had the right to Clara.

'Oh my God, what should I do?' her mind seemed to want to scream.

"Honey," Nathan called.

"Yes," said Casey.

"Are you feeling well?" Nathan asked, lifting his head from Clara's shoulder.

"Yeah, of course," Casey replied with a warm smile.

Nathan smiled with relief, biting his lower lip while his hand brushed Clara's peach-lined lips.

"Can we ..."

Knock... Knock... Knock...

Nathan paused when he heard a knock on the door, causing him to let out a shaky breath in annoyance. He let go of Clara's arms, then stood up and walked towards the door.

"Who came at such an inopportune time like this? Damn it!"

Check...

Open door. Nathan saw a maid who was woman around 30 years old wearing a black skirt combined with a gray shirt top, looking at him with a slight bowing of her head. "What is it?" he asked flatly.

"There is a guest from the police, sir," answered the maid somewhat nervously.

"Okay then, I'll meet them later," Nathan said then returned to the room without closing the door while the maid immediately returned down the stairs to the ground floor.

Nathan looked at Clara who was still sitting looking at him. He bent down and kissed his wife's forehead when he was in front of her.

"Sorry ... I have to leave you for a while because I have a guest to meet," Nathan said.

"It's okay," said Casey with a warm smile. ." I'll be waiting for you while you rest."

"Yeah ... I met them first," said Nathan.

Casey just nodded, allowing Nathan to leave the room again. After that, she lay holding her head because she was dizzy with this situation.

'How ... what I have to do to handle all this, oh my God! I want back to my body the way it was... I'm sure Michael must be really worried about me. I really can't bear to let him grieve all the time!' Casey thought in frustration.
