Chapter 12 - Knowing about 99 days

Nathan walked down the stairs until he came to the living room, continued into the living room, and saw two policemen sitting on the couch. He walked over to them casually, then sat on another couch with his legs crossed.

"Are there any developments regarding the poison case?" asked Nathan.

"This is not a development, but this is just a prediction," answered one of the dashing but ruthless police officers in black basic pants combined with a dark blue uniform with several rank logos attached to the chest and shoulders.

"Prediction?"

"There was an accident and the accident victim died. From the identification, we found the characteristics of the victim exactly match the characteristics of the fake maid who allegedly poisoned your wife," explained another policeman who is slimmer than the other but still looks dashing and handsome.

Nathan frowned for a moment. "Die?"

"Yes, Mr. Nathan. You can look at his body at the hospital to make it clear whether he is a fake maid or not," explained the policeman.

"Okay, let's go now..but I will meet my wife first," Nathan said as he stood up.

The two policemen nodded, letting Nathan return to the room while they switched to drinking the hot tea the maid had served.

Clara lay on the bed, staring at the ceiling which was a white mosquito net. Was she the real Clara, or was she still Casey?

Check...

Clare's gaze shifted to Nathan who had just entered the room. She sat up and walked over to meet her husband who immediately wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her forehead.

"I have to go," Nathan said.

"Where to?" Clara asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Emmm ..." Nathan looked the other way for a moment, then back at Clara. "I'm away on important company business."

"Then what about the guests from the police, have they gone home?" asked Clara again.

"They haven't come home yet and they just gave bad news about the poison case," Nathan replied.

"I hope you don't worry too much about the poisoning case, because the most important thing is that I'm fine now," Clara cried, feeling Nathan's jaw.

"Everything will be taken care of by daddy and my precursors. I will only focus on work and you," Nathan said with a calm smile.

"Yeah... It's better that way because you have to be more able to value time, to be with the most precious person in your life."

Nathan just nodded, hugged Clara for a moment, then quickly left the room. Clara shifted to sit on the dresser chair, staring blankly at her reflection in the mirror. What happened, is she Clara, or is she still Casey trapped?

'Why? why should I be in your body and be your substitute to always be by your husband's side? This is so uncomfortable for me, Clara! Where are you actually…why don't you return to this body and then I can return to my body and maybe I can wake up and be with Michael who has regretted his attitude all this time? Why... What exactly happened? What should I do!' Casey screamed inwardly, looking at herself as still Clara. Hem, it turns out she is still trapped in the body of Nathan's wife.

Casey shook her head, then clenched her fists. She stood up and walked towards the wall with a cold stare.

'I have to make this body unconscious again, then maybe I can get out of here. I'm sick of all this, I'm really tired!' Casey thought then walked briskly toward the wall until she lowered her head and closed her eyes.

"Stoppppp!"

Casey gasped for breath, glancing at the person in front of her now, trying to keep herself from banging her head against the wall.

"Casey... Don't do this!" said someone who was a man wearing polite clothes all in white, looking handsome and not too manly.

Casey frowned, looked at the man in surprise then took a step back. "Who are you... You know I'm not Clara and you know I'm Casey? Who are you? Why did you come in here... Is Nathan, bodyguard, maid know?"

"Nobody knows." The man pushed Casey away from him.

"Then who are you? Why are you here and how do you know who I am?" Casey wondered with great amazement.

"I can't explain much about myself but let's say my name....uh...Say my name..." The man looked confused. "Arion... Call me by that name."

"Arion. Ok ..." Casey nodded his head. "How did you manage to infiltrate this room?"

"Because I can."

"Ok, and why are you here?" Casey asked again. She was surprised by Arion's presence, she even saw Arion's perfect handsome face without a beard, clean white clothes without the slightest stain, as well as a fragrant aroma that doesn't seem to exist in this world. Not like the smell of flowers or other substances.

"I'm here to tell you about something and because you're trapped in Clara's body," Arion replied then walked leisurely around the confused Casey. "You and Clara seem to have a strong bond even though you are not blood-related. Maybe that's why your soul is trapped in this body."

"Does that mean Clara is in me?" Casey asked in surprise.

"No... Clara is dead from the poison," the man replied casually.

Casey was silent for a moment, staring in the mirror in horror. She imagined herself currently in the body of someone who had died, making her shudder and tremble, glancing at her arms, her palms even touching her chest as if trying to feel her heartbeat.

'Clara died?'

Casey's breath hitched, her body trembled, imagining the first time she'd met Clara, that would be her last. And now she was in her body, making it seem like she was alive and by the side of Nathan who loved her so much.

'Poor Nathan,' Casey thought, remembering Nathan and Clara who loved each other and looked affectionate. She also remembered how when she woke up in Clara's body, Nathan was very worried about her, as if he didn't want to lose her, even now.

"She is dead ... She is at peace with God because she has achieved her dream of marrying Nathan," said Arion, breaking Casey's thoughts.

"But why should I be in her body?" Casey asked in surprise.

"Because in this way, you get a chance to know and see who is good and who is bad in your life," said Arion then showed his palm which was written a red number 99.

"99." Casey shook her head in confusion.

."You have 99 days to find out what happened and who was good or bad for your life," explains Arion. "Inevitably you have to accept yourself as Clara Because that's the way to solve this problem...You have to be smart and don't waste the 99 days that I have set. Make the best use of the time you have."

"Can I tell Nathan about this?" Casey asked.

"Hahaha... Hahahaha!" Arion laughed so hard that his face turned red. he looked at the confused Casey, which only made him laugh even more.

"Hey, what's wrong with my question? Wouldn't it be better if I told him everything and then we can work together to find out what happened to me and Clara?"

"No!" Arion said firmly. Instantly his laughter disappeared, showing a very cold expression.

"Ehh... I thought telling Nathan about this would solve the problem soon enough," Casey said with a frown on her face.

"You have to do it yourself..and if you tell Nathan, maybe he won't believe you, and you'll be thought of as crazy. That won't solve the problem...You can tell about yourself after you manage to solve this problem before the time that I set it up," Arion exclaimed very seriously.
