Chapter 14 - Chapter 13

"What are the rarest magical attributes?" I asked while staring at the twins. They are smiling widely at me, and they are creeping me out. "Is it related to their names?" I asked, and the twins looked at me in amusement.

"Rarest magical attributes bestow to some persons once every century. The twins have some of those rarest magical attributes." Prince Kalmin explained.

"Eeshaan means sun, and our parents gave him that name to represent his magic. He is carrying the light magical attribute. Esmeray means dark moon, and her magical attribute is darkness."

"They are trained not to use their magic without the permission of the king and the great mage. Erskine is still studying their magic. We don't know yet how to use or control it. We have no idea how strong their magic is and how it might affect our kingdom."

"You have one of those rarest magical attributes as well, Aphia." I quickly look at him after calling me by my name. I smile at him. "W-What?" He asks before avoiding my stare.

"What's my name again?" I asked.

"You are weird." He said before covering my face with strands of my hair. I glare at him while removing the hair on my face. He's weirder. "As a priestess, you have the ability to use holy magic, and it's one of the rarest magical attributes." He stated.

"What are the others?" I asked.

"Clairvoyance, the person who possesses this kind of magic has the ability of foresight, telepathy, psychometry, and mind-reading." He said, and I gasped in amusement.

Foresight: the ability to predict the future.

Telepathy: the ability of reading others' mind and communicating information.

Psychometry: ability to discover facts about an event or person by touching inanimate objects associated with them.

Mind Reading: the ability to discern the thoughts of others without the normal means of communication.

"That kind of magic is mind-blowing!" I exclaimed, and the twins laughed.

Prince Kalmin clears his throat as if catching our attention back to him with a straight face. "Please continue," I said while smiling at him.

"Tempus or Time, the person who has this magic has the ability to control time such as time travel, time loops, slow down or speed up time." I nod while imagining how someone can be lucky to possess that kind of magic. It's very useful in a way that you can go back to the past to correct your mistakes.

"Spatium or Spatial, it has the ability to control dimensions and space, and the last is Arcane Magic, it entails forces or phenomena that somehow transcend the natural laws that govern the world, possibly even the universe, by directly manipulating unknown and dangerous energies that can bend the fabric of reality to create almost any desired effect." He stated.

I feel like my head hurts with all his explanations.

So, there is Light, Darkness, Holy Magic, Clairvoyance, Time, Spatial, and Arcane Magic. There are seven rarest magical attributes in this world. Elemental magic is different from this magic.

"Those are the seven rarest magic according to our history yet. Erskine can only gather more information on darkness, light, holy magic, and arcane magic since those are all present at this time. We are also expecting that there are more elemental and rare magic that may emerge." Prince Kalmin said.

"Who possesses the arcane magic?" I asked.

"Kalmin!" The twins yelled.

"What?" I asked.

"Kalmin is the bearer of the arcane magic." Esmeray declared.

I shake my head while looking at him in disbelief. "What?" He asked as he glared at me.

"I couldn't believe the three of you acquired the three rarest magical attributes," I stated before letting out a sigh.

"What now? Are you jealous?" He said before smirking.

"Why would I?!" I retorted.

"We did not choose to be the bearers of those dangerous magic. It chose us." Esmeray stated.

"Our history tells us that only who was born as royals and aristocrats can possess the rarest magical attributes," Eeshaan announced.

"W-What?" I asked in disbelief. "But I am not royal nor aristocrat," I said.

"Really!?" The twins exclaimed, and I nodded.

"I am from the other world. I was just a normal human being in our world." I stated.

"The priestess is an exception. All priestesses should come from the other world, and they are the only ones who can possess the holy magic." Prince Kalmin explained, and we nodded in unison.

Wow. I've learned a lot about magic from Prince Kalmin. Maybe I can learn more if I always tag along with him.

"Have you tried using the arcane magic?" I asked in curiosity.

"I did some research and tried to learn how to use it, but I haven't used it yet to actual combat or in any circumstances." He answered.

"I can use five elemental magic." I said, and he suddenly started coughing. Is he drinking a bottomless tea?! He hasn't finished it yet.

"That's awesome!" The twins reacted.

"Though, I can't use the holy magic to the full extent yet. I can only use heal, one of the elements of the holy magic."

"It's because you are slacking off." I instantly look at him in annoyance.

"What do you mean slacking off?! I arrived more than a month ago, and I only got a one-day vacation!" I complained.

"That's the only vacation you would get for the rest of your life."

"What?!" I yelled. "Do you want me to turn you into a real frog?!" I stand up and look down at him. "Do you think you are being reasonable right now?!"

Prince Kalmin stands up, and now I am looking up at him. Damn six-footers. "This face?" He points at his face before moving his face close to mine. I bend backward to give more distance between our faces without avoiding his gaze.

He smirks when he realizes that I am not backing down. "Are you sure you want to turn this face into a frog, Aphia?" Shit! He is well aware of how handsome his face is. Get lost, Kalmin! Get lost!

I swallow the lump in my throat before pushing him away. He even looks at my hands on his chest. "It's getting late. I should head back to my room now." I am chuckling awkwardly while looking at the twins. "See you tomorrow," I said before storming out of the dining hall.

I breathed out once I got out of the dining hall. I got nervous about how the prince looked at me. I feel like he can see through me and know what I am thinking. Gosh! He's creeping me out!

The next day, Erskine and Prince Kalmin supervised my training. I show them all my elemental magic attributes and how strong I can use each of them.

Erskine wasn't satisfied by the level of my strength, so he taught me how to strengthen my elemental magic. He's been very hands-on in teaching and pointing out my mistakes in using magic.

"You should know how each element differs from the other. Focus your mind, Aphia!" He shouted while sitting comfortably under the tree. His attendant brought couch and cold juice for his damn master.

"Again! Fire!" He instructed, and I followed.

I have to release my magic faster than I could do before. Prince Kalmin sarcastically told me that the monster would not wait for me to get ready before it attacked. I should treat my magic as part of my body. I should learn how to use it to its full extent.

I stare at the piece of paper in front of me. "Inferno," I uttered, and the piece of paper burned down in an instant. It's a blue flame, and my eyes twinkled in amusement.

"Cloudburst!" Prince Kalmin shouted, and I was stunned to see a violent rainstorm pouring on his couch. I was startled when he threw me a death glare.

"D-Did I burn your couch?" I asked while smiling nervously at him.

I wasn't aware that the blue fame affected his couch. How did it happen?! I need a lot of training. I certainly need it!

"Icicle!" He shouted in anger, and I was stunned to see an arrow shape ice crystals floating in the air. He moves his hands, and the ice crystal moves at a high speed towards me.

"What the hell?!" I shouted in shock. I run towards the tree and hide behind it. "What are you doing?!" I was startled when I saw the ice crystal follow me.

"Stop hiding, Aphia. Fight me since you tried to kill me!" He roared.

"I did not mean it!" I explained. "I did not know it would affect my magic!"

Shit! One of the ice crystals moved to pierce me, but I quickly dodged it. Another one attacked me, and I ran off from his attack.

I should make a shield to stop those ice or burn to melt it. There are a lot of ways, but I am choosing earth this time.

I stop in the middle of the yard and face the incoming ice crystals. I kneel on the ground before placing my hand on the ground. "Mud wall!" I uttered, and a thick solid mud wall appeared in front of me, shielding me from the ice crystals.

"Above you, priestess." I heard Erskine's voice, and when I looked up, a bunch of arrow ice crystals was pointing at me. Shit! Damn Kalmin!

I focus my eyes on my target. "Inferno!" It burned down above me.

"How about this!" I was stunned to see Prince Kalmin floating in the air! "Windstorm!" He uttered.

"Oh, come on! Give me a break!" I shouted before running away from his attack. Damn it!

After a few hours, the whole castle yard turned into a mess.
